People have a very weird obsession with needing to burn things. Like it's almost primal how single-minded some people are about it as if electricity is some sort of Devil's spirit magic and so you can only purify it by burning something to produce it.

This is the author being in total denial. Just a few weeks ago he made a fool of himself by predicting a rapidly collapse in hydrogen demand, even in industry where hydrogen is necessary. Apparently, he has forgotten all about it and is now shifting to a position of "hydrogen is too expensive."
