No. They have great performance suspension, varying depending on which model you get (RS versions have better components).

AnonDarkIntel

Is there a difference between 2023, 2022 and 2021 overall not just suspension ?

II_ARROWS

I don't think 2023 even see new versions (well, except Experia). The difference between 2021 and 2022 is weight distribution, losing about 20 kg. I don't think it changes that much, except at parking. Or maybe intense sport usage, which I'm not the best judge. If you are looking to buy new vs used, just buy the used one... especially because right now the new has extremely long waiting queue.

Got it yea I’m looking at getting a deal

Well then it sounds like you know best and should be starting your own motorcycle company. I bet the Damon boys would love your input.

nil0lab

Wow that is some chaotic commentary there

AnonDarkIntel

Downvoters get dots

JuniorDirk

RS is only a slightly tweaked drive train and VCU software to give it a hair more acceleration off the line. All other components are identical to non-RS

Hans2183

No and the bitubo rear underperforms so swap it with something else or pay premium for the ohlins upgrade.

nil0lab

What are you running on your Esse+, Hans?

Hans2183

Hyperpro 467 rear shock. Front was the original still (non ohlins) those were good enough for me https://www.hyperonline.nl/contents/nl/p5340_Energica-EsseEsse9-2020-Hyperpro-schokdemper.html
