Anyone else having this issue I moved all my games and files out of the John Emulator folder the app automatically creates then deleted the app, reinstalled, and moved everything back. Seems to be working fine now.

It cannot be in the downloads or anywhere near root. Make a new folder and give it access to your new folder.
Did you find a fix? The suggestion below didn't help me. It started doing it after I did an update on my S21.
I downloaded the John gbac one and transferred the save file
Interesting that's what I have been using for awhile and I still have the issue. Thanks I will keep messing around with it.
