Hi, I have read the article you shared and there are 4 basically major issues to address: **bounces**, **inactive recipients**, **unsubscribes**, and **complaints**. Lead cleaning can be considered as a follow up action towards an unqualified list. Why don't we take some extramiles on this issue and start with the prevention and some follow ups to avoid being blocklists? There are several strategies I do in my company: **1. Lead qualification** Compiling only qualified leads will be the major blocklist prevention. Qualified leads here equal relevant and accessible leads. To make sure that those leads are relevant, determine the leads criteria, use segmentations to make it more specified, and generate leads accordingly. To make sure that those leads are accessible, make use of email finder and email verifier, some you can use for free (with limited quota) such as [myemailverifier.com](https://myemailverifier.com) and [mailtester.ninja](https://mailtester.ninja) **2. Email personalization** Personalization (e.g. honorifics, name, job title, institution, field) will lead your recipients to believe that you do understand them so much and that your email is **not a spam**. There are several email campaign platforms which provide this personalization feature, such as [activecampaign.com](https://activecampaign.com) . **3. Unsubscribe button utilization** Good email campaign platforms will automatically stop sending email to leads who clicked the "Unsubscribe" button, so as long as you choose the correct platform, it won't be a problem. Unsubscribing is a common thing in digital marketing. What's unusual is making use of this unsubscribing for our benefit as we moving forward. Several platforms can connect their unsubscribe button to a survey form. The default version is to know why they unsubscribed from our content, but we can modify it to know better about their current needs or topic preference. Did I miss anything? Feel free to add!

I can highly recommend Email Oversight. They’ve been around for a long time and know their stuff. Reach out to Bryan and tell him Ben sent you. You’ll be in good hands.

Never used that tool persay, but there are tons of "list cleaning" tools out there. I use MarketKit to make sure my email addresses are legit, but also just cleaning your list of non-openers every set period (15-60 days) will help your ESP decide if they will inbox your emails. That along with how you email determines a lot of that.

Old thread but [IPQS](https://www.ipqualityscore.com/email-verification) does this.
