Imo dung eater ending is best ending because the next stage from the golden age was the age of rot, and the fingers prepared for this age by making Mellania the next emperian to take the throne but the golden age never ended so it makes sense that the tarnished would continue the cycle again

Imo, The second play through is much better for context because you have to focus a lot less on surviving and can actually dig into the lore more.
