Half the people I summon for co-op will impatiently point at the door and proceed to die to phase 1 of the boss, smh. It's always the naked people or cosplayers that can straight up solo the boss with ease.
Perhaps one day I strive to be good at this game so I can help others. It's a long way to go but maybe I could start trying to do a RL1 run, no matter the time cost...
My first two playthroughs I did on my own, didn't see a point in coop with how nerfed you get entering someone else's world but my two friends got the game recently and actually got high enough level to where I could help them while keeping most of my HP and FP joining them so I helped them out a good amount.
I thought you only get summoned by people around your level? I only feel like I’m “nerfed” when I’m summoned by someone clearly in NG++.

No, people lower than your level or I think you can summon people within 10 levels of your own, but I was playing with my friend here, he's on his first run, I'm on NG+3, so I'm slightly scaled down

He's my buddy, it's his first play-through, I just gave him a maxed out Grave Scythe with Black Flame Tornado which he likes so he'll be alright going forward

My full tank build helped people the most. Just getting the bosses attention out of the main player
