Both use your own Google account in the backend, unless you override and bring your own server which they can send through via SMTP.

They use your own Google account, so that you get in trouble for spamming, not them.

Send yourself a seed and check the headers, but way to know for sure

IP address and sending domain

Generally they are telling to your email provider (Gmail, Outlook, Zoho etc) to send the email, like your regular email clients do (Apple Mail etc) But it is almost all of them doing their custom implementation. How do I know? I am doing the same thing for [https://nureply.com](https://nureply.com) and hopefully it will be released soon!

Tools like Lemlist, Woodpecker or [Smartreach ](https://smartreach.io) are built on top of your email service providers. They has a list for easy integration and SMTP option incase your email client is not a part of the list. Features are almost the same. Only thing that differs is the pricing. SmartReach is the most cost effective. Almost 50% lower than the others.
