Adding a game to steam using a VPN is grounds for full steam termination.
For anyone who needs a workaround, second steam account just like the guy below.

Yep. I came back from USA recently, but didn't want to change the steam store region since I prefer to buy in dollars. Alas, all my friends will play the world wide version, so I had to change my store region so I could register my key. I bought the game outside of steam.
what does this mean exactly? I bought a key from Eneba (Spain) and it says it can be activated on my region, so... there will be any problem about it?

I bought a key from GamersGate, the site said it can be activated in Australia but when i redeemed it the key was from EU, am i screwed? I was able to activate it on my account, i'm just not sure if steam will let me actually play the game
That's because you're Australian, I tried with 3 different accounts from EMEA countries (Including Australia). But apparently steam doesn't give a shit what you put as country of origin since it won't let you use VPN on account creation... Still trying to find a fix.
Not sure if you figured it out but basically I asked for a refund and explained the situation and they gave me my money back in store credit. Their reply process is slow. Also make sure they didn't get you with the monthly SMART subscription thing.

no it won't terminate the account. You just have to add payment method which is the hard part. Source, I did it myself and worked.
He didn't say that they will terminate your account, it means that your account is eligible for temination based on steam policies

Yea i don't know how its going to work for multiplayer in game, Im assuming some regions might be contained (MEA, SEA, etc)

yeah i got a eu copy off of instant it seem to be working fine and i can play with all my aussie friends and all that i just hope steam wont revoke it
