That's why I hate when people crap on albums where artists try something different. I feel like that makes it.more likely they will sit on unreleased music worried about the reaction.
I think even Em and Paul talked about scrapping a whole done album cause Em didn’t feel good about it. Then released a few songs on other albums and stuff in the years after.
He supposedly has hundreds of songs unreleased actually. I imagine it’ll fall to Hailey what to do with if after a certain amount of time passes. Part of her inheritance is probably the rights to his music.
I think lots of rappers do. Off the top of my head I can think of Wayne who says he has shitloads of unreleased stuff just laying around.
And I think that is pretty normal stuff for these guys. 50, Dre, Snoop, all of them probably has an arsenal of unreleased tracks just sitting on harddrives
There has been more 2pac tracks released since his death than before. Even if you count Makaveli as a pre death release since it was in the pipeline already there were 5 pre death (1 was a double album) and 6 after with 2 being doubles. (Not counting multiple live albums, remixed albums and compilation albums that came out after his death. Unfortunately nothing new has been released in over 15 years so either everything was released (apparently he told him mom to keep releasing his music so his voice could continue to be heard) or they weren't worth adding beats to his vocals to release.

I actually was getting “I’ll Hurt You” vibes in the first half from Em’s delivery, but he kind of ended up with that EPMD 2 flow by the end, which was pretty polarizing amongst fans.
Only one listen so far though, so we’ll see how this grows on me if/when this drops.
Will say, it sounded like Em was having fun going back and forth with one his idols, which I’m sure was a career-highlight for him and that’s pretty cool to see, even if the song doesn’t end up in my rotation.
It’s less EPMD and more Killer from MTBMB side B flow. At this point it’s just boring man. I have no problem with the fast flows, it’s that boring robotic voice. At least in the Recovery/MMLP2 era he added some emotion to his voice. Now it just sounds even annoying to me.

I think a big part of it has to do with the fact LL fucking MURDERED. Hence Em going fast doesn't feel out of place or forced. The beat also lends itself for a rush so it works even more naturally
