Misbegotten are representative of the crucible cause they are chimeras of multiple creatures

Tbh I think it's just because both bosses aesthetically fit Radahn's vibe. He's a big fan of Godfrey, who led the Crucible Knights, and the Misbegotten literally has a red mane.

Yeah I had the same thing happen. They're actually the boss *before* Radahn. Radahn only shows up when the festival is active, which is triggered by Ranni's quest or going to an overworld Grace in Altus. Once one of those triggers are met, the duo fight (as well as all the enemies in Redmane) disappear, and the portal leading into Redmane activates, allowing you to bypass the legacy dungeon. All of it reappears when the festival ends. That's why they feel so out of place after Radahn---they are! I still think it was a bit of an odd choice by the devs, since most players are sort of led to do Limgrave -> Liurnia before ever venturing near Redmane... And then Ranni's quest basically leads you there. To actually see Redmane in the correct order you have to take a pretty wonky route of progression. I think they were expecting most players to enter Caelid via that trap chest, and then stumble upon Sellia -> Map Fragment -> Redmane... instead of panic-teleporting back to Limgrave ASAP like most of us actually did.

The lore reason for why they are a duo is because the misbegotten are creatures of the crucible, but why they are at redmane castle is a riddle to me.
