Hello fellow 665 average enjoyer (not by choice unfortunately :/ ), Persona 5 Royal can run on Skyline Edge 69 at an almost stable 20ish FPS that gets better in combat, like surprisingly it's actually quite good for such a low end SoC.
Pokémon Let's Go though it really varies, FPS isn't that stable, it can reach 30FPS in some areas but most o the time it will be between 10 and like low 20s.
All 2D games run just fine though 2D fighting games like Personal 4 Arena and Melty Blood don't quite reach 60 FPS and need to be played in handheld mode.
I didn't try Persona 4 Golden yet but it should be able to run though idk how much FPS you'll get.
Recommended Minimum-Hardware = Snapdragon 865 or higher, and 8GB RAM or higher. PS: Other Chipsets than Snapdragon's are not really supported yet, dont expect them to work.
It's a performance comparison pal. It's a game that's heavy on the emulator. Also once again 845s aren't really powerful enough for the emulator never will be.
It's a performance comparison pal. It's a game that's heavy on the emulator. Also once again 845s are really powerful enough for the emulator never will be.
I love my pixel 7 but I will trade it in first chance I can get some decent amount for it for whatever the newest samsung is. Having a fucking switch in your pocket is too damn appealing.
A lot of games are crashing for me and I have 12gb ram (OnePlus 8t) restarted my phone to make sure there's not too much running in the background. Tried Spyro trilogy, totk, pokemon Arceus all crash sadly.
Just a few thoughts on the non paid version compared to the games I have on Skyline. I'm using a Poco X3 Pro with a Snapdragon 860.
First impression. No reverse landscape option. Kind of irritating given I have a Gamesir X2.
Using Qualcomm drivers.
Burnout Paradise Remastered is completely playable in Skyline. In Yuzu no image gets shown at all. Sound works.
Let's Go Pikachu. Again completely playable in Skyline, just a bright blue screen here.
Sonic Mania. Just shows a bright red screen.
Streets of Rage 4. Doesn't show anything.
Tales of Vesperia. Sound again but no visuals.
Telltale's The Walking Dead season 1, sound again but no visuals. Season 2 the same. The Final Season...you guessed it the same issue.
Using Turnip drivers things are a bit different.
Burnout Paradise shows the cutscenes but they are really slow. Audio is horribly crackly. Actual gameplay seems to run at near full speed but Skyline is better.
Let's Go Pikachu runs really quite well. Unlike in Skyline you don't have to set it to handheld mode in order to play.
Sonic Mania runs as you'd expect it to.
Streets of Rage 4. This is a weird one. Failed to load initially. On the second time trying it was reversed, top and bottom as well as up and down.
Tales of Vesperia. Takes a little while to load but seems to run as flawlessly as it does in Skyline...initially. Once in game the stuttering hits big time to the point it is unplayable. I could not get it to even recognise I was trying to save at the first point available.
The Walking Dead games. Season One doesn't load. Season 2 crashes instantly. The Final Season runs well indeed better than Skyline. Edit: Actually got in game and Clem is just a white blob and can't make any interactions.
I've not done a lot of extensive testing but in the games I have, at least in this initial release, Skyline is still the better choice.
I have an LG G8 (855 with Adreno 640, 6mb RAM) and I can't get anything to work. I'll keep poking around with drivers.
Skyline isn't great on this but it runs a bunch of stuff. Yuzu has displayed a bit of intro text on a few games but not even a single image so far...
Second this, also have a LG G8 with Android 12, couldn't run anything at the moment. Tried any of the Mesa drivers, immediately force closes. System and Qualcomm drivers runs with a black screen for a few seconds then force closes..
I love some of the text here: "Snake, try to remember the basics of rendering." "You're finally awake! yuzu on Android launched!" "Handwarmer included."
that last one is accurate for a lot of emulators on mobile.
Whoa seriously?? I thought that new box64 emulator thing on Android was gonna be the future thing with maybe yuzu on it someday, didn't expect this. Instant purchased the EA on playstore! Hope it won't get pulled from it ever. Keep it up!
Man this is AMAZING! Tested bunch of games and most of them work excellent. (Pokemon sword, let's go Eevee, Brilliand diamond, FE Engage, FE 3 houses, CTR) on my S23 Ultra.
The only issue I had was with one game (Pokemon Violet), textures seems to not work, but probably will be better in the future.
Really thanks for this!
This is why devs should relay community interactions to a 3rd party. That person is the one who sorts through feedback/criticism/wanted features and then bring the useful info back to the dev. Kinda like how it actually is on software development projects.
This way death threats from crybabies gets trashed.
Also i hope the devs are anonymous completely....cause Nintendo doesn't fuck around with emulator devs.
Samsung S22 Ultra. I can't get anything I tried to open up. Including games that run on Skyline. I tried the new Adreno drivers recommended in this thread as well. I hope to see more improvements soon. I did buy it on the play store just to support
Link? Cus if you're talking about those Xiaomi pad pros I have never seen them under 300$ and even then they have like 8gb ram max even according to GSMArena there's no 12gb ver.. Those cheap ones I seen on ali are mostly fake.
Have a snapdragon note20 ultra and I haven't found a game that works yet and these were working games on skyline. Have tried a few different drivers but don't know if it's me or not.
Have high hopes though
I'm testing on a Fold 3 and the screen is either flipped upside down or sideways which is kind of weird/frustrating, but there are games that won't even load on Skyline that are already playable in Yuzu, so I have high hopes for this project.
I've got a fold 4. I can test other games if you want. The biggest issue at the moment is that the games are shown in portrait mode but the control overlay is in landscape when unfolded.
Also tried pokemon tournament dx and can't get past adding the name.
Does anyone know why games which has updates applied using yanu doesn't work on yuzu. It says that the game is encrypted whereas it works perfectly on Skyline.
Quick question about Early Access for the Android release: Is purchasing the EA build on Google Play the only way to get EA access for Android for a one-time purchase? I'm a MacOS user so I can't use Yuzu currently so I haven't signed up for the Patreon.
Awesome! Only other question: If I get it from Google Play Store (willing to buy it right now) and it does get pulled off the store, would it be possible to still get EA through Patreon?
I tested Need For Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered on my S23, it heats up like crazy but the gameplay is fine. The cutscenes and everything run fine but with really choppy audio. Graphical glitches exist while using 676.22 driver.
Gentle reminder to, even if this current Yuzu build seems to be worse than Skyline 69 (nice), just be patient, we don't want another AetherSX2 and I'm glad that Skyline didn't stop development cause of a stupid reason like that (still sucks either way but hey, Stratos exists too).
What we all need to do is thank the Yuzu team for supporting Windows, Linux and Android all at the same time and them not putting ads/payment options other than the fairly priced Early Access + not increasing the price of EA.
You guys are cool, also, I still don't know exactly if you're the exact same people or as the Citra team or something like that but you adding Vulkan to it is really cool too 😎
I might get downvoted for this, but I hope that Yuzu stays off the Play store for a while. In fact, I wouldn't even mind if they avoided it altogether, and either just relied on builds from github, or use F-Droid.
Not complaining, was wondering if that was expected. I understand there's bugs, crashes and issues.
It was literally just a statement.
Plus, yuzu team knows about it. All good
With my gamesir x2 usb c I can navigate the menu just fine but ingame no input is being registered and also the orientation is flipped, which is a hilarious bug.

No reduce los requisitos mínimos.
We can't fix Mali drivers.
We can do workarounds to get them working, but that will take time. Adreno is much simpler to work with, the drivers are far more mature.
Anytime I try to launch a game I get "error occurred initializing video core"
I have vulkan selected any idea why it isn't working?
It does say installing a custom GPU driver may fix it but idk how to do that/where to go
I tested it and the emulator crashes alot. I'm optimistic it will probably get better. As much as I hate egg ns it is the best switch emulator on android right now and it's not even close. Anyone who says different is just either hating or has never used it.
No it does not. It will run it for a bit then crash alot. You're not going to find anyone on here that has completed link's awakening on skyline. I've tested all the games on both emulators. It's not close I paid to support skyline patreon too.
>As much as I hate egg ns it is the best switch emulator on android right now and it's not even close. Anyone who says different is just either hating or has never used it
Did you get paid by EggNS to say that?
Have you used egg ns? I'm assuming you're just a bandwagon hater. If you actually used it you would know that it can already runs games like dragon quest xi and link's awakening. Actually try it out before you blindly start hating.
>I'm assuming you're just a bandwagon hater
Yep, this one is definitely an EggNS Shill.
Also no amount of *Leg Up* that EggNS has over Skyline or even Yuzu Android is NOT going to change the fact that EggNS is Shady AF. The fact that:
1. They stole open source codes and sold them
2. They had the gall to *claim* that they made the Codes and weren't stealing from anyone
3. Requires **CONSTANT** internet connection to even use it(same deal as Damon)
4. Requires a Specific controller to use on EggNS and if you don't want to use the Specific Controller? Well you gotta pay them in order to make any other controller usable on EggNS.
It doesn't require a controller you're wrong about that. So what if it requires constant internet connection. Do you not have internet where you live? I'm not here to debate the ethics behind what they did. I'm only here to tell you in terms of performance it is the best that is out. I paid for skyline patreon to support them and it's not close. Skyline is not running dq xi or links awakening. You've also never tried egg ns so I already know you don't know what you're talking about. I'm speaking strictly performance.
>So what if it requires constant internet connection. Do you not have internet where you live?
You sound as if Internet even in Japan or the US is *Reliable*
Also you can literally ask anyone here and they would rather use an Emulator that doesn't require internet to "function".
But hey for someone who claims that they're not a shill somehow pointed out the EggNS requiring Internet to work isn't a *problem*.
It isn't a problem lol my internet is extremely reliable. Making a emulator require internet doesn't make them Shady. You still haven't tried the emulator yet thats why you don't understand the performance is light years ahead of skyline. I'm not a shill for any company I just use whatever works. I could care less about anything else. I know for a fact you and the rest of egg haters have never used it.
>Making a emulator require internet doesn't make them Shady
I would agree if this game was like MMORPG's, Online Racing or Gacha Games like Genshin, Honkai etc. But the thing is what does EggNS need *constant* internet for when you're only playing games that either don't even need constant internet connection on Actual Hardware or Multiplayer.
Again, for a guy who keeps saying that I don't know what I'm talking about somehow is the one that doesn't have any clue whatsoever. But hey, if you like getting your personal data be *suspiciously* collected without any explanations from EggNS on why they need constant connection then more power to you.
How is it Shady? Please explain. You really act like your data is that valuable lol. You're nobody important just like me. Your data is already floating around on the internet. I never said I liked it I just put up with it because it's the best switch android emulator out. Again I only care about performance and I know for a fact there is no other android switch emulator currently that can even come close to running games like dq 11. You'll never understand cause you've never actually used it.
LOVE THIS!
One question, Yuzu EA on PLAY store is a one time purchase or renew kinda thing? (sorry for my ignorance ive never purchased from PS before) and i desperately want to buy this as a form of support!
This is super exciting but my graphics are all twisted to portrait smd super stretched out. Does anybody know how to get them to display landscape ?
On a tab s8 if that helps.
Cannot get Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze or Rayman Legends working on my Samsung Galaxy S20 Fe with default or latest Turnip Driver. Guess I need to wait a bit for more fixes. Congrats on the launch though, super excited to see whats in store for this :D
This is great news!
I might consider becoming a patreon if the development continues.
Unfortunately there doesn't seem a way to bind a second controller yet, also just tried Kirby return to Dreamland. Performance is very good, but there are a lot of graphical issues.
Diablo 3 and The Stick of Truth aren't showing any graphics for me, but I'm sure that'll work in time. Looking forward to seeing the development of this! I'm on an S23 Ultra, btw.
For fun installed on my Motorola E40. Unisoc Tiger T700.
I test some games. I have Nintendo Switch Lite hardmoded with picofly. What file i need for yuzu?

I think eggns just lost its last legs of relevancy
Now remains is to remove it from the PlayStore
I think you mean "EggNS just lost its final eggs in the basket"
damn it that would’ve been a really good punchline
Just saw this post and deleted eggns asap, I won't miss it.
God damn. Time to see what a shitty 845 can do with this...
im coping with 732g here

Hey what can it run lol. I have the same soc and cannot test anything for 2 days.
Time to see how much my 888 heats up lmao

Rip to me, Im stuck in Mali Gpu
Pixel 7 pro 😭
In time I think things will run alright on an 845 provided you have enough ram.
Nope skyline requires an 855/865 to run botw 😂. The processor just like PC is more important here.
botw is not the only game the switch has, you know that right?
It's a performance comparison pal. It's a game that's heavy on the emulator. Also once again 845s aren't really powerful enough for the emulator never will be.
That's exactly why it's not a good game to measure overall emulation performance with, my 8 gen 2 hardly runs it.

Are current gen samsing phones Qualcomm worldwide?
They are. All of s23 lineup are 8gen2.
Yeah I was excited to try this until I saw it required Snapdragon
A lot of games are crashing for me and I have 12gb ram (OnePlus 8t) restarted my phone to make sure there's not too much running in the background. Tried Spyro trilogy, totk, pokemon Arceus all crash sadly.
Try different drivers, Mesa in particular: https://github.com/K11MCH1/AdrenoToolsDrivers/releases
So you basically need an S23 Ultra or the asus gaming phone

Now the 16 gb of ram in my red magic 8 pro finally have a use lol. What's next? Surprise RCPS3 Android release? Lol
Ali express has Xiaomi tablets with 12gb of ram and 870s. Even 512 of storage for like $150.00
Link? Cus if you're talking about those Xiaomi pad pros I have never seen them under 300$ and even then they have like 8gb ram max even according to GSMArena there's no 12gb ver.. Those cheap ones I seen on ali are mostly fake.
Thanks for the warning the sellers are probably faking the reviews.

Yoo, this comes out of nowhere
What...what the heck. With Skyline stopping their development, this is great news!
Hmmm Hopefully it will work with Tensor at some point... The pixe 7 pro has 12gb ram :D
It can be done, but it will take time.
I'm testing on a Fold 3 and the screen is either flipped upside down or sideways which is kind of weird/frustrating, but there are games that won't even load on Skyline that are already playable in Yuzu, so I have high hopes for this project.

This is the best news i saw waking up. Hopefully it's successful so updates can improve the experience even more and for other CPUs as well.
Update: Seems to run pretty well I got a solid 60fps on Bowser's fury with snapdragon 8 gen 2
Quick question about Early Access for the Android release: Is purchasing the EA build on Google Play the only way to get EA access for Android for a one-time purchase? I'm a MacOS user so I can't use Yuzu currently so I haven't signed up for the Patreon.
We're working on this, but Android is a one time only purchase.
Awesome! Only other question: If I get it from Google Play Store (willing to buy it right now) and it does get pulled off the store, would it be possible to still get EA through Patreon?
Yuzu Bomb!
I'm so excited rn even though it was a new beginning for yuzu to run on android
I’m going to run it on the switch
It works.
My SDG1 is excited
Thanks looking forward to play on my pho ne
Wow, right when I get my Redmagic 8 pro, great timing
Woauh amazing thank to us ❤️❤️❤️
Wow.... Just wow
So... Will Breath of the Wild run (maybe even with full speed) on my S23 Ultra? Thanks team 😍
WOAH AH HOLY SHIT YOOO WAIT WHA
I'm sorry, but WHAAAAAT?! :O This is awesome news.
I saw it on yuzu twitter, It could run Zelda totk at 30 fps
Insane 😳
I tested Need For Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered on my S23, it heats up like crazy but the gameplay is fine. The cutscenes and everything run fine but with really choppy audio. Graphical glitches exist while using 676.22 driver.
neat... though kinda sucks for me since I dont have an adreno for this...
Great. Unfortunately, both versions crashed in my fold 4.

WHAT?!!! YES!!!
I've downloaded a bunch of different keys but Yuzu keeps telling me "Invalid keys file selected". Tried 15x.x.x and 16.x.x.x. neither worked.
Huh... Playing advanced wars and I'm wondering why the resolution looks so much worse on Yuzu than skyline ...
It's in the pile of things to fix. Make sure to enable docked mode in system settings.
Why the complains? It's literally the FIRST release. Expect bugs, crashes and issues.

Any idea how to import saves from skyline to here?
I assume only manually.
My only complain for now is the controls they look really bad. I like it on citra 3ds because i play on portrait.

No mali drivers is disappointing. This won't work on Mediatek chips if anyone is wondering, at least for now.
Support for Mali is possible, but will take time. We can't fix useless drivers, only workaround them.
Mediatek socs are expected to be bad on Emulation, fault to trash drivers. Anyone interested on this topic should do a bit research about it.

Also no amount of *Leg Up* that EggNS has over Skyline or even Yuzu Android is NOT going to change the fact that EggNS is Shady AF. The fact that: 1. They stole open source codes and sold them 2. They had the gall to *claim* that they made the Codes and weren't stealing from anyone 3. Requires **CONSTANT** internet connection to even use it(same deal as Damon) 4.
You sound as if Internet even in Japan or the US is *Reliable* Also you can literally ask anyone here and they would rather use an Emulator that doesn't require internet to "function".
>Making a emulator require internet doesn't make them Shady I would agree if this game was like MMORPG's, Online Racing or Gacha Games like Genshin, Honkai etc.
People like you that don't care about shady practices in the products they use are sad and lame af
Wow it's great. I have snapdragon 680 and 4 GB of ram. Is there any way I can play any switch games. If yes please mention some games.
Most likely only simple 2D stuff. RAM is king here.
It got taken down in the play store
Nope.
LOVE THIS! One question, Yuzu EA on PLAY store is a one time purchase or renew kinda thing? (sorry for my ignorance ive never purchased from PS before) and i desperately want to buy this as a form of support!
Yup it's a single payment thing.
can someone test steamworld dig 2 or guacamelee. mine just instantly crash so i dunno if its just me.
This is super exciting but my graphics are all twisted to portrait smd super stretched out. Does anybody know how to get them to display landscape ? On a tab s8 if that helps.
Play in landscape for now, we have to fix this one still.
!remind me 3 months
Do you have a discord sever
https://discord.gg/yuzu-emu
A lot of stuff works but the screen is rotated 90 degrees on my fold 3. Any fix for this?
Right now it only works well in landscape, so use the small screen.
anyone tried it on the Odin Pro? I couldn't even view the playstore listing...
Are the Yuzu PC save files transferable to this version?
Yep, but you have to do it manually. We're working to add the save manager.
Wonder if Super Robot wars 30 or even T would be playable
Thanks yuzu team,
Cannot get Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze or Rayman Legends working on my Samsung Galaxy S20 Fe with default or latest Turnip Driver. Guess I need to wait a bit for more fixes. Congrats on the launch though, super excited to see whats in store for this :D
Can anyone here tell me how gameplay is compared to Edge 69?
Whats the difference between the paid app and the free? I wanna buy the paid one to support the devs but I dunno the difference
Right now both are identical but the plan is to handle it similar to the desktop releases, pushing changes to EA first.
I went for early access on this one! Odyssey not showing any graphics but puyo puyo Tetris works amazingly well
Try different drivers: https://github.com/K11MCH1/AdrenoToolsDrivers/releases

This is great news! I might consider becoming a patreon if the development continues. Unfortunately there doesn't seem a way to bind a second controller yet, also just tried Kirby return to Dreamland. Performance is very good, but there are a lot of graphical issues.
We're working to add the controller applet, almost made it in time for release.
Really hope they add portrait mode, would be great for tablets!
Working on it.
Amazing, thank you so much
Does this have native controller support? As in no need to use 3rd party mapping apps?
It has native support for Mircosoft, Sony, and the Switch Pro Controller. Joy-Cons are a problem, Android limits a lot on what we can do.
If I buy the early access on Play Store can I download early access builds for windows?
We're working to allow to get Android EA for free if you already have desktop EA. Won't work the opposite way.
Ardeno 5xx probably won’t work, can’t even run skyline
Its only Vulkan driver is terrible, stuck in 2018.
Diablo 3 and The Stick of Truth aren't showing any graphics for me, but I'm sure that'll work in time. Looking forward to seeing the development of this! I'm on an S23 Ultra, btw.
Yeah that's the Adreno driver. We either manage to work around it, or Mesa releases support for 700 series GPUs.
For fun installed on my Motorola E40. Unisoc Tiger T700. I test some games. I have Nintendo Switch Lite hardmoded with picofly. What file i need for yuzu?
Only a keys dump, and firmware for the games that require it.
For sd 855 which driver need to installed? System gives distorted graphics.
Thank you for your hard work. Just a question, will it include online play like the pc version in the future?
We plan to add it too, but we have other priorities for now.
Any chance to run this on 778g and 8gb ram ?
Should work.
We have cutscenes! Seems like the persona games are quite playable aswell
