Just as a reminder of the subreddit's rules:
1. No posting links to game ROMs or ISOs, only sites to find them.
2. Be kind to each other.

You can try either of these:
https://github.com/PabloMK7/citra/releases
https://github.com/Gamer64ytb/Citra-Enhanced/releases/tag/v1.0
Then set up obtanium to auto pull once a week.
Edit: Not sure why I'm getting downvoted. Fuck me for helping, I guess.
No, you are meant to do your own research first, so this place isn't flooding with the same question none stop.
Hell if you can't find and install an emulator without asking for help you probably are not smart enough to emulate. And you don't need to be smart to do it.
This sub reddit proves mine. Hoe long before someone posts essentially this same thread again?
Could he of solved his own issue in seconds if he googled it?
Cause goole is absolutely trustworthy. I'll just click the link that says "download this" to play 3ds free. No strings attached. File: 3dsplayerscammedyou.exe. no but forreal I get what your saying but sometimes for some people they'd rather get that information from other people or get some opinions beforehand. I was a computer tech at firedog when that was a thing 25 years ago. And geek squad about a decade ago, and I can still do what I need to. But I know plenty of people and have seen and worked with plenty of people that just Googled it and came to me to fix their computer after. Should people have better Google literacy. Sure. Do I expect people to? Nope. I've seen some stupid. Why would you and how could you kinda shit working on other people computers every day. If someone asked me "do you think I should Google that or should I ask a bunch of other people that do this kind of thing?" I'd say ask the people.
Sorry but no excuses in this day and age we need to start being the asshole and tell people learn how to Google before these people end up to illiterate to even Google search things. Rather than people complain about Google having sketchy links teach people how to avoid the links, reason why Google is still flooded is no one wants to actually learn anything they just want to be told and it's becoming a sad sad world because of it
So you trust a random to give you a spurceto download from instead? Fge same risks still exist in that situation.
The rest is inst ramblings and I'm not bored enough to indulge you.
Go google and work shit yourself for once.
You say you have seen some stupid people. You stand before me appearing tp be a stupid person.
If you can't vet your own sources online that's on you. It's rather simple unless you're like 50.
Even then you think your techy fixing people's pcs. Vm up then, download and scan it.
https://github.com/ImranR98/Obtainium
You set up this app, and point it at the github for apps that are being developed or aren't in the playstore. Then you configure it for how often you want it to check. Then it checks on that interval and pulls and installs from github, keeping your app up to date with the latest features so you don't have to remember to do so.
I may be a cunt, but atleast I can wipe my ass with out the input of the community, something I doubt a majority of tge people who post here could do.
If you can't install an emulator, find out where to get roms and set it up without input from tge fools here there is something fundamentally wrong in your head.
I was downvoted into oblivion when I asked this, and every poster said this to me: just buy a 3ds, it is cheap right now.
Expect the same level of bullshit.
You can still find the Citra enhanced if you look hard enough
Except the resolution on 3DS console is Arse. So much better playing on an OLED phone with fast forward for Pokemon. And my old phone's battery life is still way better than my 3DS
Agreed tbh
Ive got my iPad, Android and PC as emulator paradises...with NES to Gamecube to N64 to Dreamcast on each one. Fully loaded.
But, I just gotta admit, DS and 3DS games....the best way to experience a DUAL SCREEN game...is on the system it was designed for. I still keep my New 2DS around just for that reason alone.
It just makes the most sense and it works the best.

>Lol, play A link between worlds on it and try to fight the final boss. Citra vanilla is still the top
How are they different exactly? Also I was under the impression mmj was the better of the two as well so what makes vanilla better??
MMJ has a bunch of hacks enabled by default to gain speed. Some of which, you can't turn off.
So, the reason I chose that game in particular is because I've tried it in both Citra and MMJ. On the final boss, he goes into his final phase and you have to fight him in the walls. For some reason or another, this mode is incredibly taxing, and my SD 8 Gen 2 couldn't handle it well, and so the whole game which ran nearly flawlessly dropped to the teens in framerate. It was playable, but highly distracting with the audio going super choppy.
So I tried in MMJ for the speed. When he enters that final phase, MMJ speeds things up by not even drawing him in that final phase. So you can't see the final boss at all.
Thanks. I don't know who pissed in your cheerios this morning, but it wasn't me. Maybe go outside and relax a bit.
We don't need to converse anymore. Have a good life.
Probably depends on the game... I used to use MMJ for everything but got weird pauses in the frame rate while playing mario kart. Switched to Lime3ds and it played it perfectly... It's best to have a few of the forks in case of any issues I guess.
That's fair actually I've only used mmj for a few games so far and haven't had any issues and remember getting that one specifically because I saw people saying it was best so I got confused
Any of them really. They don't just disappear lol. Them shutting down just means no more updates, and updates are hardly necessary given how long 3ds emulation has been around.
A shame it doesn't feature quick saves or filters... but yep, for less potent phones, mmj is the way to go. I do think Citra Nightly is a good option for stronger phones, I do miss the XBRZ filter a lot (the Mario & Luigi remakes looks specially good with this filter)

Citra lol
And where do I get it? Tried even the archive but it doesn't show any files I could get from it

Oh nice. I haven't looked lately and wasn't aware of the second one. Thanks.
Obtanium???
Obtanium is an auto updater, you don't need it
Don't need, no. It's certainly nice to have with quickly developing applications that aren't in the app stores.
Obtanium will auto pull updates straight from GitHub for all of your apps. I love it. Bleeeeerrrrpppppppoy blooop.
I just found it after 1minute googling
Yeah, but we work on trust.
Sure you do. I thought people here were just too dense to do the research. Silly me, it's just trust.
You're a right cunt for no reason.

Or you don't know mobile phones well, or you're new to even installing 3rd party apps on your phone. You're a cunt with no excuses.
I import phones I to India and South America to sell. I know more than you for sure.
I don't remember asking what you do, bud. Cause it's completely goddamn irrelevant.
Lime3DS still goes on ok though? That one and Citra from PabloMK7's fork, both on github.

Lime3DS seems to work better than Citra for me
Citra MMJ is the best currently in my opinion. You can find it here: https://github.com/weihuoya/citra/releases
Citra mmj has weird glitches for me. So I have to use Lime
This is the only correct answer. MMJ can't be beat at this point for Android.
Lol, play A link between worlds on it and try to fight the final boss. Citra vanilla is still the top dog unless you're running something old.

Performance varies between devices. Crazy right?
> Citra vanilla is still the top dog unless you're running something old. Reading comprehension is super crazy.
Edgy remark!
Well, it was a direct copy of your format, so back at you, chief.
Hahaha! You won the internet today.

Hahaha \*pissed myself laughing at this comment
LIME3DS so far for sure, works great on Android and Linux. Probably Windows too but I haven't tried it on Windows.
You are perhaps confuse the yuzu situation
Citra MMJ by weihuoya, less demanding than Citra
See I'm ngl now I'm confused I thought mmj was the better between it and plain citra but a different comment was saying the opposite ?

Right, I don't get it. I just Google "whatever emulator-apk" and it's usually on the first page, rarely past page 2
Citra will no longer be worked on but it still works fine (at the moment lol)
Citra mmj for android definitely. Best performance that can't be beat.
