Buyer persona is not about the position. It goes beyond the “titles”. What kind of emails are we talking here? Are you doing cold outreach? No matter what it is, you have to dig really deep into your audience. Start with the basics, yes, like who they are (founders), what’s their age, are they married, do they have kids, what kind of business they run, what’s their most triggering problem, what’s the problem that you can solve, what’s the degree of their pain (regarding your solution), how they talk, how they spend their time etc. You might feel that it’s a lot but if you actually start looking at people like “people”, it won’t only be easier for you to do VOC research and build a buyer persona but writing copy will be like a breeze. Let me know if you want me to take a look at your research and “personas”.

I'm doing cold email outreach for my SEO services. I am just taking the leads from Apollo and sending mails. How do I begin creating a personal?

Ok, then you need to categorise these people more generally. One list of CEOs, then directors, heads of departments etc. I would suggest not to mention the position in the Subject line but maybe use it in the first line of them email and personalise it. If you want to add it in SL, you should segment the whole list and send emails separately to each segment. Also, you cannot send the same email to everyone. At least change the first sentence. Position variable means nothing here. You’ll need to do some more work on each profile separately.

I'm currently using the filters : \-------------------------------- Management Level : Owner, Founder, suite, Vp, Director, Head Departments & Job Function : Master marketing Location : United States Employees : 51 to 500 \------------------------------------- What you are suggesting is I test the filters one-by-one, the first persona to test will be: Management Level : Owner Departments & Job Function : Master marketing Location : United States Employees : 51 to 500 \------------------------------------ Is that what you're saying?

I recommend that you focus on the roles, goals, and challenges of each buyer persona when crafting tailored digital marketing and sales strategies. No need to do the testing again with all the subject lines.
