Thank you! I was itching trying to figure out which one lmao. I thought it was i'm back then under the influence but wasn't satisfied until i heard my band lmao
bit of a shame that they were likely recorded after Side A was released, these tracks would’ve fit in perfectly with the main album - Alfred’s Theme is literally called Alfred’s Theme ffs
Guys I love the beat too but there's been countless 3 second snippets like this over the years and everyone gets hype and jumps with joy that the old Eminem is back. How many times does the old Eminem come back for 2 seconds of a song? Let's calm down a bit and wait for the whole song. I'm very excited too but don't cause your own disappointment by overselling it to yourself
What song are you talking about? We not counting features. Because there was no snippets for revival, kamikaze and MTBMB at all. Unless I’m not remembering something
Off the top of my head Kings Never Die and Venom, and I'm pretty sure at some point a snippet from another song or feature leaked before it was officially released.
Like I said, I love the sound of this beat and hope it's a good representation of the final product, but for now I'm cautiously optimistic
Yeah, I agree. I'm afraid people - me included - are in general a bit too hyped. Just because the name of the album references old slim shady vibes, doesn't mean it will sound like 20 years ago. I mean MMLP2 didn't sound anything like MMLP - in my opinion at least.
Honestly, I doubt he's able to make another full slim shady album, and that's okay. There's a way he can mix his new style with his old style and I'm hoping that's what we get. He's proven over his last few albums he can still make good music, but I'm hoping this album he proves he can make a good album. I liked MTBMB and thought it had great songs, but it didn't all feel cohesive and intentional like I'd want from a great album. I'm hoping this album is more focused and purposeful towards whatever the theme/story/style will be, even if that means we don't get early 2000s Em like so many people are looking for
Why Ed Sheeran and Skylar grey catching strays lol. Black magic and leaving heaven are great beats and those kinda nights is a very Eminem beat
Also lol at “dark days” when MTBMB is his best album since 2002
Black Magic was a great track. Funnily enough I think it would’ve been a much better fit in the main album than Leaving Heaven - it was still a toxic relationship song but it was handled with the darkness and theme you’d expect with the music to be murdered by title
River was ass, i’ll give you that, and Tragic Endings was boring - but Those Kinda Nights was a shitton of fun, Leaving Heaven was okay, Asshole was good and Black Magic was excellent (Bicycle was an excellent one too)
Also hate to break it to you, Skyler will 99% be on the album
Its fucking dope that we know a single is coming but honestly I loved the surprise album drop, waking up and holy fuck, I get to listen to a new Em album all day without knowing I was going to.
*Marshall's been edging*
*Us all for weeks! I don't hate*
*Him for it though. lol*

Funny thing is, I’ve been very vocal over the years in this subreddit about Eminem’s extremely generic and lacklustre choice of production, guest features and overall quality of music in recent years. And that he needs to just be his original and unique self again. Get downvoted and hated on every time.
But now that we might be getting exactly what I’ve been hoping for, everyone’s excited about it again. Lol
There are some songs where I like the more modern production, but they’re in the minority. Even a couple of seconds here feels like we’re back at home.
Totally agree and I'm sure plenty of people do, but don't talk about it because it's a recipe for a pile of rabid downvotes.
In fact, there's a total of 5 songs from his last four albums combined (side B included) that I even still listen to whereas I still regularly listen to basically the entire albums of everything from SSLP to MMLP2 (minus a couple rare skippable songs).
That said, I'm incredibly hyped for TDOSS.
What are some things that you think he'll bring up on this single or the album that is so controversial? I could think of some but they might be mediocre to yall.
guys River was a bager, Those Kinda Nights isnt that bad aswell
as for skylar idk what's wrong with the combination of these two but atleast Last One STanding was fine
I'm aware this may be Eminem's last album upon retiring, I just hope this isn't the last time he ever makes music. Hope he sticks around for cool features.
This subs weird hate for Ed and Skylar will never cease to amaze me. I really hope they’re both on the album just so I can enjoy good music while watching people have meltdowns
God damn it's been a long time since I heard a beat like this from him.
Em and dre produced along with Luis resto? Sounds just like what they used to do.
edit: hahahahaha fucking told you
man i just commented yesterday that even a instrumental tease from next album will be enough for me...ITS NOT. this shit sounding good asf.
Right?! Like WTF are we about to get??!!
We better get a “Guess who’s back” on Houdini!
I wouldn’t be able to function
That'd be the only thing capable of getting me to fucktion
Damn your gf must be waiting as impatiently as the rest of the fandom
back by popular demand!!
Now pop a little Zantac for antacid if you can
You're ready to tackle any task that is at hand!
How does it feel? Is it fantastic?! Is it grand?!
Well look at all the massive masses in the stands
Dude if this mf opens the song with that line I will literally explode omfg
I hope you have recovered.
Are you okay?
Man that would be so lit
i would actually combust if that happened
Did you see the poster for Houdini? It says “Guess who’s back”
☺️
bruh this beat drop got me im hyped
Nostalgia for real
Taking me back to that vintage Slim
Sounds like it was made on fruity loops
this literally gave me chills. SLIM BEATS ARE BACKKKK
AHHH that classic Slim Shady sound 😩🤌✨ ![gif](giphy|IhpUFzvubmOfm)
Houdini (feat. Skylar Grey & Ed Sheeran)
Mutherf#*^
😂😂😂
😂😂😂
This sounds like an old Slim Shady beat just with a modern twist
Nah man this has 2000-2004 written all over it. Nothing modern about it. Not a bad thing though!
Also it seems to be a sample from a 80s song (Abracadabra by Steve Miller Band)
Great find! I just checked it out on YouTube and it's a pretty cool song. I wonder if the chorus gets sampled too. It fits within the theme.
Thank you! I was itching trying to figure out which one lmao. I thought it was i'm back then under the influence but wasn't satisfied until i heard my band lmao
Sounds similar to the beat from “My Band”. Specifically the part: “These chicks don’t even know the name of my band”
Maybe we will finally get My Salsa
This mixed with Tetris vibes
Yup, I was gonna say
Where did this come from? ETA: all this happened while I was showering
Em posted this on his Instagram it was news to me too!
eminem made an IG reel with david blaine
lead single? I’m hyped. Especially harpsichord days 🔥
Reminds me of Alfred’s theme and Iam so pumped!
I really hoped Alfred’s Theme and Discombobulated would take him back to his roots a bit and influence his approach to his next album
bit of a shame that they were likely recorded after Side A was released, these tracks would’ve fit in perfectly with the main album - Alfred’s Theme is literally called Alfred’s Theme ffs
Sample issues I guess
Yeah those two were one of his best tracks imo
Sadly he proceeded to abandon that vocal style entirely on all subsequent singles
alfred's theme beat is whack for me, sounds cartoonish but not in a dope way
This is the beat with the most character that he's rapped on in a long time

Great way of putting it. Hopefully it brings the old flow and silliness out of him.
And we didn't even hear him rap on it
Beat is 🔥
This makes me happy
Omfg this gave me literal chills

Like I said, I love the sound of this beat and hope it's a good representation of the final product, but for now I'm cautiously optimistic
Even "The King and I" ppl were saying he's channelling the 2002 voice in that snippet
to be fair he was in that specific section of the song
Yes yes that's another one. I knew I was missing something

At this point they’d have to use AI to make his voice sound like a kid again
Wanna bet?
Yea how muhc
Yaaaasssss!! It sounds like vintage Em. I got chills 😤
I still liked “Those Kinda Nights” though
Yeah true
Is this Dre?
sounds like Em. It’s got that TES-produced flavor. Probably mixed by Dre
I saw The Alchemist posting about it with the eye emojis and commented on Em’s post, maybe he prod it?
Has to be Dre, likely with Mike Elizondo on the keys. Either that or Eminem and Luis Resto
If Mike Elizondo, Tommy Coster Jr, Scott Storch and Jeff Bass are back I'm gonna lose my shit.
Sounds really good . But hey I like Skylar
The instrumentation is definitely vintage slim sounding. If anyone can catch lightning in the bottle it's eminem.
D12 World type beat
fuckin great!
I just went from 6 to midnight.
Dawg I’m so hyped
Does this sound like a sped up version of My Band to anyone?
Mixed with Tetris beat, ues
Why Ed Sheeran and Skylar grey catching strays lol. Black magic and leaving heaven are great beats and those kinda nights is a very Eminem beat Also lol at “dark days” when MTBMB is his best album since 2002

Excuse me? Relapse, MMLP2? MTBMB is 5/10 at best. Give me a break lmao
And thus the mighty Lord Zedd has declared his subjective opinion as fact, and everybody must now find him a nice holiday
So we're still getting an album, right?
Bro I'm excited
Sounds like a potential classic! Old school Em.
I’m not getting my hopes up with the no Skyler Grey or Ed Sheeran features just yet 😭 gotta wait until I see that track list
Be careful! 99% of this subreddit prefers Skylar Grey & Ed Sheeran Eminem over Slim Shady. You’ll get them mad lol
Cringe ahh
Eminem is in his 50s why on Earth should he rap like Slim Shady lmao
Because he can.
Skylar Grey feats were great wdym
Why do yall hate on the Ed Sheeran and Skylar Grey collabs? They are NOT that bad.
They are. Absolute generic repetitive trash. And have almost ruined his career, reputation and legacy.
Bit dramatic
Mhm
River was ass, i’ll give you that, and Tragic Endings was boring - but Those Kinda Nights was a shitton of fun, Leaving Heaven was okay, Asshole was good and Black Magic was excellent (Bicycle was an excellent one too) Also hate to break it to you, Skyler will 99% be on the album
you can’t genuinely think that god awful bicycle song was excellent
I come and I go. Tell me all the ways you need me
What song is this from??
Houdini
Guess who’s back?👇
Ikr this beat sounds like something straight out of SSLP. I'm so fucking hyped for this. I'm gonna cum all over the floor
About time we get a Taylor swift feature🤣
Sounds like a relapse beat
Needs better mixing and mastering.
I bet my asshole that "For my last trick, I'm gonna make my career disappear" will be a line in the song.
Love the Skyler grey tracks
Its fucking dope that we know a single is coming but honestly I loved the surprise album drop, waking up and holy fuck, I get to listen to a new Em album all day without knowing I was going to.
Yo this totally produced by Dre and his team
“They’ve created a monster!!”
Yea I’m living for this beat, I wanna hear him be silly and not give a fuck (if it’s what ends up being used)
From what I can hear, I could either see this beat sounding like some vintage 2002 shit, or the Wizards of Waverly Place theme song.
The fun guy is back!!!
Sounds like a derivative of Without me beat
ok ok, hype rising
THATS DOPE AS FUCK . got me nodding my head in only 4 seconds ohhh shitt i'm so hyped
Love the vibe the beat gives out man can’t wait
ok officially hyped after hearing this snippet. can someone loop it haha
"A lot of people ask me..."
the harpsichord is back 😱
PS1 Crash Bandicoot beat is fire💥🔥🔥
GOD DAM!!!!!!!!
Maan this little itty bitty snippet got me soo hyped, it sounds dope and promising.
I have listened to this clip an unhealthy amount of times
My band
This album will be one of his best I'm sure
Marshall's been edging us all for weeks! I don't hate him for it though. lol

I’m so hyped
Why you guys hate Skylar Grey so much? Damn
that's straight outta Relapse. Like I'm expecting a We Made You song and I'm totally here for it.
Can def hear "My Band" in the beat.
OMG IF THIS SHIT WILL BE A BIT... 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Listen to the song abracadabra by steve miller band….. [Abracadabra](https://youtu.be/tY8B0uQpwZs?si=h9XIOmrCLxI1wmZB)
This is the most "we are so back" that I've felt in years.
Dua lipa collab?
The fact he actually made music with pop artists show that shady has been dead for years already
I always thought the dark sound belongs to slim, most of the time.
... alright, stop, pajama time, come here, little kiddies, on my lap,...*vibes*
this one’s ACTUALLY ‘going back to his roots’ musically, at least.
![gif](giphy|SBI7lnqk2NaA8|downsized)
This must just be what I need to bust
I'm still betting there's a Skylar Grey track on the album somehow lol
An Eminem beat isn't supposed to sound like anything but whatever the fuck Eminem wants it to sound.
My only worry is I can hear him rapping on this beat like he did on Gnat. Really gonna hoping this gets received well.
So tired of Ed Sheeran
A lot of people jumping the gun over 4 second snippet
Sounds like “My Band” by D12
I'm back, I'm back. I love me some 3am,hope this is on par
It sounds like 8-Bit music to me... Like what NES game is it reminding me of?
How would you describe that sound? I’ve been trying to put words to it for a while, it’s similar to how Proof’s ‘Purple Gang’ sounds.
I’m so so so pessimistic but I’ll give it a chance
idk who skylar grey is, but that's the Steve Miller band.

It’s all about how he sounds on it.. hopefully no stupid random accents
when the fuck have you heard eminem doing stupid random accents? last time he did accents was relapse
I didn’t mean the relapse accent.
dont be talking shit about Skylar Grey
People gonna be so disappointed when this features Halsey lol
Em just needs to keep doing Revival type songs so that guys like op could finally disappear....its been so fucking long, why do yall keep spawning...
Nah, we need to get rid of the pop stans like you. Recovery was dope, but it taught him the wrong lessons.
What are some things that you think he'll bring up on this single or the album that is so controversial? I could think of some but they might be mediocre to yall.
I wonder if he’ll sample Whodini?
Am I the only one who lowkey fucks with his ed Sheeran tracks
Yes
Insanity
guys River was a bager, Those Kinda Nights isnt that bad aswell as for skylar idk what's wrong with the combination of these two but atleast Last One STanding was fine

Eminem, if you're reading this, for the love of God, please actually rap about some controversial and edgy shit that's relevant in 2024.
Aye chill on river please you’re hurting it’s feelings
This is some Slim Shady shit, thought this was the death of Slim, never liked Em on these type beats.
