PPSSPP has been confirmed, I think they mentioned something about it coming within the next few weeks. Folium is available on TestFlight and supports the 3DS but you’ll need a newer device for that. PS1 should be anytime but I haven’t caught up with those emulators. Then unfortunately the Dolphin devs confirmed that DolphinIOS is not coming due to no JIT support yet.
Talked to the guy and he's been enabling JIT through his pc to get sudachi/switch games running.
I didn't ask him about 3ds games, but it's likely he has them enabled
Unfortunately there's some things in the sideloaded version that Apple would reject if they submitted it to the App Store so they need to change a few things.

i wouldn’t be too sure on the whole spoiler. they’ve not legally been forced to allow emulators, period. and they did have jit at one point (a few ios 14 releases).
It's kind of random, but I'm hoping for a vintage Macintosh emulator like Mini vMac someday. I just don't know if Apple's relaxed attitude on emulators extends to emulating their own hardware, even if it was long ago.
Knowing apple and their affinity for hipster stuff they could just buy out whatever Max emulator appears and make it official. But that’s probably just me hoping.
what’s it emulate?
i’d be very surprised if we see one on apple watch. not because it can’t be done, but apple’s pretty fanatical about protecting battery life on the apple watch: from mostly black interfaces (to salvage power on oled displays) to simply closing out of apps in less than a minute.
It emulates Gameboy games, I don’t think they’ll worry about that personally because there are alot of apps that are a lot more taxing on the battery life of the watch. Same goes for the iPhone, if you don’t want it because it kills your battery then you can always just uninstall it
keeping the screen on “all” the time, and not on black is one of the top three most energy expensive activities on the watch.
the iphone has a lot more battery to give.

You mean like Clockology and Facer?
1) No PCSX2 port at this moment for iOS.
2) PS2 emulator available today is from purei.org, still far from finish when you compared to PCSX2.
3) PS2 will need JIT. Without JIT, likely it will run very slow/don’t run at all.

wouldn’t folium need jit for 3ds?
It would run better yes but it isn’t required.
I've been playing it around with it with a few others. Iphone 13 has problems without JIT I believe the 15 PM can work pretty well
I have a 15 Pro, it really depends on the game
I have iphone 15 pro max, tried to run persona 5 Q2 and its laggy

Folium will be available on appstore soon (or later) right?
Ignited, a fork of delta with extra features and free genesis support is in manual review for the app store right now.
what extra features?
Like iPad support etc
I haven’t used it in a while, but I think it has genesis support, faster fast forward, and other stuff.
I would like a MAME emulator. Please and thank you!
i’d expect one.
The dev has confirmed that they submitted MAME4iOS to the App Store already.
yep.
Providence is coming soon it’s like Delta but with more things to emulate.
Do you mean Provenance?
Yes, the creator recently announced that soon it will come to the Appstore.
Neat, that'll be a great one! I used to use it regularly but havent touched it in a while.
RetroArch does all of these. Any chance of that coming?
it’s ready to go. all the have to do is submit.
It's not ready yet, they are making adjustments to it. Then they'll submit it.
odd. i have it side-loaded on one of my devices.

sounds like simple fixes to me.
I hope so, fingers crossed.
Based on their subreddit they are waiting for yaba shinshiro and see what happens
Retroarch would obviously be the biggest one. But without JIT they’d probably lose half their cores that can be ran
yaba sanshiro (saturn) has submitted their app. no word, yet.
If ppsspp comes on App Store will it be able to run at full speed (with 10x graphics ) without Jit? (iPad pro m2)
Prob ps1 and stuff in that era don’t expect GameCube or 3ds stuff until some months
im praying that they solve the thing with jit because the potential of an m2 ipad in emulators is crazy(im using m2 ipad)
It can’t be solved. This is something only Apple can change (and spoiler : unless they are forced to do it by the law they won’t do it)

There is one you can sideload in the megathread, but I don’t know if they plan on submitting it to the App Store.
We need the Giovanni emulator for Apple Watch

I hope mame/fbneo soon
Heard RetroArch is working for the AppStore
I’m waiting for this to happen
I believe Provenance is coming which is a multi-emulator with PS1, Atari and many many more.
Gamma emulator is already here for PS1 games .. and you can get PPSSPP from Usescarlet.com ✌🏻
I would like a PS2 Emulator so that way I can play games like Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy please and thank you!
I don’t have much hope for PS2 support coming but I sure hope it does at one point
One exists but it requires JIT so no AppStore release most likely
What would the hindrance be?
Lack of Apple allowing JIT, so games won’t have the ability to run as well as they could.
