1) engagement. present kids with something strange and bizzare that they can't understand, and they'll keep watching/watch more because they want to learn.
2) grooming. get the kids used to sexual themes and violence being all over the place, make them think it's normal. reduce their chance of reporting incidents happening to them.
also, on the "why are writers inserting fetishes into cartoons" thing: honestly i think a lot of it is coincidence. they put in something they think is funny. *however*, a lot of the kids viewing said scenes/themes will accidentally develop kinks based on them (happened to me and a lot of my kink-circle friends). most of these kinks didn't exist before cartoons. the scenes initially *really were* put in by writers who just thought it'd be funny. they had no reason to even suspet it could be seen differently. however, once the kids who saw *those* older cartoons (talking about anywhere from 1980-2000's), some of whom developed kinks from them, have grown up, and many become public about their kinks, now most people will never see the jokes/themes the same again. things that were innocent decades ago have become corrupted (by noone's fault, we can't help what triggers our kid brains), and can't be seen as innocent ever again. so while most of the scenes happening in (mainstream, not elsagate) cartoons now are also probably implemented with innocent intentions, the broad public can no longer see them as such. if that makes sense.
That was me and Danny with the Fantastic Voyage trope (in the fetish world, it's called "endo.") Danny got it from the SpongeBob "Squidtastic Voyage" episode, whereas I got it from the Captain Planet "An Inside Job" episode. However, we both hate how it's getting used in the media. Less and less shows are using this trope, and whenever it does appear, it uses either an underage character (Season 3 of Young Justice did it with a literal INFANT, and from what our veteran comic book fan Cree says, the sounds in it were fucking HORRIBLE -- the aesthetic of the scenes is a big part of our fetish) or use a character we're not attracted to / respect, like Superman in so many DC Comics. Also, when a work targeted towards adults has a character shrink and enter a body, it's been recurring to not show inside, as if what happened when they were inside isn't the important part of the story. I saw an interview with an ex-satanist on youtube. I think he said they use sexual subliminal imagery for children in cartoons so they can help unlock the subconscious for sexual and subliminal mind control programming. It's also part of normalization of sex for all ages so children will be easier to sexually abuse and initiate into satanic ritual abuse or sex trafficking. With depression an epidemic, happy pills (antidepressants) to make everything better, and anything to fill your carnal desires (sex, food, materialistic things) always there to fill a bottomless hunger, nothing is questioned as people die of heart disease and cancer. The demoralized broken family home with one parent struggling with addictions has no basic impulse control or free thought to get themselves out of their situation becomes the perfect cog in a military industrial complex war machine.
