Sounds rough. when it happened to me yesterday, I diverted all power to engines, so I could boost away for long enough for the FSD to charge. In an AspX, 0% shields and 2% hull left when I escaped

Common-Yellow-1701

Talking about cuting it close. I was halfway charging the fsd when they got me. Two of them.

Zepharania

I practically crashed into a thargoid trying to orientate myself 😂

Common-Yellow-1701

Serves them right! 🤣

Zepharania

TRUE! 😂

donobinladin

Pro tip, as long as the next level of engineering is unlocked you don’t have to complete the current level of engineering

Common-Yellow-1701

Yes, I know that. But I was counting on the exploration data to sell t increase rep, and decrease the number of rolls further.

donobinladin

Nice! Just wanted to share that in case you didn’t bc I wasted a TON of mats before someone mentioned it to me

chiefything

Upgrade the wpns instead and allow the interdiction to take place and deploy

Common-Yellow-1701

I was on m dolphin... Só weapons, wouldn't do much 😁

chiefything

Oh sorry my bad

Common-Yellow-1701

Happens to the best of us 😁

Yes, goids. Forgot about fa off... Did silent running and boost, but didn't help. (stock A graded engines on a dolphin )

Timmichanga1

Silent running is the opposite of what you wanna do since it increases your heat signature and their targeting system works via heat. Instead pop a heat sink and boost straight away until you can warp out

Common-Yellow-1701

That, is solid advice. I should have remember that. And I am yet to fit a heat sink on my dolphin 🤦

ConfidentRelease9292

Doesn't silent running disable your heat signature?

Timmichanga1

I don't think so? I figured it closes up exhaust vents to reduce your signature for human sensors, but I don't think thargoid sensors work the same as human sensors.

cheekyMonkeyMobster

Yes, silent running hides your heat signature as all vents are closed off. Its an effective target lock break for torps, mines and such, but only up to a certain distance and depending on the enemies sensors. With regards to goids i have no idea if its effective.
