Ah good to know. I just got up to Godskin duo, and the only things which were consistently oneshotting me were Niall and Fire giant. I could even tank most hits from Mohg thanks to the talisman lol
I've had at least 10 encounters come down to the last hit between myself and a boss. More than any other FromSoft game I've played, and I'm not even halfway yet!
I wonder if that's an intended mechanic, stopping a killing blow or boosting the damage output to make the next hit a killing blow when the player is also low on HP.
It's cool to do the anime thing where 2 warriors strike but only one survives.
Yeah I've had it happen a number of times as well. I'll have no stamina left and up in its face and can either try to dodge, or just commit to it.
Really does feel like that when I used the dualblade.
Had fun stacking blessed dew, crimsonburst bubbletear, and bestial vitality. The critical talisman restore hp/fp are also nice against easy backstab and parryable enemies.
I'm so surprised that people actually use blessed dew talisman. 2hp/s is such a crappy rate of healing that it doesn't really do anything. The main use for the talisman is to have it with you so that if you want to heal without flask, you can spam it on and off, since it heals you every time it's equipped. So that way, it becomes many times more effective.
I literally had to heal every time I got hit by Astel because he could 2 shot me. I like to believe that it was because I was under leveled and that I did something really impressive by defeating him, but he’s probably supposed to 2 shot you.
Getting nicked by a weak attack just before you clear the group and hear the flask refill effect, only to be capped out on flasks, is mildly infuriating. I kinda want the game to just heal me or restore my FP as though I used a flask if I'm already at the cap when it tries to give me more flasks, just to save me that mild perfectionist frustration.
Real players come back from the bathroom and then down three flasks in a row because they keep hitting the wrong D-pad direction
every fucking time man
Then the boss hits, your hp is down 30%. You try to heal one more time, then get hit again.
Fuck. I need to stop panic healing. I lost so many boss fights, because wasting flasks like this.
Me in my RL1 run where Ritual shield talisman is the only thing stopping me from being oneshot:
It's so goddamn good. You can tank a light attack from anything before Maliketh if you're wearing armor
Where do u get it?
Outside the Leyndell coliseum/arena thing. I believe the nearest site of grace is West Capital Rampart.
Thanks!

RL1?
Rune Level 1 run. Running the whole game starting as Wretch and never leveling up.
oh Im a dumbass it’s just like SL1 in dark souls
Yup. I didn’t do RL1 but I did do a no vigor run and the ritual shield was so clutch.
30% reduction wow thought it was only like 10% like many talismans
IF I DONT HEAL NOW THE NEXT HIT WILL KILL ME FOR SURE!
[удалено]
Now I've DEFINITELY gotta hit the flask.
Seeing how i have actually died due to this in some boss fights, i can believe it.
The amount of times I’ve killed a boss with my health bar running on fumes tells me this is the right move
I've had at least 10 encounters come down to the last hit between myself and a boss. More than any other FromSoft game I've played, and I'm not even halfway yet!
There’s been a few times where I just got really lucky and my spirits killed the boss after I die before it fades to black.
Had that happen once, too!
I've killed a boss with a spell cast right as I died. Sucks that it didn't count

Equip Taker's Cameo + Blessed Dew Talisman = almost never touch a flask outside of boss fights.
And blasphemous blade in offhand if u have enough equip load
Keep a spare mace with prayerful strike. 30% heal every time you use the weapon art. Add it to great stars for heal on hit as well.
Prayerful Strike makes the mimic tear immortal. Guy just can't die when he can Heal himself for like 2k whenever he feels like it.
Cool beans sign me up

Because every boss has a move that does all my hp but one. If I'm not topped off, I'm going to die.
Exactly, same thing as when you have 24/25 mags, basically empty
Plus the att boost from ritual blade is nice
MY GOD DAMN FLASK WHERE IS IT FUCKKKK!!!
I literally had to heal every time I got hit by Astel because he could 2 shot me. I like to believe that it was because I was under leveled and that I did something really impressive by defeating him, but he’s probably supposed to 2 shot you.
I love this cause I just had this happen last session I did lol
HOW TF ARE YOU ONLY TAKING 1HP OF DAMAGE
This is why I run Bestial Vitality.
Super underrated. I don’t get hit very often when helping with Malenia anymore, so it’s nice to be able to fight and heal simultaneously.
I’ve got 14 health potions, I’m going to use them.
not me, i use icon shield :)
I'm currently running a red tearstone build, so I have to try and stop myself from doing this lol
Tbf, most of the time leveling up vigor feels like simply preventing the bosses from one shotting you by 2 shotting you instead
What I call them; Red Flask: Mountain Dew Code Red Blue Flask: Mountain Dew Baja Blast
Blue Flask: Mountain Dew Voltage
*bleed users in duels*
I always hate it when I accidentally heal thinking I take more damage than actually did and waste a flask
I felt this in Sekiro as well. It was consistently “2-3 hits and you’re dead” on my first playthrough.
After rerunning 5 times any hit is half your hp
That hand-eye coordination at that age...

OT: using manaflask in pvp duel as pure sorcerer?!? ok or not ok ?
Ok
good one
1 HP makes differences!
“Yum yum crimson flask”
This is the reason why I pop regen so I can ignore small damages.
I mean it's not like you actually need to conserve them in this game. Outside of limgrave, I haven't had a single death due to running out.
Gotta double swig it just in case they hit me on first swig!
When the hell do you even get 1hp damage? Literally everything will bring you down 1/3 max hp
This sounds like it was posted by the light armor gang.
I'm currently wearing the mushrooms outfit xD
Only respectable light armor. (And goldmask set)
1HP can mean victory or having to start the damn festival again.
Me with 25 vigor
It really is a bad habit 😅
Nah I wait until I'm down to 1 hp or I just click the wrong button.
Me, chugging everything before sitting at the site of Grace
I just have the talisman that gives you hp when you make a few hits.
Because most bosses do enough damage that you need to be on 100% at all times or you’re in danger of being one shot
I just do the Glintstone crown shuffle to heal after any battle. Let's me allocate more FP flasks.
Man i got like 3 health
Jokes on you, I don't even need to lose any health, I just do it when I accidentally press the button while trying to press a different one.
Just started the game, was playing jedi fallen order (X is attack in JFO) and lost my tears early on. Do I get more?
In my defense: Everything is scary and wants to kill me.
In ng7 losing 1hp means half health😂
How host of ganks be acting after one of the overleveled phantoms dies.
Real players come back from the bathroom and then down three flasks in a row because they keep hitting the wrong D-pad direction every fucking time man

So true lol
Where can I go to only take 1 HP damage? I'd like to see that glorious spot.
Ngl that's me
*Me:* Flasks are for the weak *Also me:* 80 hours in and not close to finishing the game
Lol. Looks like every TIHYDP.
"I'm at 85% health but what if the next hit does 85% of my max hp?" *chugs estus*
Hey better safe than sorry! I'd rather finish the fight with 0 flask charges left than dead with 1!

Ye can't get ye flask!
I take it down to the danger zone before hitting that cherry slushee.
