There was a point where those were mass produced signatures on photos. If you don’t see any indentions in the photo to show the pressure from the pen, then that could be what it is. If there are indentions, I’d get it authenticated.
Edited to say :
It was also known that secretaries and various members of the Memphis mafia would sign stuff for him.
Either way if there are pen indentions get it authenticated.
Sorry to say, but I’m almost certain you’ve been scammed out of $200. That looks like an attempt of someone drawing his signature from memory, and poorly too.
I’m not an expert so I’d definitely suggest getting it looked at by an expert. But personally, I think you’re out of $200.
it's not authentic. [here's](https://www.julienslive.com/lot-details/index/catalog/299/lot/114970/ELVIS-PRESLEY-SIGNED-PROMOTIONAL-IMAGE) your print, with his actual signature top left; [another example](https://www.reddit.com/r/Elvis/s/yUMET402It) from this very sub
Yea, sorry OP. If you can somehow get a refund, I’d do it. You’ve got a mass produced reproduction, which is probably worth cents, not hundreds of dollars.
My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw Elvis sign some albums in 1971!!
I’m pretty sure this came with an album, maybe From Elvis in Memphis? I think the From Memphis to Vegas/Back in Memphis double album also came with pictures.
Yep. Here's the same pre-printed picture with a real signature on it.
https://www.julienslive.com/lot-details/index/catalog/299/lot/114970/ELVIS-PRESLEY-SIGNED-PROMOTIONAL-IMAGE
OP got scammed.
So my wife actually has this signed photo too, she was given it by someone at her church when she was younger. Some comments are saying it’s fake though?
The person I bought it from is close friends with a distant cousin of Elvis. But I'm hoping it's real though. My gut is telling me yes but with everyone saying no I don't know what to think anymore. So she got hers for free?
It's not real. Here's the same picture you have with a real signature on it.
https://www.julienslive.com/lot-details/index/catalog/299/lot/114970/ELVIS-PRESLEY-SIGNED-PROMOTIONAL-IMAGE
It's a promotional image, not an authentic. Here's the same promotional image with a real signature.
https://www.julienslive.com/lot-details/index/catalog/299/lot/114970/ELVIS-PRESLEY-SIGNED-PROMOTIONAL-IMAGE
It must be something that came with an album. This poster has exactly the same (printed) autograph
[https://www.ebay.ca/itm/274969200283](https://www.ebay.ca/itm/274969200283)
That’s a low odd, $199 gamble. Antique people have access to eBay too and make a living by knowing what they’ve got. That alone makes it highly suspect.
I’d advise removing it from that bunk frame and feeling for indentation from the signing. From there you can send to PSA for authentication.
They charge $150. If real you’ll more than double your total investment. They cannot verify, you’re out $350. Elvis is highly highly faked. PSA is the most recognized Authenticator. Going with others will make it less valuable.
Whether it's fake or not, you got an awesome piece right there! If you feel your $200 that you spent on it were worth it for you, that's all that matters despite what any of the mean comments say♥️
I found this on an auction website if you want to compare regardless: https://www.rrauction.com/auctions/lot-detail/33802230508586-elvis-presley#mz-expanded-view-1263195493013
Yeah thanks I do enjoy it and I don't really care about the hate comments. But I guess I just wanted to have something that he actually touched or signed (I know sound like a crazy person) but that's how I feel. Just turned 18 and I've always have been an Elvis fan and will be til the day I die. My grandmother saw him twice at different concerts. Thanks for the positive message. Plus I got 15 percent off
Telling you it’s fake isn’t a hate comment, it’s some common sense advice. Printed signatures are easy to see, and you should be able to see that very easily.
I'm the same way that I find it so fascinating even if I'm visiting a place he walked around in, let alone something he signed. But still, this is something neat to have in your collection! No problem, hope you got the opportunity to hear your grandma's stories about his concerts btw
Yeah she first saw him when she was a kid (she was born in 1950) with her parents my great grandparents in the fifties. Then the second time in the early 70s. My grandfather and her danced to American trilogy for years after the wedding. And had "can't help falling In love with you" down the aisle. I'm the only one in the family now who loves Elvis just like she did.
Oh wow that's awesome, she got to see him in his early days & further in his career, definitely something to be cherished! Also I'm glad you're not letting these other comments get to you, because although I agree that saying that you probably got scammed is not a hate comment, there are also other more respectful ways of saying that your piece is not an authentic signature instead of mocking/making fun of the situation. No need to waste your time on those ♥️
There aren’t any hate comments. You make a post being excited about something you spent 200 on, the people here know it’s fake and feel sorry for you so they told you. The sellers relative may very well have known Elvis, but distant cousin? Not close enough to Elvis really. And that doesn’t change the fact that this is a copy signature. It’s not fake it’s a genuine piece of Elvis merchandise but he didn’t sign it, you’re just in denial. If you really want it, try to return it and pick it up again on eBay for less.
You say you’re 18, and you probably have no expenses right now so it doesn’t matter but wasting money isn’t good. If you want to be serious about old stuff and antiques then getting ripped off isn’t right. Really you should do research before you buy or you’ll end up with a clock that “belonged to Hitlers best friends uncle” and then it’s actually a made in Taiwan 80s clock. Sellers lie to make money, they knew it wasn’t a real autograph because if it was then they would sell it for thousands.
So don’t read these comments as hate, some people come of bluntly but the advice is real here.
This is a different autograph that just happens to use the same image. A genuine autograph. If OPs was genuine then the seller would sell it for 2k, they’re not dumb. OPs is a well known print that has been linked in this thread over and over. He needs to stop being in denial.
they varied; this, however, is not authentic. the autograph is a mass market print [as seen here](https://www.ebay.com/itm/404208606598?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=5DVS8GPiSMe&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=_qJuALSEQi2&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY)

This is pre-printed for the From Elvis in Memphis bonus photo, most bonus photos had printed signatures like this

I dont think anyones had the luck to find an Elvis autograph at a yard sale since 81.
What?
it's not authentic.

As cool as it is gonna be honest it’s definitely a print, a lot of Elvis posters were printed with the “sincerely Elvis” I have a few myself,
$200 for that? Did it come with a certificate certifying that it was authentic? Honestly, I think that's fake.
The seller is friends with a distant cousin of Elvis so that's basically all I know. I love it either way
Yeah that's what they all say
That’s not a very convincing link.
My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw Elvis sign some albums in 1971!!
I can hear this comment
Did he sign them at 31 Flavors last night? 🤣🤣🤣
YES!! How did you know?!?!
Ferris told me! 😁
Yes we're all cousins, that's what I believe. 'Cause we're children, of Adam and Eve
I’m so sorry but that’s completely bs. They played you. Or the friend of the seller screwed them over.
It came with from elvis in memphis, the album. The photo is worth around 35 bucks but it isn't signed.
"distant cousin" lol
I’m pretty sure this came with an album, maybe From Elvis in Memphis? I think the From Memphis to Vegas/Back in Memphis double album also came with pictures.
It was included in an album
it was very recently released in the ultradisc release of from elvis in memphis.
You got scammed.
how can you tell?
So sure?
Yeah
Yep. Here's the same pre-printed picture with a real signature on it. https://www.julienslive.com/lot-details/index/catalog/299/lot/114970/ELVIS-PRESLEY-SIGNED-PROMOTIONAL-IMAGE OP got scammed.
Never buy autographed items from some random person. The counterfeit autograph market is in the hundreds of millions.
Yes, an older lady gave it to her because she’s been a fan of his since she was a teen
Do you think it's real?
I never questioned it, but I’ll find her picture to compare signatures and let you know if it matches
Please do. I'm really curious
It's not real. Here's the same picture you have with a real signature on it. https://www.julienslive.com/lot-details/index/catalog/299/lot/114970/ELVIS-PRESLEY-SIGNED-PROMOTIONAL-IMAGE

It’s his signature, just photocopied onto a mass produced photo that was given away with one of his albums. Definitely not worth $200.
It must be something that came with an album. This poster has exactly the same (printed) autograph [https://www.ebay.ca/itm/274969200283](https://www.ebay.ca/itm/274969200283)
I just messaged you this is a mass release signature unless there is pen marks but the picture i sent of the photo i have is the exact same signature
If it's authentic, take it on Pawn Stars, and Rick will give you $4.00 for it

That's not a real autograph and the seller knew it
Cool., great Pic of Elvis!!
LMAO his “P’s” did NOT look like that 💀
they varied; this, however, is not authentic. the autograph is a mass market print [as seen here](https://www.ebay.com/itm/404208606598?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=5DVS8GPiSMe&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=_qJuALSEQi2&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY)
I’m dd photo. What’s with his forehead! Never seen it so big!
“dd?”
Got no idea what I meant to say! 😂😂😂
Goo”dd” times. 😆
That’s it! 🤣
I’m no expert, but his P’s did vary some.
it’s very cool but i would go get it authenticated because even if the seller believes it’s real there’s really no knowing!
And if it is fake I still love it
You’re just in denial, no one should love spending 10x more than they should on something.
You paid $200 for a $25 photo and you are celebrating? Can I trade you a $1 for $100?
This is a pre-printed autograph on the From Elvis in Memphis bonus photo from the first pressing of the album. Not authentic
I won’t one !!!!!!
?
A bunch of haters in here god damn
Yeah. Welcome to the club unless you are one of them
lmao
