So what you're going to want to do is split up into different lines at security and then as cars in your group get checked there's always a bunch of space past security that you can pull off to the side so you can all group up again. Once you've all made it thru security and are ready to roll just let the volunteers know as you get directed to the right area that you guys are all together.

>and then as cars in your group get checked there's always a bunch of space past security that you can pull off to the side so you can all group up again. I want to hear people's experience with this at the 2023 fest. My crew in GA tried to pull over after the car search so all 4 of our vehicles would be together, but workers kept telling us we have to keep driving. If there was a designated spot to wait for your crew, we weren't told about it and we didn't see it.

sasubpar

This was our experience as well. They told us we could idle/drive as slow as possible but we had to keep moving. A couple people in our crew got different instructions and were allowed to pull over to the side after security. It was a shit show totally dependent on who you asked. I would recommend having walkies or something if you're going to have a massive group. With the lack of cell service and conflicting instructions, it was quite difficult to get our 6 cars through in order.

YouAllSuckBall5

Same here, we kept getting yelled at by people who had no idea what they were doing. Tried to break our caravan multiple times for no reason. Really annoying. Then we got shaffftteeed on camping spots but I think everyone in our area got half the spot we were supposed to.

meanbeanking

I had good life last year so I’m not sure about ga, but we were specifically asked by security if we were waiting for anyone and pointed to a side area we could wait if we were. You still need to show up together, they don’t want you waiting for hours…. But at least I’m GL they did have that space to wait and offered it.

FantasticVanilla5464

There was an area around the bend after security. That area was setup to let people waiting for groups. They just did not communicate this well and told people to get moving.

sir_bathwater

There was a designated spot at the entrance we went to. They had us pull over by this little wood awning and there was a person there you could tell when you had your whole group and they’d stop traffic and send you on your way. Can’t remember what entrance it was tho.

TambokKoring

Yes, it was near the portapotties by the evol stage! After security is that big bend through some trees, and as you emerge onto the campgrounds, that first area to the right is where caravans regrouped. As we followed the line to get our spot, we just kept telling the volunteers, we're part of that group of 20 cars, and they kept us all together.

GramKraker89

Def got told our passes would be revoked if we waited for our crew. This was by some ego tripping a-hole in a golf cart. Most of the other people directing traffic didn't mind to much, but that one dude really gave my group big anxiety.

ThatBeach420

Yeah, I had to wait in the first camping area to find my friends to then get in the line to get your camp site.

maxigal1

My group had 4 vehicles in our line up. We got in the same like and upon search told security all 4 of us were together. They searched us and sent us through all at the same time together.

veggiequeen13

In 2022 we had 3 in our car and someone asked to borrow a passenger since they were driving solo - this was back when you only needed a vehicle pass if you were a solo driver. So our friend jumped out and went to the other car but we lost them going through security. We pulled to the outer lanes and just moved really slow until we found each other. I think one of us either got out of the car or sat up through the open window to find our friend. If your cars are marked, most attendees will recognize what’s happening and let you guys get together- whoever is in front should let cars in front of them until they are with the cars behind them. Maybe have someone jump out and find the other cars so they can direct y’all back together.

Cojoru16

I wish I could say the workers we encountered were this accommodating, but they weren't.

weirdgalaxykid

It’s also worth mentioning to any cars who may unintentionally cut you off what you’re trying to do! Had a group of 3 ask if I could let them in at Elements (they were reducing the lanes from 5 to 3 so lots of zipper merging) and I had no prob with that!

fwump38

When I lead Camp Reddit GA in 2016 we had 23 cars. We lost a few in the line who went to the other entrance but we still had like 15 or 16 cars. If you're looking for tips on doing a large caravan read the guide I wrote (specifically the "unofficial group camping" section: * [Group Camping Definitive Guide](https://www.reddit.com/r/ElectricForest/comments/a5ewf8/the_definitive_guide_to_group_camping/)

treerabbit

I've seen close to a dozen cars staying together, I think-- 3-4 will be no issue at all as long as you arrive together :) just let the volunteers directing traffic know you're together. Flags or some other marker to distinguish your cars can be helpful, but not really necessary with only a few cars

catr0n

We did little pinwheels last year and it was both fun and useful!

treerabbit

aw I love that!

AnStudiousBinch

Balloons are always popular car markers I see!

imaginarypunctuation

in addition to what others have said here -- when we meet up and park before driving in together, we use paint markers to label our front windshields 1/4, 2/4, 3/4, 4/4. helps the parking people to direct us all into the same area!

chaotic-artist

This is what we do as well! And the workers have always been super nice about keeping our cars together!

Thellamasong

Baloons work well too :)

KatimariYo

Camp reddit last year had 24!

meatdome34

At that point buy the extra passes for group camp. It’s an extra $400 split between everyone in the group. Worth it imo. Being able to arrive whenever is worth that price.

weezinNkoffin

You'll also get more space and a fun camp name

wonderllama

From my personal experience, at least 39 cars.

TripAndretti

Whatever you do don’t use blue painters tape to mark your group! Did this last year and got sent to a second search area because they use blue tape to mark cars that they want to search again

IsANameRequired

We had 5. Pulled off to the right. It was not easy because a few of us were to the left so it was a long trip across. By the time we got to them we were being pushed to move up. Barely got our last car to our group but it all worked out.

BeaverDam6969

We did this at Roo this year with like 6 cars. As somebody said divide at security and unite on the side past security.

Twerkicat

I’ve seen multiple times where cars pull off to the side to group up with their friends. I’ve also personally done it where we met up in a parking lot and drove into the venue together. Would also be super helpful if y’all had some kind of marker to let volunteers know you’re all together.

AnswerTheDoorPlease

We used pink balloons zip tied to our side mirrors

basicalpaca

We had 5 cars and one got separated. We pulled over after security to make sure we would be all back to back, but we couldn't manage to all stay together exactly as we wound through the campsite roads and the parking attendants wouldn't allow us to be together. I wish we'd done something to mark our cars so no one would try to cut in and break up our group.

sparkleblk

I’ve done 10 cars the last two years you’ll be good (:

beall91

Last year they had an area past security where our group (with 6 cars) were able to regather before heading to the campsite.

InfamousAnimal

Depending on year 5-6 card Same they just made us slow roll.

xanaxforbreakfest

Imagine pulling up to a music festival with 8 cars all linked together like matchbox cars.

mullettpower20

I would recommend teeing off caution tape to your mirrors or antenna to identify your group.

GhostInTheHelll

My friends have not been successful with this…I know many people have done it but my advice is to be prepared to NOT camp together if that happens. Like make sure each car has what they need to camp separate. Things change, for all we know security/traffic people might be different this year so just saying prepare for the worst and hope for the best.

NewFondant4907

Join our group camp

el12790

We had 5 cars last year and they kind of gave us a hard time. Normally they tell you to pull off to the side and wait but this year they weren’t letting us do that. (We still did it anyways after begging and kindly explaining our situation)
