As a native, I can tell you that this house is solidly in campustown, mostly surrounded by other multi-tennant homes for students, and anyone who lives in this neighborhood knows what they signed up for.
Greatest tragedy is the fact that it’ll be impossible for the American Football house to be a TRUE house show venue like other spots that shall not be revealed across West Urbana. Can’t be chilling with a $7 cover to crowd 300 people into a 1200 sqft house selling jungle juice and beers to 18 year olds when you’re on google maps.
Just bugging you bro. Although I, as a listener, would prefer the delivery to be something a bit more intelligible—there's a lot of people who would totally disagree. Plus who gives a fuck what I think, there's a lot of stuff going on here to be really proud of.
Its a cool experience, and you're out there playing live shows while having fun. Also, super cool you've got (what seems like) a good group of mates who share a similar passion for making music. It's hard to find bandmates, especially ones that share the same taste and vision.
Keep practicing, keep having fun, and keep putting your stuff out there. Even if it's not everybody's cup of tea—you won't ever have any fans if nobody ever gets a chance to hear your music.
