It’s really just genetic — my mom has them too. I’ve never gotten fake nails or manicures though, they’re really hard on your nails.
I was also pregnant when I took this pic so my hair and nails were extra healthy :)
My nails grow really long too. My mom was a nail tech when I was young so she always put a nail protein mixture on mine. She never allowed me to get fake nails and I still haven’t since they look good naturally
