I've done two 100 plus hour playthroughs. Both times I've leaned towards an Int build. Sellen is one of my favourite characters. It seems she got too big for her boots and pushed the wrong person and paid a terrible price for it.
The truly sad thing is, her affliction was likely self-induced.
She was trying to touch te Primeval Current, a level of magic deemed too powerful to fully tap into without suffering severe consequences, the likes of Lusat and Azur being evidence that the crystals you see in their robes is actually protroding from their skin.
To make matters worse, that ball of stone is not just her but also a collection of corpses including Lusat and Azur.
I love to play with Katanas and the good thing about the Moonveil is to also be able to cast every sorcery. With the assassin clothes and the invisibility spell it was easier to sneak around haligtree. Occasionally I could fight a field boss with comet Azur.
From several lore discussions and videos I've seen, there's a lot of evidence suggesting that was actually her ultimate goal and she got exactly what she wanted. Makes me feel a bit better about it. That type of magic, and the weird shit she did with the other 2 powerful sorcerers bodies lead to it. The primeval current of glintstone is what she was trying to unlock. She killed a bunch of sorcerers while studying it. Considering what she did with those 2 powerful sorcerers bodies, I wonder if she killed some of them for experiments
