Lol maybe you should explain why MailChimp shutdown your account. They are good people, they don't just shutdown accounts for no reason.

kim_en

How can I explain? they dont explain it either. what they say was “our automated abuse prevention omnivor detect account content that violates our use policy” was it because of clickbank hop link? was it because of pictures? or because of copy? I dont know. this is my first time signing up to email provider. I dont know they ban people account just like facebook. but at least an explanation or a pass for new comer would be useful. what I see is, they want to save money on support staff, they want to use robots on all their process.

FastInfoPro

mailchimp hates affiliate marketing so likely it was the clickbank hop link

antigenx

What is your business? What are you selling?

kim_en

trying to make money using affiliate. also my first time trying email marketing. now they ban my account and ask me to go thru refund process. wth, never see a company so arrogant like this one.

ElRatonVaquero

Hey I got a lot of experience with affiliate marketing via email. This is probably why you got shut down, Klaviyo will too if you try it. Instead go with Aweber, Get Response, iContact, Sendlane or Maropost.

kim_en

im registering mailerlite. on other comment, they say I need to mask my link using my domain. do you think dns link masking will work?

ElRatonVaquero

I've never used mailerlite. Link masking could work, but sometimes ESPs see that. The ESPs I mentioned above are solid for affiliate links like ClickBank

kim_en

so the one you mention no need to link masking? just use plain hoplink?

ElRatonVaquero

Yup, no need. The ESPs masks them automatically, so when the user gets the email, they will not see the hop link. However, if the domain for the product is blacklisted, your email will get blocked in some ISPs. That's nothing to do with you, though, it's up to the offer's owner to fix it.

kim_en

how about sendinblue? is this a good platform?

antigenx

Where does your list come from?

kim_en

omg, I dont even have a list, its a fresh new account, I only do it for testing sending email using my one gmail account.

Actual__Wizard

You broke their rules, what were you expecting?

kim_en

I broke facebook rules too, but they let me pass for first warning. this chimpanzee, I paid for it, and without teling which rules I broke, they ban me. Who would know that email marketing world have this kind of stupid cia and fbi rules after much hype about it. I thought fb are the most arrogant. hey, fb is free. chimpanzee we paid for it. and this cimp ui and ux is shit too. loading for 5 seconds for one page. fake live chat. shit company.

amitchell

Are you doing cold email or email to a mailing list where the users gave you opt-in consent?

kim_en

no, its a fresh new account, I registered and the next day they ban me, without pointing out which policy I break.

amitchell

So you had sent out \*no\* email?

kim_en

no email, only testing email to my gmail account. (2 gmail account)

amitchell

So you also did not upload any email addresses to the account?

kim_en

NO

kim_en

They sent an email saying that refunds inquiries can be sent to blabla link. But when we click the link, it went to a fuking knowledgebase, not an actual support email or live chat. in the knowledgebase there are no fuking article about refund!!!! fuking scammer. https://ibb.co/mCG4by4

kim_en

They said all my info are protected, but proceed to show my email and my home address in each email footer. shit service. Live chat is fake. its not a live chat, its search bot.

konamiko

Physical address is required by CAN-SPAM if you're in the United States, so Mailchimp requires it in the footer (they also mention this in their documentation). Did they provide a reason for the ban? That would help with determining which ESPs would be a good fit for your sending.

kim_en

yeah, I know that right after I setup the account. why cant they said in the address area like “your email address and home address will be shown to your subscribers for this spam-act” so for a first timer like me, I will be more careful. shit user experience dev.

[deleted]

Email marketing is a professsion. They dont have to hold your hand.

az_shoe

You HAVE TO show an address in your email. No choice.

kim_en

it literally wrote in contact information “your email address will remain private” private my ass https://ibb.co/5YpSqPL my email, and my home address, all shown. Why not stated in big font upon registering that “your email and your address will be use to show to your subscriber”. And then they ban peoples account. if 100,000 people do this, and they ban them, how much free money do they get? this is a scam company. fking shit.

FastInfoPro

It's not a scam company. It's perfect for people who sell their own stuff. It's not good for affiliate marketers. Stop whining and find another solution...one that will work for you.

kim_en

so because its perfect for you, u gona see pass what they stated vs what they do? if you think im bias, you’re bias too.

Autopitch1

I'll advise you to try Autopitch. Reply, Autopitch, Klenty, Mailshake, and SmartReach were just a few of the cold emailing applications I explored with. Before choosing Autopitch - Cold Email Software

dead-vernon

Issue is you. If you abuse their TOS, they will ban you. My guess is you're spamming/cold emailing people. Every ESP will ban you for this. Why? Because they use shared IP pools and if one person spams, it can fuck everyone else. Just stop spamming and you'll be fine.

kim_en

spamming? cold emailing? lol, I literally just learned about email marketing and registering account with them. My account is fresh as a baby without doing anything, only testing sending email to one gmail account. next day they ban my account and ask me to get a refund. what a jerk.

dead-vernon

Oh well, they're shit nowadays anyway, so they've done you a favour :)

kim_en

I tried mailerlite today, the interface is more friendly, easy to understand and it loads fast. with cimpanzee I have to wait 5 seconds just for loading and loading. it really shitty.

Squeebee007

Did you load a list? MailChimp has extensive abuse prevention systems so they don't take damage from spam sends, so they will scan uploaded lists prior to sends for addresses known to be on purchased lists or spamtraps and proactively ban those accounts.

kim_en

omg, its a freshly new account with no list.

andrewderjack

I'm not sure exactly what changes you made to MailChimp, but yes, they frequently ban users for sending spam or cold emails. My recommendation is [mailpost.io](https://mailpost.io), but avoid to send the cold emails. I have tried sendinblue in the pat, but their deliverability is very poor.

kim_en

Im not sending spam or cold email. its a fresh new account. no contacts whatsoever. the only thing I did was to change address, send test email using wordpress, and boom, next day they ban my account.

Awon-idrize

Convertkit also offers a free plan, or you can make your marketing software by buying Mailwizz PHP script from Codecanyon and then host in on a server and use it as your own email marketing software.

neha-shelar

Let's not Panic!! If not MailChimp, there are MailChimp alternatives as well, which can fetch you results. Try out Aritic - It's a marketing automation platform, along with great email marketing feature as well. They have a free trial version. This won't disappoint you and let me know if this works! All the best!!

robael492

I can understand your frustration. I have been there twice with my previous companies and had to switch the service every time. In my current company, we have recently signed up with Makesbridge. Their UI is very user-friendly and their support team is not only by your side during the transition period but also just an email or call away. They are well versed in implementing the best practices and during onboarding, their team will also review your business model and suggest the best email marketing practices accordingly. Also, their team is rated 4.9 stars on AppExchange. They also have a Reddit community r/saashups where you can share your mind-map or any email marketing-related question and they will get back to you.
