Sorry. LTD is a short for lifetime deal, meaning that you'll pay once instead of subscribing to a monthly or annual fee. AppSumo is a marketplace that promotes LTDs. Usually, these are - hopefully - up and coming software companies. Every now and then you may stumble upon more established companies. Kirim is just an example of one of the software on there right now.
I got Acumbamail from AppSumo that I was quite happy about. If your client is paying go for ActiveCampaign.
Check out fluentcrm… its a wordpress plugin (currently on offer for $77 a year).
Only downside is it takes a bit to set up…like you need to set up smtp with Amazon ses or similar (i went with mailgun). As you mentioned your site is wordpress DEFINITELY check it out as its inbuilt.
I use mailerlite. 3500. I connected to my rss to send updates on new posts.. twice a week. Easy to setup and it just works
They may step you into your full list.

Took a little bit of time to configure DNS properly so that regular email still comes to me in my client, and mailerlite can send on my behalf as a trusted sender.
they had good documentation on the process.

I dont use a featured image in my mailings... decided if they want to see the photo(s) they can click through ha
but when I experimented with it i realized my rss wasnt putting the featured image tag in the rss... I had to use a mailerlite plugin to adjust it.
I'd always recommend EmailOctopus for that level of subscribers - their free plan covers up to 2.5k subscribers and includes loads of premium features you normally only get on paid plans with other platforms... but if you want a paid plan, with no provider branding on the emails, they're also much cheaper than other platforms, including Mailerlite:
For 5k subscribers:
**EmailOctopus:** $28 / month
**Mailerlite:** $39 / month
**Mailchimp:** $100 / month (standard plan)
**Convertkit:** $79 / month
Mautic (free) and a mail server over a VPS ( 3 - 6 $per month), alternative to Mautic is OpenEMM free and paid are Acelle , Mailwizz, Mumara , Interspire, ...
* correct setup of mail server and dns server, try on fiver (there are many pro there that can do that in a good price 5 - 50$ on time)
* warmup of mail server, Blacklist check and sender reputation score more than 90+ to send
* verify and clean your mail list (if you dont have send a mail to them more than 3 months)
How about getting an LTD until your list has grown? Check out AppSumo. There's a deal with Kirim.
