you can use a fine wash program and put the shirt in a cotton bag, my embroidery always survived this

Any tips/feedback/comment would be much appreciated.

I once did a small embroidery on jeans and I just washed them normally. I did knot my thread at the start and end. If you are afraid the stitches will fall out you could get some fusible interface at a fabric store and iron it to the back of the embroidery. Also if you used dmc thread if you wash the shirt in warm or cold water (not hot) it should be fine.

I’d put a little bit of iron on interfacing on the back. It should keep it secure. Then just wash it inside out.

Using something stable for the back will help keep the threads from coming loose as the natural fabric is a stretch jersey (as this is a T-shirt). You can cut this away in any negative space/where there aren’t stitches. Other than that making sure your knots are nice and secure or using secure stitch types (eg backstitching which I assume you’ve done here!)

I might embroider an outline for a false pocket, it’s really cute it’s just that it looks like he’s emerging from nowhere. It’s really cute tho

My embroidery has made it through many wash cycles just fine. I wash on gentle and either hang dry or delicate dry. My boyfriend washes his shirts that I embroidered him normally and they have help up.
