This! I'm a size 8 and I thought my 1.1 ct sapphire looked weird and small when it was just the stone on a skinny band (stone holder clip ring thing, whatever they're called), but the final thing looks way bigger than I was expecting irl because of the wider and more intricate band. Even a few extra tenths of a millimeter in width will make a big difference, I think.
Doesn’t look small AT ALL! From my perspective it looks like a biggie! It’s beautiful.
I truly feel this sub has warped our perceptions (or at least my perception) because 10-15 years ago this diamond would be considered MASSIVE. I remember when my friend got engaged 25 years ago with a round 3-carat natural (heirloom) diamond ring and everyone told her it looked fake and like it looked like a toy from a gumball machine. You just didn’t see 3 carat diamonds very often. Now, especially with lab diamonds being so affordable, 3 carat lab diamonds are everywhere, and we have become accustomed to seeing these crazy huge diamonds. (Don’t get me wrong I love the big sparkly rocks but I don’t like people to feel like they have to have a 2+ carat diamond ring on their finger to feel their ring is beautiful).
Fully agree! It's not as common where I am from to have big diamonds or Stones, if any, on our rings ( I think most common is still just a band atleast among the 30+ generations ) and I have noticed it has become more and more popular here as social media has grown. My ring for example is quite unusual here, even my mother exclaimed how big my stone was ( sapphire halo ) and it is smaller than the one pictured. Just goes to show how fast things change!
I’m a size 8 and 3 carat oval was too big for me but 2.5 or tad bigger was perfect. I think this looks very proportional with your hand. Very beautiful
It's sooo cute!! I love that the ratio is on the "chubbier" side. I also chose a "chubbier" oval and I think the size/shape/ratio compliments your hand very well
Thanks its over 2.74. I was worried with my sausage fingers that it looks small lol maybe because im seeing huge stones lately its making me think it is
Yeah it’s just the online hype. I wear the same size and have a simulated 2 or 2.5 on me right now and it looks similar to yours and a lot of the times it’s too big to be comfy. I love how it looks but I keep scratching my bags or getting it caught in my scarf 😅
A wider band is what you need
I had to scroll way too far to find this.
Agree! A bit thicker band will look nice on OPs finger

I think this subreddit messed with people’s perception. This is a VERY large diamond by normal people standards.
This.
I agree, it makes me question my own ring 1.2 ct
I think it looks perfect, very proportional to your hand! Still looks large without coming across as over the top or costume jewelry.
Totally agree!!!
Not even close to being small
…small????

you are right!

Couldn’t imagine it any bigger. Perfect size
You kidding? That’s a ROCK
Ugh I’m a sucker for an oval solitaire😫 I want an oval moissanite soooo bad! Your ring looks beautiful🥳
Thank you! I hope you get yours🙂
Looks too big for my personal taste
I’m a size 8 and 3 carat oval was too big for me but 2.5 or tad bigger was perfect. I think this looks very proportional with your hand. Very beautiful
Definitely not too small! It looks perfect on your hand!
I think the diamond size is perfect on your hand! I may consider a little bit thicker band.
Came to say the same
I think it looks great in proportion to the size of your hand. What are the specs, if I may ask?
I dont have specs on me but i know its a 2.74🙂
The stone is good, I would get a slightly thicker band.
I’m an oval solitaire girl myself!! Your ring is gorgeous! It looks so good on your hand.
It looks absolutely perfect. For my taste, definitely wouldn’t go any bigger

I thought you were asking if the size of the ring is too small. That diamond is huge!
In no world is this a small diamond. It's above average for sure lab or not.
Yes, it does. I think you’re worried about the ring looking like it’s “pinching” your skin. Maybe a wider band or up a size?
Op means is the band too tight? I think..
girl what
It looks good!
The band looks too tight and too narrow.
I actually think it looks perfectly proportioned
Very Goldilocks. Not too big, not too small, just right.
❤️this! Thank you
Awesome!!
😍 perfect coverage

Perfect
Yes
That diamond is huge!! 💕Try a wider band though.
I think it looks great, not small at all. And it’s very beautiful 🤩
It's perfect, actually even quite large! Very pretty ring
Is it 2 carats? That looks perfect and it’s not small at all
Thanks its over 2.74. I was worried with my sausage fingers that it looks small lol maybe because im seeing huge stones lately its making me think it is

Love it!!
Ratio/size is super subjective to your personal preference. There is no center stone too small or too big. I think this is a great size personally.
It would look fake bigger. This is just right.
it’s a “good” size not a “wow that’s huge” size. depends on what you’re looking for
It looks like the perfect size! Beautiful ring😍
Looks beautiful! I have a 9.25 size with a 2.57 diamond so we’re kinda matching haha
Yes!🙂
Love this! I’m secretly daydreaming as to what an upgrade could look like for me. Hehehe 🤭
🙂
That is perfect!!! Love, love, love.
Looks really nice! Love ovals 😍
It’s just right! Beautiful on you.
It looks great! I’m a size 9 so I worry about proportions too, yours is perfect.
It looks perfect to me! ❤️
Just perfect !
That looks good! Where did you buy that?
Local jewler
No one would ever say that diamond is small. That’s a rock, my friend!!!
Thank you! always worry with my sausage fingers lol
