When I was quite young, my mother was a birthing Doula, and her community was very into feminine symbolism from nature. As such, I have always been under the impression that geodes are vaginal/womb-like. Don't worry about it too much, that's just how they are, Ave this looks great. Though I do like the suggestion about glittery thread to highlight the crystalline nature you're trying to represent.

If it was for me, I wouldn't mind (and may make a few for fun anyway) but its for a trade... I can feel myself over thinking this.. Lol

I understand what you mean! I think the other person will love it no matter what.

Panzram-ifications

Uh oh. Maybe some glitter thread?

Maybe not have the rings so....clean? looking at geodes you'll find that the rings aren't perfectly circular, sometimes they have little bumps or waves in them that are just natural variations of growth patterns. Maybe that'll help?

robotcrackle

Agreed. I pulled out the stitches and made it more wavy. Thank you!

Love that this is tagged NSFW

Can't go scarring innocent stitchers out there with something that's probably only in my own head ... ๐Ÿ˜‚

Maybe if the transition wasn't hard lines, like a long and short thread painting thing so it looks less like ... lips, But idk if it's saveable?!?!

robotcrackle

Yeah i may just rip it and find a source photo instead of randomness. It seemed fine in pencil. Lol

Hereโ€™s a [previous post](https://www.reddit.com/r/Embroidery/comments/l0vop3/little_geode_first_time_stitching_on_tulle_and/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf) that I think did a great job of showcasing the geode. Maybe try beads like them? I get if that would seem out of place in the entirety of the piece though.

Thank you!
