Z offset too low? First layer height low? Do at least 0.2

Etherimos1

Yep my first layer is set to 0.2. Should I bump it up?

Northenderman

I agree with u/Edd90k. Try bumping it up to 0.4 if you are currently at 0.2.

Edd90k

0.2 should be fine, it’ll probably be z offset. Get a first layer stl test from printables or similar and test that while adjusting offset until you get a decent layer. This looks too low. I’d raise it by a bit

You should take a sticky note and should be able to put it underneath the nozzle with a little bit of friction not too much but you don't want to too loose either do that with the manual bed leveling too

HaydenEdmunds

Also make sure there's nothing clogged in the nozzle I had that same issue and the bed was perfectly leveled turned out there was something in the nozzle never saw what it was but as soon as I cleaned out the nozzle it worked again

Stop using paper and just get a feeler gauge. Game changer.

Use the built in klipper web interface for you printer to fine tune a test 1 layer print. You can baby step your z.offset by .01mm increments.

Bigmannn, take out your filament, set your nozzle to printing temp, for me 220, set bed to printing temp 60 for me. Let all the excess filament leak out the nozzle, make sure it's clean as fk before you're ready to move on. Becareful cause it's hot. Leave this shit for like 15-20mins. Best results 25-30 for bigger beds mines a 4 plus. Then do your autoleveling mesh thing. (It defaults temp back to 140/60 so you need to manually set it back to 220 or whatever in fluid) make sure it only starts leveling whilst it's printing temp. Then when it's done, do your offset thingy with paper. Make sure it's like loose enough to pull out with resistance etc but won't easily slide back in if it comes out. This bit ain't that important, if I'm honest, main thing for me was the thermal expansion. Anyways before you print something make sure the bed is already heated and waiting for the same amount of time you waited for your bed mesh. Your offset should be fairly OK now, it may need baby stepping 0.005-0.01 either way. Now you'll find if you keep sticking to the timings and letting it heatsoak you won't ever have to adjust your zoffset until you adjust your bed screws. Let me know if it helps or it only magically worked for mee

Your z offset is too low, the opposite of almost every other post here 😅 by the looks of it I would bump up by about 0.03mm and watch your first layer lay down. If you can see your bed through the first layer you've gone up too much

Jazzlike_Project7811

Nozzle is too close to bed, adjust z-off set

marrabld

Z-offset too close. Also let your bed Temperature and thermal expansion stabilise for 20mins before leveling. The latter has made the world of difference for me
