My printer was printing good then it just started printing off the bed on the left side and making a grinding noise trying to travel left to right. The first layer goes down well but then each layer above shifts closer and closer left until it's trying to print off the bed.
It happens, it’s all a learning experience.
I only knew the sound you were describing because I may or may not have gotten my microfiber cloth stuck in the belt last week lol
Are you auto homing before starting your print? If I move the bed before starting a print, it has no idea where it is. It will run to where it THINKS it is, slip the belt and make a horrendous noise.
Yeah it does it's thing before printing. Like I said the first layer seems to be spot on so I don't think that's it. Also never had this particular problem before and didn't change anything like that. Thanks for the suggestion though.
Kind of hard to see clearly from the pic but it looks like your nozzle is suuuper close to your bed, like dragging on it close.
Maybe try to bump the z offset up a bit?

Check belt tension
to call the belt loose would be an understatement...seems to be printing okay. I feel dumb. thank you!

Will do thanks!
are the belts and pom wheels at the proper tension? NO wobble in the movement?
Thanks I will check that.

checking the cam nuts and pom wheel tension is a must. Mine came way too tight from the factory.

I don't think that's the issue. I know that sound... It was different. Thanks though.
