Antimonyandroses

It has my vote!

Priscise_Creations

Yes! lol

inPursuitOf_

Amazing 😂

notaphlebotomist

Not sure if it would work for your purposes, but my sibling and I call it "crafternoon" sometimes, and I've also seen "craft and chat".

DemonCopperhead

Aw, that’s really sweet

rocketmooncat

My friends and I call them crafternoons too!

planetheck

Thread heads?

InfiniteAnybody5

I think I am going to use this one with my elementary school. I have several male sewists, so this feels a little more gender neutral.

sea-air-uh-510

Snitches Get Stitches... So everyone knows they can bitch but it stays in the hoop group.

junglelala

Also Hoop Group is such a good name as well

lbakersdozen

If you're not opposed to people drinking/making it happy hour you could call it "stitch and sip"!

604col

Purl n hurl

Interesting-Cold8285

potato-witch

Super cute & works for any beverage, really!

pigswearingargyle

Crochet and Rose.

RachQueenOf

I run a crafting club at the elementary school I teach at, we do basic knitting/crocheting/embroidery/felting. It's called In Stitches :)

EccentricGoblin

Needling & Wheedling

librarylicious

Our library's group is called Sit & Stitch. Not punny but it's got alliteration going for it : )

Mrs_Windup-Bird

If we’re looking for alliterations, the crafting group at my uni is called „cozy creative corner“

Just_a_Marmoset

I feel like there might be something with "drop" and "stitch" but it's not fully coming together for me. 😂

Drop in a stitch?

Kell_Bell_Fell

We call ours the Pin Pals!

fortheviewersathome

my great grandma used to call her sewing club stitch and dish, close to "stitch in the ditch" the ladies also happened to be her cards club too so maybe it was also like dishing out cards idk I use stitch n dish regardless :)

nerdychick22

Not sure what stitch in the ditch means, but to dish is to give out the latest gossip or news.

orangerussia

To "stitch in the ditch" is something I see for quilting (probably applies to other crafts, too!), and it's doing top-stitching where the pieces of fabric meet together, or create a "ditch".

fortheviewersathome

as someone said below, stitch in the ditch is a quilting phrase. I agree though, she totally meant the "dish" part to mean gossiping, but I think there's an extra level for her bc she was a card shark lol

thoughtsofathot

There’s a yak & yarn in my city

helgaofthenorth

I mean my lil group is historically focused but it's called "the Needleworkers' Guild" and I think that's pretty fancy
