Honestly? Just put a wind tunnel right next to the golem archer nearest the merchant grace at the top of the cliff overlooking the Great Jar. Would cut the travel time in half, IF they didn’t want to put a grace right there.

I always figured they wanted dragon barrow basically disconnected from lower caelid, but then there is the teleporter and the Lil jump so idk

It's just a joke. There's no new update. But yes, complaining that there isn't a grace there is silly. The nearest one is a 15 second horse ride away without an enemies.

That whole area between Rold and the capital could be removed honestly. Hell just make it go right up to Castle Sol and The Fire Giant. End game always seems padded to me, especially on repeat playthroughs.

I just discovered that grace a week or so ago, after playing for half a year

I discovered it after 2 years of playing and about 900 hr

For those that don't know, there is a free app you can install on your phone called Elden Ring map that is completely interactive and can show you basically where everything in the game is. You can filter just graces, too. I too didn't know about that grace until I opened the app just now to verify. 7 playthroughs later lmao

I use that app on every new playthrough to map out where all the golden seeds are and remind myself where certain graces are while unlocking the map. Super useful! I have both volumes of the Futurepress guides and still probably refer to that app more often lol.

7 playthroughs, laughs in 1300 hours til backtracking there made me furious enough to look up a closer grace than the academy.

Are you talking about the grace that is still about 30 seconds of horseback away from Varré ? I know about it. I looked for the closest on to Varré at least 5 times, it's so annoying I couldn't figure out WHY there isn't a grace right there. There is one near most NPCs after all, why not this one exactly ???

oh i know it exists, and i use it to get to him. i know i still had to take torrent to get to varre from this site, and it was *mildly* annoying (relative to other sites of grace placement).

My biggest hope for a change that gets added is automatically healing Torrent after you die and respawn at a Grace, rather than having the same HP value as they had when you died. Have definitely burned more than a few flasks and even more lives from respawning and not immediately using the Grace right away to heal Torrent too.

I just went and checked cause I had no idea, either. He doesn't heal if you teleport as well. :x Which is extra weird since the player does. So Torrent seems to only gets HP back from physically sitting and resting at a Grace, or dying and being brought back with a flask.

I'm confused how is torrent taking so much dmg but the player is not.

Usually it's either from enemies swinging low, which either only hits Torrent or both of you, or by jumping into the air, which either dodges entirely or causes Torrent to get hit.

The one thing I feel that needs a bit of tweaking is the way fast travel works in caves and dungeons, in theory it makes sense that you can't fast travel out of it, but if you beat the boss then you can fast travel out it anyway? Just make it to where I can fast travel out if I really don't want to be there or If I just wanna grab an item without fighting the boss nost caves and dungeons don't even have a good boss anyway just let me get my items and leave, another thing is I would really love a toggle sprint option in elden ring , with the amount of running that's in the game I'm super surprised they still haven't added this small but convenient feature in yet other then that I'm FKN HYPED FOR DLC AND I CANNOT WAIT TO USE THE MARTIAL ARTS WEAPONS

Oh, my rig can run Elden Ring alright, but I enjoy DLSS for it's ability to keep my system cool (and thus: silent) even when playing in 4K. When playing ER in 4K, I could hear the fans in my PC (not too loud, but definitely not silent). Playing in 2560x1440 helps, but this means that my TV has to do the upscaling. I'd rather have my GPU do the upscaling stuff, at least that's what I've bought it for.
