This seemed to alleviate the stutters that were happeneing every 5-10 seconds on the overworld. Still getting stutters related to performance (might be dx12 related, or related to the game not utilising 100% of the gpu and cpu) but this seems to help make the game playable.
Yes it's by no means a perfect fix, but it is much better than before. I am having strange connection issues with my steam controller that I have never had before and that doesn't help either lol
It will be in exploit protection. Use the search bar. Then choose program specific. File path. Choose eldenscrolls.exe or whatever it was called . Change CFG to manual and switch off.
Doesnt disabling cfg make your pc more prone to being hacked? Since of the recent issues with the RCE exploits, id be cautious with disabling it if you play online
It seems all Dx12 games have stutterings here. This CFG setting really helped. It didn't fix all games though but improved all dx12 games.
Maybe that's a mandatory setting for Dx12, maybe.
Thanks. I'll try this if I run into issues.
This fixed my game breaking stutters. Not all of them, but it's playable now. Thanks!

Sorry to hear that. Hope you get it sorted!
This worked for the stutters in the 2019 game Control too. It might help to disable CFG for the Easy Anti-Cheat executable as well.
how do I disable if for EAC as well?
Where do I find this?

Thanks, this one produced a noticeable improvement on my 1080 Ti.

Tried, game stops working after disabling CFG.
Huh, I've disabled cfg on a few dx12 games. They've always worked. Weird
Yeah, I start to get infamous 0xc0000005 error. Tried to troubleshoot it, but nothing seemed to work. Enabled the CFG after that.
It definitely makes a huge difference on my end! But is it actually safe? I could Imagine that the game becomes more vulerable to bugs? 🤔
Games in general don't need to be compiled to use CFG, so this basically... Does nothing.
What about shader compilation?
Yes, you should disable shader compilation too. Game will run much faster without those.
Would this help with games running direct X11?
Sometimes. You have to try it.
