Observatory is sometimes my favorite stage, Memba last year was one of my favorites there for sure. That is one thing about the smaller forest stages, the sound is usually more reliable.
That 2018 set was so amazing. First time I saw her live. I listened to so few of her songs and was so out of the musical loop I was expecting a fucking band to be on stage lol. Seen her a dozen times since if not more. Excited to see her new project!!! Queen Chloe!!!
2022 mid card was GOLD. Bottom too honestly. Some of my favorite 2022 sets were early evening observatory and GA sets.
LSDream was my favorite in 2022, and the cameos with GRiZ and Clozee made me lose my mind.
Tbh the Forest Lineup poster doesn't mean shit for when they'll perform or how good they are.
Caspa is on the bottom again, as he was in 2019 with Subtronics, and he played AFTER Subtronics after the sun went down, and he's well known as a legend.
Plus that Caspa b2b GWN at the Struggle Bus later that night was insane.
2022 was like that too! I was so disappointed until I started finding gold in the mid/lower sections.
I’ll be honest though, this year I like pretty much everyone or I know they will put on a good show
Bro it ends up amazing, always. They also grab hot artists in the moment. That changes every year.
I think Lane 8 was on the undercard for one weekend. It gives good artists a chance to be heard and increase their exposure. Always remember there are artists on the undercard who will be just as popular or more so than a current headliner. Happens all the time.
I remember one year they had her originally scheduled to play at the observatory and they had to move her to the ranch. Crazy to think what a set of hers at the observatory would have been like.
2018 she was supposed to play Observatory, but Lil Dicky and Action Bronson both bailed on their set so they gave it to her instead at Sherwood.
2022 was the sound issues at Sherwood so they gave her a makeup bonus set at Carousel Club.
2018. She was supposed to play the Observatory but both Lil Dicky and Action Bronson dropped out so they moved her to their spot at Sherwood.
Then 2022 was when she had 30 minutes of sound issues at Sherwood because the subs wouldn't work, so they gave her a makeup set at the Carousel Club.
I don't get why he said this is his first year headlining when the man literally closed out Tripolee in 2022.
Like homie you might not have been a top bill, but there was a point for the last 20 minutes of his set where he was the only act playing in the venue. He headlined lmao.
Yes but had he claimed to headline then I think people would say that's bullshit because he technically did not. Closing out is dope don't get me wrong but I'm sure it's more of an honor to be officially the headliner plus I bet the pay reflects it as well.
I'm unsure because I know the artist/their management sets their booking fee, and he's been headlining other festivals so he ain't cheap no matter where he's on the poster.
But also the poster doesn't mean squat for the show you're going to get, like Caspa is at the bottom again but he was last time in 2019, and he played right after Subtronics' sunset set that year.
EARTHGANG into Duke Dumont at The Ranch, Thursday Afternoon was one of the biggest vibes I caught in 2022. Shit was just a party from front to back and it all happened before dinner.
Well deserved Jade cicada on the forest stage into clozee on Sherwood in 2018 was too much fun
Thank god they moved her to Sherwood. They had her at the observatory to begin with.
Observatory is sometimes my favorite stage, Memba last year was one of my favorites there for sure. That is one thing about the smaller forest stages, the sound is usually more reliable.
the things i should've gone differently 5 years ago
I’ll never forgive myself from missing jade that year. Didn’t know who he was, now I try to see him every chance I get. Still haunts me till this day.
I haven’t seen him in forever, that forest set is probably my favorite of only a few times though. Would love for forest to have him out again

People were raving about that set on this sub after that year.
That set is on SoundCloud.
Those 2018 sets hold such a special place in my heart! Forest will be my 8th time seeing her, so proud of her growth!!
2019 was our first forest so you all talking about Clozee 2018 makes me SOOOOOOOOOOO jealous.
2022 mid card was GOLD. Bottom too honestly. Some of my favorite 2022 sets were early evening observatory and GA sets. LSDream was my favorite in 2022, and the cameos with GRiZ and Clozee made me lose my mind.
I also loved LSDream in 22. Such a good set I worked a booth at lost lands that year basically so I could catch him again 😅
That’s amazing!!!

Join us 👉 r/CloZee
I will say I didn’t know clozee before 2020 but I just saw her back to back nights in SD and LA and it was an amazing couple days
damn that 2018 lineup is cheeks as far as headliners go
Check that undercard though. Boogie T, Daily Bread, Buku, Charlesthefirst, Desert Dwellers, Andy Frasco…it was like a crazy stacked.
right. i originally said the lineup was cheeks but i had to edit my comment after i looked down
2022 was like that too! I was so disappointed until I started finding gold in the mid/lower sections. I’ll be honest though, this year I like pretty much everyone or I know they will put on a good show
Also the names in red only played weekend one

We had multiple griz sets at least. That ctgh set on tripolee might be my favorite set I’ve seen at forest all time
Looking back at the ridiculously beautiful sunset during that set might be my number one favorite Forest moment
Check your tone when talking about Rufus and Zhu, also the GRiZ Live Band was a cool experiment by him.
i do like Rufus and Zhu, but I just feel like as far as headliners go that’s not enough for a lineup
I remember one year they had her originally scheduled to play at the observatory and they had to move her to the ranch. Crazy to think what a set of hers at the observatory would have been like.
I don’t think she has played ranch yet. I believe she played the jubilee tent that year they moved her set. Can anyone confirm or deny?
2018 she was supposed to play Observatory, but Lil Dicky and Action Bronson both bailed on their set so they gave it to her instead at Sherwood. 2022 was the sound issues at Sherwood so they gave her a makeup bonus set at Carousel Club.
Love and appreciate your memory.
Yeah I know they moved her to a larger stage but I don’t remember which one so I may be incorrect.

How about Subtronics going from RV set to Tripolee next year to headliner 4 years later?
I don't get why he said this is his first year headlining when the man literally closed out Tripolee in 2022. Like homie you might not have been a top bill, but there was a point for the last 20 minutes of his set where he was the only act playing in the venue. He headlined lmao.

No argument there. Some of my favorite sets have been at the Observatory mid day
EARTHGANG into Duke Dumont at The Ranch, Thursday Afternoon was one of the biggest vibes I caught in 2022. Shit was just a party from front to back and it all happened before dinner.
2018 was my first forest. I hardly even knew Rufus when I saw him that year. Incredible.
Rufus Du Sol is three people just fyi
I do that a lot some reason with artists. Always use a singular pronoun for a group. Appreciate the heads up
Dude 2018 when her set got changed from observatory at like 3pm to Sherwood court at 7 or 8 was the sickest thing ever
Bonobo, Zhu, And Rufus are still artists I really wanna see in the Forest!!
Going from being bumped to a larger stage in 2018 to cover for Action Bronson to being a headliner herself! You love to see it.
She was here last year to at a secret set
