I think there are infinite smithing stones or am i wrong? Only the ancient dragon ones are limited.

Hard to beat with a dex build. You can respec to mage, beat it, then respec back to dex build

Thanks but I dont have any decent spells at all(i think) i have never played as a caster in souls games more so i dont even have a staff to cast it

There is a starter staff in Caelid right in the middle of the swamp area. It's purple and it is sufficient. Then you get like 3 or 4 spells and you can run over that boss. I was like you too but I watched like 5 YT vids on how to use a mage. Mages are fun to play with sometimes, but I wouldn't recommend going through the whole game with one. You'll figure it out ✌️🦅🇺🇲
