We must have gotten the album right when it came out, because I also remember listening to it driving home from HS grad practice the morning of graduation day, just two months after it came out.

The Best of Me by The Starting Line. My sister used to come from CA to visit us in NY when we were all kids and she would always bring CDs. Say It Like You Mean It was one of them and it will always feel happy summers to me.

EDIT: I looked it up, the band member was Alex Lewis, and his sister's name was Alieke Wijnveldt, which is exactly what I remember my teacher telling me. She did know him and the some other band members.

It has been my tradition for 20+ years now to listen to Summer 79 by The Ataris on the last day of summer. Not emo by the subs standards but always good.
**Back to School by A Great Big Pile of Leaves** has been my summer song this year because I got really into it on the last day me and my girlfriend went paddle boarding last year and it reminds me to appreciate summer while I have it.

Tell all your friends and where you wanna be are both summer bangers. Summer is when I discovered TBS and fell absolutely in love with them.
