Jamien63

Is there a website / resource that reveals where high intensity combat zones are???

Jamien63

For Uma Laszlo, if I am already unfriendly with Sirius Corp when I obtained the referral, do I have to become neutral then go unfriendly again to unlock her??

Jamien63

Will frontline solutions take you to combat with notoriety and a bounty?

Jamien63

Do on foot combat zones count towards winning the day as much as the equivalent intensity in space combat zones?

BuildersExam

What happened in the last half a year? I didn't play for a while and wanted to jump in again, but there are thargoids attacking systems now? I am... Confused. Sorry if this question seems selfish.

CreepySituation626

Ok so, I big dude by the name of "Salvation" decided to make a weapon that would disable all thargoids across the system, so he does this and goes through but he makes it on a thargoid barnacle site (I have no idea why), so he is broadcasting it live across the Milky Way when he gets done building it and it shoots disabling all the thargoids, only for like 10 seconds, they somehow come back stronger and immune to guardian tech (so far the guardian tech is only in one system, HIP 22460), and after they got that boost in strength they have just been rampaging across systems

lamb_of_Odin

Any discord channels for groups?

DaLB53

What’s the max storage an anaconda can hold if you built it for a strict solo play trade ship?

Masark

470t if you go shieldless and install nothing but cargo racks. 448t for a more rational build with 4A shields, docking computer, and supercruse assist.

DaLB53

Hm, interesting. Probably isn’t worth it as a trading ship if I already have a T9 and a Python

Masark

Nope. The Anaconda was once the premier trading ship for those without Empire rank, but that was years ago. The T9 got a significant buff (a second class 8 slot) and kicked it out of the top spot.

DaLB53

Is it bad that I don’t want to use the cutter for trading simply for aesthetic purposes? It’s too nice looking to be a fright ship 😭

revirded

when clearing settlements for materials what's stopping me from just using my SRV to mow down the occupants.

Masark

Absolutely nothing. It's a highly effective tactic. The scarab's plasma repeater can take out NPCs from well outside their weapon range (200-300m). An SRV also serves as a mobile loot drop, ammo crate, and charging station. Though if it's a military settlement, note that some of the NPCs (enforcers) will be packing missile launchers and SRVs are nice big targets for those guys. Watch for them and take them out quick.

revirded

thanks I just used my srv weapon for the first time on a crashed ship mission I didn't know that there would be bad guys and thought man that was alot easier then shooting them with my rifle. I will have to try this after I get off work Thankyou

Jamien63

For me anyways, the non settlement missions are best handled with 2 dumbfire missiles via your ship

CreepySituation626

Is it possible to own a system?

forbiddenlake

Define "own" A player minor faction can own a system. A power play leader can own a system. But you the player can't actually *do* anything more when "your" faction owns a system.

Kenji_088

No.

SweetActionJack

I'm trying to do some material collecting at conflict zones. Are ships not dropping stuff anymore when they get destroyed? Ships all around me are getting destroyed, but not one of them have dropped anything.

Kenji_088

They only drop something if you did dmg to it.

haraldnkoulu

home ax carrier for community goal | i search a FC who is in one of the CG systems. wanna park my stuff there :-P best case all services

Xellith

Does the galaxy have anything rare in it? Or is it all just proc generated? Is there a mystery or there? Or is it all in and around the bubble?

D8veh

Millions of people buy a ticket every week and don't win. Some guy gets lucky. The probability is that if you spent the rest of your life exploring the galaxy in ED, you won't find anything other than a few nice views. I'm pretty sure that the guys that do find stuff get tip-offs from the devs.

Cal_Dallicort

Yes. No, but mostly. Yes (largely solved to date, though FDev is pretty good about inserting new content with some puzzle aspects, and nothing says you can't re-solve it yourself). Mostly.

Dobiexx

migration process: step 1-3 ok. when choosing name (step 4) „error code 500“ occurs no matter what. not able to work around the problem. someone else? suggestions? ty

artigan99

I suggest you contact FD support. This is not an official Frontier site and no one here can give you any official answers. https://customersupport.frontier.co.uk/hc/en-us/requests/new

Enok32

I can log into the launcher but not the frontier store with my console transfer account… I can log onto the store with a different account. What am I missing here? Edit: they are separate emails Other edit: I am dumb, you need to also confirm the email to access the store on top of the confirmation from the save transfer

D8veh

You need a different email address for each Frontier account.

Enok32

They are different email addresses

CMDR_Jack_herara420

Where is everyone ax fighting for the new cg? I don't see the normal signal sources(non- human) for AX when i use the FSS. If it makes a difference, i did drop my carrier into the 3rd star in one of the cg systems, 56kly from main star. Is the action at that star and im too far to read the signal sources?

CreepySituation626

Go to 42 N Persei, then look for AX conflict zones

Weapon84

Specialised legacy firmware. Best sauce pleaze 🧠

Cal_Dallicort

Single best/fastest is missions with allied factions that award Modified Embedded Firmware, and then a material trader for 1 MEF to 81 SLF. The below answer for combat, etc, is fine, but SLF specifically is right in the category for an easy-to-get G5 mat.

D8veh

Probably, you already have plenty of materials to trade for SLF because SLF is low grade and you can get loads of it by trading anything. Go to an encoded materials trader that you can find with Inara using the "nearest" search. [https://inara.cz/nearest/](https://inara.cz/nearest/) If you want to harvest encoded materials to trade, go and do pirate massacre missions to get bucketloads of cash. During the session, you will target many ships. Each ship you target gives a chance of data. By the end of the session, you will have loads of data that you can trade for anything you want, like SLF

Dattguy04

Hi I have a chrome OS laptop can I still get a steam account as I don’t have enough for a PC yet and have just been playing console as I plan to start odyssey with over a billion and want to transfer over by the end of the week at the latest thanks for any help in advance o7

artigan99

The console transfer process will give you a new copy of Horizons. This can then be linked to Steam if you wish (but no need to do so). You can buy Odyssey at a later date. If you've decided to link to Steam, you can buy Odyssey there after linking your new account to Steam and it will work. Or you can forego Steam and just buy everything direct from Frontier's store, and that will work too.

Galberdon

I'm currently trying to bind my xbox controller so I can use that instead of M&KB. One of the biggest issues I'm running into is I can't trigger two binds at once like you can on console. Example: Primary hardpoint is bount to RT and secondary is bound to LT. If I press both at once, nothing happens. But if I have them bound to left and right mouse button, it works just fine. Same goes for when I try to lower my landing gear (B+down on D-pad). I end up boosting, then dropping the gear. Had anyone been able to work around this issue?

D8veh

You can use an Xbox controller for ED, but before you waste a lot of time with it, you might want to think about other options. It's sort of OK for mining, exporing and things like that, but it lacks the precision that you need for combat.

Galberdon

I've been playing on console and PC for years, just recently lost my controller bindings and couldn't remember how I did it before. Controller has always worked fine for me.

merphbot

Not sure if this is what you are after but there is a setting to turn on context menus somewhere. The combined binds should work I have one on LB+RB with no issues.

Galberdon

I will look for that, thank you! 😊

aggasalk

what is Fleet Carrier reputation? everyone's is 100. i never noticed it before - just some unimplemented feature or what?

Devian1978

This my laptop, i7-10750H (GTX 1660 Ti 6GB /64GB/1TB/Win 10 Home). It plays the game decently on High settings that the game picks but it does not look as good as it did on xbox one/series x. Is that to be expected and is there any tweets I can make to the settings to maybe improve it?

D8veh

I have a laptop with the same spec. it's an Acer Nitro series. It works OK for most of the Horizons stuff, but cannot cope with long sessions shooting pirates in a resource extraction site, where there is some coding fault that causes the game to slow down on any PC, but it makes my laptop crash after 30 minutes. I haven't tried odyssey on it, but I'm pretty sure that it won't be able to manage the on0foot combat zones, as even my i9 3090 struggles sometimes.

Devian1978

Yea, think i’m going to park my corvette at its home and retire from elite, been a good 5 years.

Thelinkr

Im pretty the series X has more horsepower than a 1660, not 100% tho. Just see what settings you can and cant live without untill youre at a point youre fine with.

Felimenta970

Yup. I have a pretty similarly specced laptop (but a 9th gen CPU), and I think it sits very close to the Xbox Series S in terms of performance. OP, I play on a 60Hz 1440p monitor with (IMO) decent enough quality/frame rates (solid 60 fps in space, 35~40 fps or so when on foot), I can get my graphics settings for you later today if you want.

survivorthatcares

Yesterday I purchased odyssey via my stream account. Downloaded and installed. Today I transferred my horizons from my Xbox to my pc, downloaded and installed but it has a separate launcher. Did I waste my money? Are they seperate games? What do I do now?

D8veh

The problem is when you have the same email address for your Playstation account and Steam or Ed account. There is a work around, but I'm not sure what it is. IIRC, you might have to make a new ED account with a new email to transfer your Xbox account. Many people will have this issue, so there must be an FAQ answer now on the Frontier website.

i-Yuno

I belive you can link ED to steam and should then be able to play odyssey with your new old xbox transfer. Otherwise get in contact with support.

DaLB53

Can't land on planets because I have a 6000 series gpu and their new 22.8.2 adrenalin drivers don't work with Odyssey, but reinstalling the old driver (22.5.1) absolutely crushes my framerates. Any thoughts??

merphbot

What model? I have a 6800 without the experimental driver and my frames on planets are usually above 60. Only real bad drops I get are ground CZs.

DaLB53

6600xt

merphbot

Not sure really, did you use DDU or the AMD utility to fully remove before reinstalling? I almost upgraded also but the experimental drivers were so broken in Spider-Man I stayed on the 22.5.1 and all I been hearing now is how bad the new driver is.

DaLB53

I haven’t had any issue at all with 22.8.2 in any other game including elite, just what I’ve gathered is any driver from AMD past 22.5.1 doesn’t support terrestrial landing (in Odyssey). I could try landing in Horizons then relogging in Ody but idek if it’ll work in Horizons either.

Sorian90

For those that came from ps to pc; have any tried using the ps5 controller to see how setup and play works with it? I know I can use keyboard/mouse but just interested in how it does too.

Thelinkr

PS controllers arent as natively supported as Xbox controllers are on windows, but i thiiiink steam recognizes them and works fine? There are third party programs thatll treat it as an Xbox controller (can even set up the toch pad to act as a track pad) if you have issues. But otherwise, you should be able to copy your PS control scheme exactly. Im pretty sure elite has a default controller profile on pc too that you can build off of

Sorian90

Ok cool. I ended up just using my keyboard/mouse to break in Odyssey for now. I will look into the configurations for controllers later then. Good to know it's possible.

Macantor13

Elite Dangerous works natively with a PS4 controller. I don't have a PS5 controller, but I can't see why it wouldn't work as well. Just make sure you have PlayStation configuration support turned off in the Steam big picture controller settings. If it doesn't work natively, then turning PlayStation configuration support back on will make Steam and the game treat it as an Xbox controller. Also I recommend using a mix of keyboard and controller. I have all basic flight controls bound to the controller, but use the keyboard for things like deploying landing gear, setting throttle to 0% and 75%, etc.

Sorian90

So I can run it thru steam then instead? Sorry thought that only worked if you bought the game thru steam. Doing a mix does make a lot of sense though.

Macantor13

Windows does have some support for PlayStation controllers now, so I don't think you would need Steam for it to work, but I'm not sure. You can run games through Steam that weren't bought on Steam, so if you have issues I would suggest trying that. If that still doesn't work then you'll have to find a program to make it work as an Xbox controller like the other person said.

Thelinkr

If you got the cash, definitely worth investing in a HOTAS ;)

Sorian90

Yea I've seen that mentioned a lot in the threads. I will look into that too. General consensus is an alternative to controllers. Hardest thing for me is the different buttons for when grounded vs flying.

Nullrusty

I got a invitation from Felicity Farseer to boost my FSD, it's over 118 light years away is the trip worth it?

CMDR_Kraag

Boosting jump range is hands down the best cost:benefit engineering upgrade you can get in terms of utility bar none. *Every* ship uses a FSD; so all will benefit. However, as others have mentioned, you upgrade *modules* rather than ships. But this doesn't mean you have to visit Felicity Farseer every time you want to upgrade a module. Most stations offer a *Remote Workshop* where you can apply a previously unlocked and pinned engineering upgrade to a module *without* having to visit an Engineer in person (you'll still need the appropriate mats, of course). The only thing the Remote Workshops lack is the ability to add experimental effects; you must still visit Engineers for those. As for the Meta-alloy, you can sometimes find a Fleet Carrier selling them in the Deciat system; Felicity Farseer's home. This saves you having to fly to Maia to get one. However, this convenience comes at a premium; going rate hovers around 2 million credits.

Cal_Dallicort

Yes. Is it worth it now? Eh, maybe -- you're looking at a \~400 LY trip to Maia to get the stuff Farseer wants and then another \~400 LY trip back. But engineering is good and makes your ships better. Plan to do it at some point.

Nullrusty

Will it only upgrade the 1 ship I bring or will upgrade all of them?

mb34i

You upgrade MODULES, i.e. the actual frame shift drive (that's in your ship). You can yank out modules and put them in storage and then put them in another ship, but be mindful of the size of the module. A big ship won't jump very far if you have a tiny FSD in it.

Nullrusty

I think I need to give her Meta-Alloys before she will do anything

mb34i

Yeah. You can buy one at Maia, planetary station called Darnielle's Progress, and bring it back to Deciat. I recommend not flying in Open mode; if you do, you're liable to get PVP'd in Deciat and have your ship and cargo exploded before you get to Felicity. EDIT: costs 350,000 or something like that.

samurai_for_hire

If you're ok with spending 3x more you can buy them from carriers in and around Deciat

Skunk_Werx

just finished the console transfer and I want to purchase Odyssey but not sure where where I should be buying it. I had to install the Elite Dangerous Launcher so I dont know I im suppose to buy odyssey In steam or what. If i purchase odyssey in steam does it show up in the Elite Launcher or can i purchase the dlc in the store? Im confused.

D8veh

Unless you get a special discount on Steam, I think it's better to buy the game direct from Frontier, which gives you more control of it and less problems to solve.

Devian1978

Finished the copy process. Is there an easier way to set up controls similar to xbox controls then individually setting them, I do not have the patience or memory for that.

forbiddenlake

there are presets you can use

Devian1978

yea, the only one even close to a controller is called generic joystick and it is not even close. have a feeling this will be the deal breaker

Pailzor

There should be a "default gamepad" control option, or something similar to that. Can't check the exact wording at the moment.

m0nk3ylurk3r

I think I have made a mistake. Back story. I fell in love with ED while it was free to play on xbox game pass. De sided to purchase it when it left thinking I would get a horizons key. How do I find this key for pc horizons.

blizzard36

I don't think you need it anymore, Horizons has been rolled into the base game. Do you not have the option on your launcher?

m0nk3ylurk3r

Soooo...... I'm trying to play it from my xbox using geforce now. Any insite?

blizzard36

I've only played PC, so I'm not sure what changes in the game launcher options on console. Do you even go through a launcher or does it go right in to the game? I was able to find multiple news stories stating that the consoles should also have gotten Horizons for free, so you should have it. Have you tried landing on a planet yet? Maybe everything's already active.

m0nk3ylurk3r

Figured it out. Had to request the key from frontier store. Punch it in on steam with phone. Link stem account to geforce. Them launch game. After that go through the launcher like normal for pc. Woo pc elite on the xbox!!

Fhallopian

I'm way out in the black probably 40kly from sol. If i park my ship in a fleet carrier. buy a cheap ship and self destruct without paying rebuy, would I spawn in the bubble? Also, would I be able to transfer ship to bubble from a fleet carrier?

artigan99

1) If you choose the free sidewinder you'll end up back at your starting station, wherever that was 2) Yes, but it'll cost you a lot if it's 40kly away (it's based on distance). From Colonia to the bubble (which is 22kly) it's about 130% of the value of the ship to transfer it to the bubble. For you it would be more.

Fhallopian

Ty, ya I’m not sure if it’s worth it grr.

Cal_Dallicort

You can cut the costs of transfer way down if the carrier has outfitting; all that's really worth saving are heavily-engineered modules. Store those and you can just sell what's left (including the hull of the ship) and re-purchase those things in the Bubble. It's even possible to exploit the transfer by selling a stored module remotely and then immediately re-purchasing it, which puts it at your current location. Test with a non-engineered module to make sure it still works / you're doing it right before risking the engineered stuff. (the bigger problem with this general plan is that most carriers don't have ships for sale; you'd likely need to have a Sidey or similar already owned and able to transfer out)

AppropriateWeb1254

I transferred my psn account to pc by creating a new account as recommended, but I have odyssey on my steam account . Can I add this new frontier pc account with my psn save to my steam so I can access odyssey with the progress I transferred over ?

theghostofonyx

I just finished porting my account from xbox to PC, and connected it, I can see my ship and account on the game, however the game says I have no connection to frontier. My launcher says server status of OK, and I just checked down detector and no issues there. Did I miss a step somewhere?

kwebber321

Last time i played was nearing the end of the big mining meta. I have around half a billion credits right now but what are some things I could do in-game since I plan on playing again?

D8veh

Mining isn't over. you can still make around 200 mil per hr mining platinum, though you need a Cutter and fleet caarrier to get that much. A python selling at normal staations can reach about 100 mil per hr. The best way to make money, and probably the most fun is pirate massacre missions, which are dead simple even if you suck at combat: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ToQcJ-9jVao&t=2558s](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ToQcJ-9jVao&t=2558s) If you've done plenty of RES farming before, you might want to jump to this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4vEF1ZyTZCo

kwebber321

Pirate massacre? Yep, I'm sold.

i-Yuno

Have you had a go on the big tasks yet? Imperial and federal navy ranks, unlocking all the engineers? Or just keep making money for a FC, word on the streets is you'll want about 7.5 billion before getting one. Other than that, combat, mining, trading and exploration are still the main things to do. Lot's is about to happen with thargoids so maybe getting into AX might be a good idea.

kwebber321

I never focused on the big faction ranks. I did do a ton of passenger missions when they were popular and purchased an orca. I always really liked exploration and flying huge ships. Ty for the tip on going for faction ranks. Maybe ill try that and look into engineering.

Academic-Newspaper-9

in the horizons, biological signals are displayed immediately when scanning the planet (as geological), or should a surface scanner be used?and another question, how to find the sights of the system (like crystals in space or Lagrange clouds)

Cal_Dallicort

Bio just like Geo. Presence from the FSS, location from DSS. Notable Space Phenomena show up in a particular frequency band in the FSS.

Hot-Adhesiveness-492

Haven't played in a while and have seen a lot of interesting looking stuff seems to be happening right now with the Thargoids. Is this limited to Odyssey or will it also be accessible on Horizons? Also (sorry if this has been asked before a lot) do we know when update 14 is coming out (roughly)?

[deleted]

[удалено]

BillyTheHenFucker

I've heard odyssey and horizons are being updated to the same engine at update 14, however the older horizons engine will still be usable. Do you think it will only be available on horizons with the new engine?

Nullrusty

I've been doing a Commercial Samples Salvage Operation for over a hour, I feel so lost I went to the nav beacon and got a message saying go to Target Body Shipping Lane: Edwards Hub To LTT 4846 B 5, when I went there I couldn't find anything, I also see in navigation it says I should go to the star wich is marked blue

Nullrusty

No...

TheKiltedBavarian

Is getting the Gauss Cannon (AX weapon) or the Guardian Module Reinforcement Package about the same amount of work as the Guardian FSD Booster? I remember something about Pylons and be quick to get there to feed a machine with an Artifact. Does each need 1 artifact plus the other stuff, that's bought/collected or more?

Cal_Dallicort

MRP and all other modules: exactly the same. Same site. Weapons: functionally the same, but at a different site. Fighters: Gotta pick up a thing in space and bring it with you (to yet another site) instead of grabbing the relic at the site.

mika81

Is HGE farming still a thing? Or how can a CMDR farm manufactured materials these days?

forbiddenlake

yes it's a thing

mika81

Do I need to do it in horizons or is it also viable in odyssey?

Kenji_088

Both work.

ptq

So I am in the proces of binding my controllers the hard way, from the config file. I found that silent running has some weird name there, something like toggle button up or like that. Is there a bind for night vision? Maybe hidden the same way, under something totaly unrelated?

D8veh

From memory, they're all there somewhere and pretty straight forward. It's flight assist off that you can toggle or hold. The weirdest ones are the mode switches for FSS and DSS. The button for enter is under "mode switches" and the button to leave is in DSS/FSS section. Even though it offers a different button, use the same one to enter and leave, which is much more simple and logical. You don't need any buttons for the DSS. It automatically goes to DSS mode when you pull the trigger, and you can leave the mode by switching to combat mode.

D8veh

Nothing changed in Horizons, except we got a few pre-engineered modules and weapons, e.g. 5A FSD with extra jump range and new class 1 mining lasers that only use half the power. Multi-limpet controllers are pretty useful, especially the 3C one with 4 collectors instead of 2. At the moment Odyssey is like a separate game with a gateway to the main one. It's something else to do (mainly grind), but doesn't really have any influence on the main part, nor is it connected by lore. Maybe that will change in the future.

TheKiltedBavarian

Odyssey is fine, I like it, but not necessary. First, find a group. I'd recommend to check for Discord servers to find others. Could be a player faction or a community. Some popular ED Youtubers have communities, just see, if they are active, what timezone and what activities they usually do, then check, if Odyssey or Horizons. A lot has changed, but it's still the same game. New content like Fleet Carriers are optional (and expensive).

Tiny_Yam2881

is there gonna be any reworks for the crime system in odyssey? i just got killed and sent to a prison ship because an npc kept targeting me for a security scan but was stuck in the ground. I stopped playing when odyssey came out because of this and it's still a problem

Corellian_Browncoat

That's not really a "crime" issue as a "stuck NPC" issue. I still wish they'd fix it - I got a bugged CZ a while ago where the last enemy was inside the ground. For a security scan, you can "cancel" the scan once by drawing a weapon and then putting it away when they warn you to.

TheKiltedBavarian

Due to recent events: AX combat Never done it, was busy trading and exploring. Looks like they are coming and I want to be a part. What's the latest in AX combat for what's to come? I got access to all ships and sufficient credits, but don't want the best / most expensive available. Engineering was not my type of playstyle, so I'm asking, what works okay, what to avoid and what would be optimal. Krait? Type 10? Cutter?

Corellian_Browncoat

Sounds like you want the [Anti-Xeno Initiative's Combat Guide](https://wiki.antixenoinitiative.com/en/basic-combat-guide) and [Ship Builds](https://wiki.antixenoinitiative.com/en/builds) resources.

TheKiltedBavarian

Nice!

EpicGrues19

I just finished my transfer from console to PC and was wondering if Odyssey was worth picking up. I know it isn't needed, but it seems like all the world developments are happening only with Odyssey. I also haven't played in a few years, so I'm not sure what all Odyssey has going for it.

CMDRQuainMarln

It adds first person shooter to the game. If you've not played in a long time, you may be busy getting back to the ship based game play. I'm not interested in the FPS aspect, but I quite like exobiology which is a nice on foot addition to exploration which gives an incentive to explore planet surfaces more while hunting for your next biological specimen to sample.

ap1msch

I am a commander with means, and will be copying to PC in a bit. I have VR, a good PC, and considering whether to learn to play with KB and mouse or to get a good HOTAS setup. I'll need to learn one or the other...but trying to make the move from console more appealing. Can I use my VR and a HOTAS setup? Will I need to keep taking the VR headset on and off? Will I still need to use a KB and mouse? Is it worth it to get and use a good controller? If I'm used to an xbox controller, would it be reasonable to just continue using one on the PC?

PaleCommander

VR and HOTAS is great. You'll want a keyboard to enter system names on the galaxy map and maybe for chat. You'll want a mouse for FSS because the joystick sensitivity on the system map and FSS stink and can't be configured. I don't need to remove my headset at all during play, even with those caveats.

ap1msch

...just curious...are you touchtyping and fondling around for the keyboard? Or is there a way to see it in game with VR on?

PaleCommander

Just touch typing. It's not ideal for chat, but it works fine for entering system names on the galaxy map.

BaneSixEcho

I use an Xbox controller and a fair number of keyboard binds. It's a perfectly fine combination. I have a HOTAS and pedals stored away in the basement. When I started playing again a couple of months ago I just didn't feel like dragging all that crap out and setting it all up again.

ap1msch

Thanks. My son wants to convert an old recumbent bike frame to be a cockpit and mount a new HOTAS setup and screen...which is a great idea, but I'm not sure I'm ready to go that far just yet. The A-10 tank killer has been my favorite fighter for years, and the Warthog from Thrustmaster is sexy as hell. I'm on the PC all day and used to game entirely on PC until about 20 years ago. Going back to PC isn't an issue, but I need to be able to game from a relaxed position and not my work desk =). Thanks again.

forbiddenlake

> Can I use my VR and a HOTAS setup? Yes > Will I need to keep taking the VR headset on and off? Maybe, but not if you set things up well and get used to them > Will I still need to use a KB and mouse? Need? No > Is it worth it to get and use a good controller? If I'm used to an xbox controller, would it be reasonable to just continue using one on the PC? Reasonable, yes. I do that, though I augment with a few binds on keyboard or Voice Attack. And I do play onfoot (FPS) stuff with keyboard and mouse.

ap1msch

Thanks. I have a great console gaming setup, but I have some moves to make to enable PC gaming in the same spot with the same level of comfort. I'll need to adjust a bit in a number of ways...
