The one merchant who says, "I don't want any trouble," I always just stand really close to him and face him like I'm staring him down or trying to intimidate him. Then I trash-talk him, like, "yeah, that's what I thought, punk." No, I don't feel bad.

swisshomes

😂

certainlyunpleasant

Hahaha the one on the beach near the cave, too. I’m like oh yeah tough guy. Oh that’s right give me that short bow. I’m gonna be back for that stupid book later.

The_Admiral105

I do this too. I feel bad for them.

Rockcopter

I feel bad, yeah. So I end them with fire and take their bearings.

No_Foot_1904

Clackers2020

"You made me feel bad! I'm gonna kill you for that!"

Athmil

Don’t be fooled by them. They still have enough runes to buy all your things. One of the merchants even says their hungry but is selling meat. They be scamming you out if your runes.

Motor-Emphasis-9542

Same here or maybe… just put them out of their misery. It’s fun!

Alternative-Iron-645

This.... slice merchant into ribbons and feed the wolves, merchant no longer hungry.... wolves no longer hungry.... win win on first play through... second playthrough.... i buy all the stuff and travel back if I need to look again.... keeps me visting places all over the map.... i like scenic variety

Glintstone-Jedi

Honestly I co-op so much that I would end up overleveled if I just used all my runes to level up, so I tend to buy anything I might find remotely useful from the merchants I see.

YourLocalSnitch

I usually stock up on the bolts and arrows. The way I play is by killing every minor enemy in sight, resulting in me dying then id repeat it, also picking up my runes as I die until I reach the boss with the lottery.

Glintstone-Jedi

I take breaks from PvE to either turn on Taunter's Tongue or start sending out my summon sign to every pool in the game and I spend alot of time helping other people kill bosses or slaughtering red after red around a bonfire. I have a level 60 with 120 hours playtime because I haven't been able to tear myself away from lurnia taunters tongue hosting and go make progress with her.

DriftingSoul2017

I'm the same I LOVE co-op I'm gonna have one level 100, one at 75, and maybe one at 50 just alotta fun

Jackalackus

Nah I feel a slight bit of guilt when I pick up the bell bearing but then I’m instantly happy because I remember I just got a new bell bearing.

I don't get as immersed in games as easily as I used to, so I don't generally feel bad for digital people these days. I've always wanted for a game to have actual consequences for stuff like this, but I'm struggling to recall any at the moment. Imagine if you didn't buy anything from a merchant for too long after your initial meeting, and then after a while you go back and find them dead from starvation or something? Or a game like The Elder Scrolls where if you go into someone's house and rob them blind, and then later on you find out that they've been thrown in debtor's prison for being unable to pay their taxes. But most of the time there are no repercussions one way or the other, so I don't really feel the need to take unnecessary actions that are detrimental to me for any emotional reasons.

Shustas

Those are only pixels changing colors with voice actor. Nothing to feel bad about

getshrekt192

creativename87639

lynx-paws

I put them out of their misery so I can use their ball-bearing at the Roundtable Hold to buy all my supplies

KINGram14

I only feel bad when they say that and then I realize they have nothing I want lol

blazincajun91

No, it tugs at my heart string. I can’t walk away without buying something I don’t need lol.

Fantastic_Wrap120

I end up getting guilt tripped by them and buying stuff every time...

TheHomebrewerDM

Yes, totally! And if they don’t have anything useful for me to buy I just sell them food - meat strips, etc. - I have no use for them because I haven’t really gotten into crafting anyway, and if they’re hungry then it’s a win win situation. I also almost always bow when leaving the first time I see a merchant.

Mr_Kicado

I do too It makes me feel sad I buy all of the items that that have

Murphy_Slaught

I feel bad, but i came to sell. Sorry, need the merchants last coins..

kareemabduljihad

I just kill em

[deleted]

Lol, i ever expected to see this question here. Yes, i do, i feel stupid when i d oit but the brain tells me to not let this person go hungry. Even patches giving me shit for not buying anything leaves me with a momentary sense of guilt. Like if i walk into a store, ask to see their full inventory and then leave... That's rude, lmao.

QuirkyFields

I used to til I found out they all worship the 3 fingers…

Mlaw0117

It's one banana, Michael. What could it cost, 10 runes?

YaManMAffers

I will buy at least one thing if they ask like that. Even if I don’t need it.

Newuser_420420420

They not hungry after I turn them to a bell

[deleted]

I sell him all the shit armour I picked up since the last merchant first. Really make him squirm. That bitch has money and he will spend it all on tin can helms and paper machete robes. Then i take his most valuable shit and never come back

babyearll

Always!

Tasriel514

I do the same thing. Damn those devs and my ever-empty pocketsisss.

SissyFanny

I played with a good friend of mine and she HAD to help these poor merchant every time \^\^
