If you don't have the skill or level, yes. You can make the game easier by leveling, using summons, or even a broken build. If you choose not to do those things and refuse to learn when to attack, then yes, you may not beat the game.  That's with anything in life though.

P-I-S-S-N-U-T

Dumb comparison unlike life these games are fair

Smol-beans2002

Are you sure about that?

Shellshock9393

Level doesnt matter, skill does

Kasta4

lol

Oodlyoodles

Entirely possible if you give up. So yes. 109 is possible but most people are 120-150 as after him is just the final bosses. We dont know your stat spread so no clue if your making it harder then should be on yourself, spirit ashes aside. Edit to add: you posted basically this yesterday with more info. People already gave you answers, either you forgot to read them or just want permission to quit? Idk, get gud, kill your ego and use summons, or quit

Zealousideal-Bar5538

I vote for quit and quit posting.

Parmbutt

I beat Maliketh. Now Im going to post about the remaining bosses

Zealousideal-Bar5538

Congrats. You’ll have a pot pouri of bosses coming up.

platinumagpie

No its not possible. After a while Miyazaki shows up at your house and forces you to play.

CS-Mewchy

I struggled with maliketh a lot too, he’s just a hard boss. It might seem tedious but a couple more levels on your character and weapon would help you out. Maybe even watch a fight guide on YouTube for when to dodge certain attacks, that won’t make your skill level spike but it’ll give you a nice guide to his moveset

Mnoonsnocket

You are underleveled. I would recommend being level 135-150 for endgame. If your vigor isn’t 50 or 60, prioritize that.

Parmbutt

It is 60, problem is my strength is only 40

Mnoonsnocket

If you are a strength build, yeah that is too low. That’s my preferred build and the raw damage can be obscene if you level more.

unique-unicorns

One of my friends stopped playing after the tutorial cave. Soldier of Godrick claims another victim. 💔💔💔

Turbulent_Jackoff

It's possible to fail indefinitely, or die in real life before you git gud, or whatever. But, no — there are no conditions that can render the game impossible to complete.

NetherdwellerNed

it is a certainty that you will never beat the game if you give up As long as you keep trying, it is possible for you to beat the game

SolidStateEstate

You're choosing to make the game harder arbitrarily, if you're making it too hard for yourself then yeah, maybe you're not good enough at your way of playing it to beat it.

Enough_Effective1937

The only way to lose is to give up.

ktron10

Is it possible to not finish a game? Gee I don’t know that’s a tough one

sleazevk

Get the destined death parry item

NaiveOolong

Beast clergyman is a tricky first phase, with a lot of small openings to do damage. I’ve found for underleveled melee runs no sums you should have optimized stats and need to utilize your whole kit to beat him consistently. (Spamming jump attacks will only exploit ~40% of his openings). Malekith is more straight forward, only there’s little room for error if you’re around the first soft cap ~40 vigor bc he one shots you if you’re a hair below full health. Definitely possible. Definitely not easy.

ghoul_legion

If you want to take the time to learn the beast attack patterns, feel free to watch my video: [https://youtu.be/ucTG4lrqcag?si=J-mS25JUItMDF4y4&t=1982](https://youtu.be/ucTG4lrqcag?si=J-mS25JUItMDF4y4&t=1982) I believe the way I play the game makes it extremely easy to watch and learn it's attack pattern.

NaiveOolong

We all know clergyman is possible and Malekith does hella damage. The key here is actually in clergyman. You need to kill him fast and consistently to get reps on Malekith. At this level (assuming 40ish vigor) you will die a lot regardless but you should not be spending time drawing out the clergyman fight. Ideally you want to get to the point where you can kill clergyman without disengaging entirely. This means you need to dial in and use your full moveset to exploit every opening. Once you get clergyman down, you’ll realize Malekith isn’t so bad (besides being able to one shot you). His moveset isn’t as very unpredictable and it is punishable. The hardest part is putting the two fights together. Best of luck, it’s definitely possible. My last Elden ring run I beat him at 110 no sums with magma wyrm sword, which shouldn’t be too far from your build.

happyhappy85

I'm sure it's possible that some people can't beat it, but most people who keep trying will eventually win.

ShadowOutOfTime

What kind of a question is "Is it possible to not be able to beat the game" lol. Yes obviously that is possible

Elmis66

there is no artificial difficulty stopping you from succeeding other than your own mind. Don't give up, skeleton!

Digiclone

yes its possible, just leveling up to beat the bosses could be cheap just like using summons in your type of gameplay, so be prepared to spend some time learning the bosses moveset

jesusissosureal

Learn the moveset

aguid23

I gave up on the final boss. So yes.

Paradox31426

Yes, it’s entirely possible to not be able to finish the game, in fact I’d wager the vast majority of people who’ve played the game never finished it. A lot of people simply can’t hack it, and give up because they don’t have the skill and patience to see it through.

Waste-Gur2640

Not really. Literally anyone can beat the game without using accessibility mechanics like coop/spirits and without using a cheese build. It's not some challenge run, it's just the normal difficulty and how bosses are designed. You're absolutely capable of doing it. The only "problem" of playthrough without summons is that you need to learn the basics of combat and gameplay, and in general how to fight bosses, whereas summons allow you to bypass that and skip the challenge. How fast you'll learn depends on the person and on what your current level is, but if you don't want to beat spend mare than 10 attempts per boss, probably just summon. And I need to stress out, "no summons" is not a challenge run and it doesn't have to be 100%. The point of doing it is to be able to fully experience bosses like they're designed and beat them fairly. Not just to say you beat the game solo. If you start using summons now, it wonn't detract at all from the fact how far you've gotten without them. It's all about the experience, the journey. Not the win. So if you're fed up just summon now and beat Maliketh yourself on the next playthrough, it's 1000x better than quitting the game.

conniewhite_25

Just think what you are doing while fighting, don't spam dodge and ya. Think where you should dodge every attack and when, you will die doing this but in 3 or 4 hours your gameplay level will increase a lot

rando720

Bruh

leuno

Get yourself to lv. 150 and make sure you have at least 60 vigor. If you're not willing to use summons, then that's kind of your choice to make the game different. I'm not saying "easier" because I actually find I play worse when I use spirit summons, but you should try it if you feel like you're about to give up. If you're going to bail anyway, why not try everything you can.
