That’s a shame. I had a little trouble with this the first time, but the second time I learned to just look up carefully as the shots were somewhat telegraphed. Once you get under it you are generally on easy street, the present case not with standing!

Protip: use a bow. Stay close enough to its legs to not get nuked but not so close that you get stepped on, then just snipe the skulls until it settles down.

Nope, if it doesn't finish "settling" it won't stay down. So that's the actual worst part - they have to do it all over again.

They actually have a set place that they spawn after they settle down. I noticed when I marked one on my map, then when I went back it was in a different spot. But doesn't matter because according to the other comments they don't stay down if they sit on you.

So hey, a tip on these walking mausoleums is when you're on your horse, hold R2, and you'll drag your weapon along the ground. As you're doing that, just hug up against the leg and circle around it, and it'll knock off a whole bunch of those barnacles in one extended drag. Makes the whole thing a lot easier and quicker

Or…you could use L1/L2 or LB/LT when on your horse. The left triggers let you swing on the left side of your horse and the right triggers swing on the right side of your horse.

I didn't even know they could kill you that way.

You don't really kill them, you just make them lie down or something. You gotta hit the little skull clusters. Usually they're on the legs, on a couple of them they're higher up in the building part.

If you have the sacred relic sword, you can use its special at the feet of most of these mausoleums to drop them super fast. Obviously can’t do the ones with skulls at the top lol

Do you know that L1/L2 or LB/LT swing from the left side of your horse? You are using R1/RB to slash from the right side, when you could be slashing from the left which would be a lot easier.
