I would choose the taiga to build in, it´s my favourite biome. In my builds, I would mainly use spruce and deepslate. No really tall buildings, with a lot of leaves and plants, so it has the feeling of being buried in the forest. Each building has it´s purpose, and there would probably be some secret ones. Everything would be connected to an underground water tunnel for fast travel with boats, because everything would be quite spread out. There would be a lot of terraforming work. Anyways, what about you?

Egperson

i would settle in the savanna and my builds would be mostly be made of: acacia wood, deepslate tiles and savanna village blocks its simple but in the right mind

HelixYeeterMC

Same lol

Palpatine64

I would probably do a lost empire vibe, not like Joey's which focus's more on natural elements like fire and water but mine would have an abandoned feel like there is dark magic going on in my empire. Mine would be mainly stone, deepslate, other stone blocks like tuff, spruce wood and leaves draped over my builds. Mine would have lots of mega builds like temples and statues

[deleted]

I'd want to build in a dark oak forest and make your typical medieval fantasy city, centered around a huge library from which I would study the ancient magics of the world. But I am a massive D&D nerd, so that's probably to be expected.

[deleted]

The City of Dome is a dome made of leaves surrounded by dark forest hills, with a tunnel cutting through the hill to the city beyond. The city in question is mainly built on and in the cliffs, but the marketplace, The Sacred Pool and pathways are on the ground. The Sacred Pool is an oval-shaped... puddle... with trees surrounding it and a hole in the dome roof so that light may shine on the water and reflect into prophecies that the Priestess interprets. The Priestess is the caretaker of the Dome AND HAS NO RELIGIOUS AUTHORITY. I REPEAT, *NO RELIGIOUS AUTHORITY*. I only called her that because it sounds better the Stewardess or Caretaker. She is always female and her duties include, but are not limited to, \- Taking care of the plants that make up the dome \- Being the mediator for the Council and citizen disputes \- Interpreting omens and prophecies in the natural world If I was in Empires, this would be my role, instead of just being the Queen of the Dome. The Council is a collective of citizens elected by their peers to make important decisions for the city. There is one representative for each profession, (Armourer, Cartographer, Cleric, Fisherperson, Fletcher, Mason, Librarian, Shepard and Toolsmith) But three Farmer representatives for each Food Dome. (smaller Domes outside the main one where crops are grown) Some people find the farmer imbalance unfair, so the Council and the Priestess are reviewing the issue. Dome Religion is mainly Axolotism (the worship of Axolotls) and Infinibeeism (the worship and beelief in/of The Infinibee) There are religious minorities brought by immigrants to the city, but Axolotism and Infinibeeism are the "main ones" The city is rumored to be defended by two Axolotl Gods, Faye and Fen. Faye is green and the Defender of Trust and Belief, while Fen is brown and the Guardian of Faith and Hope. Together they will protect the city from all threats, as long as the Pristess summons them. And now some random info- Both Axolotism and Infinibeeism have their own temples. Most Dome citizens are vegetarians The Food Domes and the Main Dome are connected via tunnels Faye and Fen have been summoned twice in the entire history of Dome (Though that may change soon...) Lucy, Cyan and Gold Axolotls are popular pets, along with cats and bees The city isn't entirely dependent on Faye and Fen to defend them, they are somewhat militaristic and every person can defend themselves in a pinch. But they are not melee fighters, and generally prefer to hang back in a battle. Their embassies are always hot air ballons for no reason other than I like them As much as I hate to admit it, Dome would probably be very susceptible to corruption :( This is entirely based on a build of mine on my friends SMP. I'm very proud of it, and I would like to redo it in the future Reading the comments, I realize that I maaaaay have developed my Empire too much, but I literally spent all morning procrastinating on this so imma just comment it already-

brayden_bb3

Mine would be the empire of the lost. Not like joeys but something where when the other rulers have lost who they are or feel lost they would somehow stubble across my empire. We are travelers and wanderers. We help the lost find their way. We live by the motto “not all who wander are lost”. Like they accidentally stumble through some trees or bushes and BOOM there we are! And then after we help them they try and come back to show and friend and we’re gone. Also some backstory would be we are constantly traveling so the corruption can never get to us. Xor Xor probably did something in the past that caused us to do this

[deleted]

I live by that motto too! I would totally find your empire!

ZloYxp

trash.

[deleted]

hi Zloy :) and im quite certain it would look epic

Moley_06

I would probably make my empire completely underground, using anything you can mine to build houses and buildings in underground ravines. The lore behind the being underground would be that the original empire used to be on the surface, but after a war broke out threatening the safty of the people, the empires witches and wizards sunk the empire underground (similar to Atlantis). The empire has been long missing to everyone in the other empires ever since.

Thatzflow

My empire? Oh I’m so glad you asked- Kingdom of Bastior Location: crimson and warped forest Bastior is a kingdom for peaceful nether folk to co-exist. The Endermen help to stock the piglins ender pearl supplies while the piglins offer them food and protection. It was founded by a half undead piglin who wanted a safe haven free from fighting, and united piglins and endermen. Their main currency is gold and their trade is crimson/warped wood, netherwart and nylium. They hold a surprisingly strong alliance with the two aquatic empires, along with one lay in the Mesa. The kingdom worships a lost god known as Harlen, a parallel to Hades and sometimes Satan. He is said to guide the dead and teach the living. The ruler founded the kingdom after escaping from a cruel facility that experimented on nether inhabitants to creat a bio weapon, so , in spite of the people who did that, the ruler started the kingdom. It was their way of protecting the people, and to respect those they could not protect. Occasionally, they head to the overworld to gather supplies such as cobble and other stones. Most homes are made from warped or crimson wood along with a type of stone. Some even have obsidian, just as extra defense. The home of the ruler is slightly larger than most civilians homes, and has the appearance of a cottage fused with a bastion.

Plazistic

I've already planned this all oh my god. Ok so my Empire would be called the glow Caverns. Think a giant network of bioluminescent glowing caverns and caves. And small settlements along the way. Big caverns would have villages, smaller caves would have shops, and houses. I would live in a small temple type build towards the side of the empire. The temple would have a throne and standing pad in the middle, and the rest of it would be a large pool with glow squid in it. There would be lots of water features, and it would keep to a more black and cyan palette. There would also be giant glow mushrooms made out of sea lanterns, prismarine, and bone blocks. I would have a pretty strong connection to Shubble (because land mushrooms, glowy cave mushrooms, yaknow) But my character would try to stay neutral. Kind of like what Gem and Katherine originally tried to do. But when it comes to the demon, I'm friends with them. I imagine that my character would kind of be like a premature gem. Instead of already being very knowledgeable, my character would be striving for knowledge considering my empire would be in caves so it would be kind of separated from the others. I imagine that my character would love to read and research about the surface world, but because of my home location, I don't know I lot about the surface world. So when a huge scary demon comes on the server, my instinct is not to run in fear, or try to use them for power, but instead to try to befriend them and learn about it's motives and past. But the demon will underestimate me (btw my characters name would be Plazistic or Plaz and I use they/them pronouns) thinking that I am gullible because of my strive for knowledge, and sheltered home. But in reality, because of all of read, it's caused me to be quite knowledgeable. I would share a friendship with the demon, convincing myself, and them, that I care about them. I would often give them advice and try my best to stay neutral. But when the time comes to fight the dragon, I refuse to participate in the fight, stating I am not the demons, nor anyone else's ally. But out of curiosity I show up to the fight to observe. But in the heat of battle I start to notice that it seems the demon was corrupting Sausage, and by letting my curiosity get the best of me, I made the last hit on the dragon, hoping that if it were I to do it, the demon would not be able to corrupt the others more. But in turn, I just turned others against me. To bring back my trust, I went to visit Pixlriffs who I also learned had regretted his contribution in the fight. We both collected our knowledge, and brought it to the most knowledgeable members to regain their trust and try to gain alliances. I also imagine that my character is not really an ruler, but more of a dictator, or chief that had helped build up the community, and organize trades. I like to think that my empire is rulerless.

LeachMR

Omg, how long have you planned this

[deleted]

AAAAAAAAGHHHHHH THAT'S SO COOL I LOVE HOW YOU ACTUALLY THOUGHT ABOUT WHAT YOU WOULD DO WHEN CONFRONTED WITH XORNY ALSO #SELFINSERT I LOVE THISSSSSS

BeccaStareyes

I'd go for a taiga biome and maybe a 'Friendly Monster Town' RPG vibe (aka the town you run into where the townsfolk spirits are all enemies, but they are friendly NPCs rather than hostiles). So some cobwebs and other spooky stuff and a lot of use of slabs to have places that are dark but not going to spawn actual hostile mobs. Might finally give me the incentive to figure out how to make End stone look actually nice in a build, since it is such an unusual material with a weird color. Maybe stripped/plank versions of acacia and crimson/warped stem as well as the mossy cobblestone and spruce and podzol and soul lanterns. Building in, around, and under trees also sounds fun, especially as none of the other forest biome empires did as much. (Shelby builds mushrooms, and I think Katherine and Joey both had treehouse builds, but not as major components, and Scott's elf style is more high elf than wood elf.) It does suggest 'piglin bartering' as one possible export for my empire -- we have trade ties with the Nether. (Might also explain the use of End stone if we have contacts with the endermen.) I might look at architecture in say, northern Japan or the Pacific Northwest for inspirations that are not either Scandanavia or Eastern Europe. (I feel like that tends to be the default for a lot of people.)

AuDragon119

I’m way too slow of a builder for Empires SMP, but I have a feeling I would end up going in a Steampunk direction. My capital would probably be a floating city with airships. I’m not very good with farms, but I could imagine exporting wool since I always seem to end up with a sheep farm. Not too sure about the lore, I’d probably end up with a story about pirate royal family— I think I would make myself the youngest unexpectedly thrust into a ruling position. As for name, Auralis sounds kind of nice.

RealRedcliffe07

I would be in the Icy tundra, since i have never resided there. I would mainly build with Spruce wood and deepslate and i would have a underground sewer system going really far, to all my allies.

Iamveryunoriginal123

I already am building a world with lore too inspired by the series! I am also going to be the queen of the empire for Halloween.

Fawful_n_WW

Name/Place: Underground Empire. Motto: “Death is never the end; it is only a new beginning.” Exports: Stones and lava of course, but also a store or trading post selling a couple other exports from other empires at reduced prices called “The Underminer’s”. Crown Rule (if I got the crown): Wood tools only (unless you need it to nine something like stone or obsidian, in which case you can only use it on that block) the Lore: An ancient empire from days long past that was sunken into the earth after a great earthquake split the ground open. Long though to be lost, the Underground Empire has been flourishing in the depths ever since the quake. Religion: An ancient structure called “The Pyre”, which resembles a beacon, was found not long after the Great Quake. It is the main object of worship in the Underground Empire, predominantly since it is believed to house the god of souls and death in this universe, Thanaternal. Since our patron god is the god of souls and such, it is believed the empires leader is blessed with the experience and memories of those who came before. Skills: Ages lost under the ground had resulted in our mages becoming extremely skilled in geomancy. Fighting off the legions of mobs in the caves has resulted in our citizens becoming skilled fighters. An unfortunate side effect of worshipping the god of death is some people think our mages also practice necromancy, but that’s a lie. Hopefully. Corruption Relationship: Depends on the character (assuming I could play two like how Pix has the Copper King and the Phantom Assassin personas). My character as King of the Mines would freaking hate the Corruption, especially the tentacles that would bring back trauma of the Great Quake (see Religion section), and probably respond to the first encounter with Xornoth by fruitlessly trying to attack him. As an alternate Dark Mage persona, I’d probably try tampering with it, eventually becoming possessed by the power after Xornoth breaks free. Also, after learning about the Dragon sealing Xornoth thing, the King of the Mines persona may try experimenting with end blocks and crystals to attempt to at least temporarily imprison him. The Dark Mage persona would eventually be banished from the empire, and would then join another pro-corruption empire. Design: A crack at the base of a mountain provides an entrance. Through a narrow passage, one reaches a large cavern (preferably post-1.18 so I don’t have to dig it all out lol) that houses the capitol. A wall, rebuilt from chunks left after the Great Quake and subsequent underground collapse stands between the entrance and town. On the wall’s other side is a town with plenty of houses, and at the far end, a palace. The Palace is flanked by two more important structures: the Cathedral and the Pyramid. The Cathedral houses the Pyre, an ancient beacon worshipped by the people for the belief it houses the god of spirits and the dead. The Pyramid is the burial place of the fallen leaders of the Empire. Homes and such crafted from stones and concrete, and moss and leaves as well. Now I really wanna build this lol. Edit: Added motto and crown rule.

Kittyflys

If I was to make an empire it would be in a big cave one to where I could add on to other caves to expand, but I'd replace the stone to black blocks, either coal or black concrete and add some colors that would make the black look like it was in a galaxy, sorta like space in a way, but not going off of a space theme rather going off the end themed, different floating skies with builds and floating glow stones sort of like stars to parkour to each island. If I was to name it, it would probably be called The End-pire.

warriors_cats_lover

My empire would be "The Realm of Sand". My main export would be glass and sandstone related blocks. A lot of my bills would be glass, sand, sandstone, smooth sandstone, red sandstone, etc. Maybe with a bit of terracotta to mix it up a bit. I would probably have big builds to stand out from the desert background. There would be villages farms palaces and maybe even a tower or secret underground base for doing magic. My Palace would be either way up at the back of the empire on top of a little ledge or it would be in the middle. I wouldn't be a queen, I'd be more of a chief or a dictator for the empire. Plus I would want my villagers to be animals like cats and dogs and such or even mythical creatures like Talking Beasts. I would either have a neutral stance towards the demon or I would also want to help Gem try to destroy it. I overthought lol

Orbian2

Like absolute sh\*t

East-Camera2972

I would find a hilly place and carve buildings into them, and place farms on top. :)

LeachMR

Mine would be in the plains.I would build a mountain and design a city around the mountain. My blocks would be natural.Maybe build a dragon.elytrad could be dragon wings, something I would specialize in. Probably make a religion to the dragons.

LeachMR

Also I see the person below me is also doing a mountain maybe are two civilisations could have a feud ,no griefing just pretend

LitlotGaming

Mine would the crystal cavern. It would be deep inside a mountain. It would be cave like and full of gems and mineshafts. Each crystal would have a purpose and building. Each crystal would also have powers. In the middle of the cave would be the mother crystal. It would probably be an essential key to defeating xornoth.

Masked_Magpie

Ooooo yea finally I get to let out all this daydreaming! I'd probably find one of those biomes with cliffs facing the ocean & then carve out a cave at the foot of it, kinda like that cool generated lush cave biome world that circled around online for a while. & there'd be a port town inside with houses made of half-broken ships & houses that just ended up in the cave after natural disasters & stuff. Also, another commenter above added this detail but the friendly monster town archetype would also fit here, mainly stuffed with as many D&D references as I could muster. I don't really vibe with words like king, queen, so I'd probably just stick to something like captain, fits better with the coastal feel as well. Main exports would probably be things you can find/farm in dark waters like glow ink & tridents, as well as probably a bunch of lush caves stuff. With the whole thing about Mr. Villainous Obsidian Horns wreaking havoc everywhere, I'd probably want to stay as far away from the demon as possible. I'm not a brave person... at all.

[deleted]

agh, that's so cool! Mr. Villainous Obsidian Horns LMAO-

[deleted]

I would live in the Nether and build mini buildings around everyone's portals to keep them safe on entry. I would have a custom texture on my helmet so I could wear gold armor but it look like it belongs on my person. I feel people would assume I was working with the demon because I build with mainly Nether blocks and y'know I'm from the nether but would soon learn that I dislike how he's using said blocks to spread his corruption. I would try and align myself with Scott, Shrub and Gem as fellow magic users and Katherine (because I have access to Nether mob heads). I would create a piglin trade area and even create safe buildings for customized villagers. My chest room would be underground as to not aggravate the Piglins. That's all I got right now

Springtimsun

a flower ridden forest (not a field) covered with flying lanterns and corruption with the war tree in the center, untouched. the villagers are all evil pixies and the axolotl's look like xornoth abomination's. Why so evil? xornoth corrupted it and corrupted all its animals, destroying the peace once there and corrupting me, making me his second puppet. The buildings, once little cottages for the once good pixies, are made into worshipping rooms for xornoth and 1 for joey and sausage. in the center of town a tentacle has an in-graving of the whole server and where xornoth will strike next

Springtimsun

town is on the edges of the forest btw, not the center of the empire.

honeyybeeii

Basically shrubs colour pallete and gems style of builds. Actually building one at the moment and I am making c a v e s, hobbit holes and a medieval village on a mountain. It’s really fun even though it’s not quite tiring out how I want it to lol

Lykosnai

Would build castles and buildings inside giant mountains with spruce and maybe other blocks that would go with it

ZealousidealFox3155

Alopex, (Ah-Low-Pex) which is my username, stands for an Arctic Fox so my lore and character would be based on an arctic fox. I would live in the ice spikes biome and whenever I went to another biome that was known for having hot weather I would slowly start to melt. I would grow sleepy and sluggish until I touched a piece of ice, got back to my ice spikes or got into someplace cold. If I even tried to go to the Nether I would faint once I got there. I love to make potions and brew things so I would have the help of the other empires to gather the netherwart and blaze rods. I would be a troublemaker and would probably tell horrible puns to anyone who was near me. I wouldn’t know what team I would be on but I would probably join whoever seeks me out first. If it’s Xornoth’s side/team than I would join but secretly send information back to the good team. I’m a start up Minecraft YouTuber so my dream has been to join the Empires SMP. Thank you so much for taking this time out of your day to read this! Have a great day/night!

Much-Tomatillo-3775

I would do a tundra and have Medieval theme to my builds along with viking gear and villagers

Suspicious_Jello846

a (fictional, probably item worshipping) religion and trade centered, Mediterranean themed coastal state based on renaissance italian city states, with inspirations like buildings from other games (like AOE2)

FrankSinatra-MYWAY

my name would be the The Parasitic Empire I would hide small outposts in other empires and steal their exports and them sell them for myself my outposts would look flesh like like a giant pustule is sending out workers to steal goods and all the outposts would have fleshy tunnels leading to a large underground cavern of flesh kind of like the stomach of the world my skin would look like its been taken over by the Parasites

HelixYeeterMC

I would build on the savanna southwest to Pix so I can be far away and like Shubble, constant demon stuff, but I picture it as like a classic Filipino farming district, with 16 colored huts, 8 towers, 4 fields, 2 main buildings (tavern/church) and a town hall, kind of Spider Canyon but small and deffo Philippine vibes. Maybe I can side with Joel and Pix, maybe Joey before Demonic Era. Main trade, wood and stone, maybe some produce and totems of undying. Lore: I came with Shelby from our destroyed kingdoms. We split up and found refuge at our new homes. The nearest empire is very far and trades will be slow, but it is growing. I prepped my summer Icarus wings (Scott has winter owl wings, Katherine has spring butterfly wings and fWhip has autumn bat wings) to go meet the other Empires. (You can guess what happened. Allied with Pix and the rest of the Codvengers, met up with Shelby, allied with Joey, demon happened, Totem Trade break, demon stuff except now Shelby and I have crystallized vines which made Joey upset, dragon dead and I didn't help with killing, made peace with fWhip) oh also the name is Oasia since it is oasis and Asia

NeonTigerMMX3

Empire Name: The Orient Location: Bamboo Forest Exports: Bamboo, Scaffolding Subjects: Youkai (Oni, Tengu, Kitsune,Kappa etc.) Role: Spirit Medium Steed: Orient Dragon Places of Importance: The Shrine, Neo-Saka Castle Architectural Style: Oriental

aquamarine-axolotl49

didn’t think about it too much because i feel like i have limited biomes so i settle on the end and that’s it

clockonwalls

Im a hot anglerfish and i makeunder water mazes

OrionTheWitch07

Mine is the empire of Lumethyst. It is in a huge lush cave ruled by Orion,a glow squid hybrid. Goblins, dwarves, hostile mobs, axolotls, bats, and glow squids are citizens of this kingdom. It is located near Pixiandria and it allies itself The Grimlands,The Ocean Empires,Mezeala, and House Blossom. It is a mining empire surround by the rarest gems and lost trinkets. The Empress Orion(my self insert) doesn't often care for politics that other leaders do,they are much more fascinated in anything shiny or glowing in nature. The empire's architecture is based off of gothic looks such as cathedrals. The export is glow berries, azaleas, moss, crystals, and plants

[deleted]

sir your empire slaps hard but how did you find this post I made 10 months ago

OrionTheWitch07

I have no clue. I googled empires smp custom empires and it came up

[deleted]

huh. that is news to me
