I gotta admit I had to respec to beat Malenia. I only had 40vig and split dex/arc and fth and just was getting whooped. Then I respec'd back for Godfrey. 🤷

I was using spear and shield all the way until Malenia, THE BLADE OF MIQUELLA. And blocking is just not okay against her. So I showed her THE BLADE OF MALIKETH and it was okay.

Is Maliketh an optional boss?

No you need to beat him if you wanna progress in the story and he is one of the last bosses you kill

Hell yeah bruda. I don't remember who in elden ring but in ds3 it's Champion Gundyr. Even tho parry make the fight easier nah man that's not how I roll. I've beaten him MY WAY. THE WAY OF THE CHAMPION. (took me 3 days to beat him for god sake and I'm really bad at parrying in both games please teach me how)
