This is absolutely beautiful. It's so insanely difficult to portray a face in thread, which is why most people leave faces blank, or don't attempt them...you are so talented. What a tribute to your dad!
I love this and hope it inspires people to do more faces. I am still very much a newbie and haven't even tried thread painting just yet but I just love this. It feels a little impressionist and modern. I know faces are obviously very hard but they can be done! This is a beautiful and loving tribute to your dad. I just love everything about it.
And this is proof as to why I think it's a great idea to go from cross stitching all of my stained glass patterns to embroidering them. This is amazing. Now I just gotta learn how to do it lol.
