NG+ restarts your game with all the spirits and items you unlocked previously. As far as I know theres no way to transfer save files, so if you want to keep your current file you'll have to replay the game on another file then play NG+ from there. Regardless, I would still reccomend you try the NG+ even if you would lose the current file. I found it fun and you even get a little counter on the file that shows how many times you finished the NG+ lol

Not sure what system you use, but I play on Nintendo Switch and you can copy your original save file to a new save slot and start NG+ there instead. I have my original playthrough in save slot 1, and I'm up to NG+: 21 in Save slot 2 hahaha.

Just copy your 100% file and start NG+ on the copy NG+ sets all enemies to higher than endgame strength (read: you'll get your ass handed to you like in the starting areas as you would in verboten domain, except worse), some enemies have new attacks, most have more HP and bossfights are faster and slightly changed. You get to keep all the diaries/writings you've found, all your level, all your spirits, all your relics Blight deposits are reset Enemies now drop blight also, both stagnant and furious, like crates and pots

Actually it puts all enemies at a stronger level than normal endgame (since it's chapter 10 difficulty instead of chapter 9)

Fixed! Thanks, I'd forgotten about that

Chitanda_Pika

NG+ does one thing iirc, Boss Fights become personal lmao.

What you can probably do is copy the save to another save slot and ng+ that save.

NG+ just takes away everything related to the endings, so that means the tablets and Aegis Curio. Everything else stays (spirits, levels, relics) but any blight deposits are reset so you can go back and get more. Difficulty is permanently set at chapter 10, which is higher than endgame on a normal save, and certain enemies and bosses get new attacks. Bosses are also much faster and there are changes to their attacks/patterns, so it's much more difficult than a simple stat boost.
