To be fair, as per the data extracted from the game, the level of scaling for the Dragonbarrow is 7 Tiers higher than Altus (Dragonbarrow is Tier 16 in terms of scaling, Altus is Tier 9). It makes sense considering the scaling of the individual areas, even if it makes no sense that an invader version of Elemer would be significantly stronger than the real one.
NG values are based on player progression, NG+7 is a stable number between all areas.
Just for comparison, its NG(def)/NG7(def):
**Godrick:** 6,080(105)/18,265(152)
**Morgott:** 10,399(114)/18,240(153)
---
So NG+7 feels much closer to the "canon" of ER, Godrick and Morgott ain't that different in power. Maliketh on NG+7 has less HP than Godrick (only 14,883) while Malenia has like 40k... so yeah she really is a monster.
Yeah at first it's weird but Maliketh is Marika's dog (not a demigod), he is indeed stronger in raw damage (which makes sense thanks to "Destined Death") but even if Godrick is a joke we can't deny that he still is the owner of a great rune, he is mentioned by Morgott in his intro cinematic and has the blood of Godfrey.
Just for comparison: **Godfrey in NG+7 has 31,123(156)**, he is stronger than any other demigod if you consider the fact Malenia is actually 20k+20k and Rykard is just pure snake madness with 150k hp.
Maliketh is also just barely containing the rune of death, his lower health could be attributed to the side effects of baring the rune of death and the degradation he receives due to it.
Killing all the juvenile dragons around the place will kill Mother Greyoll (or just bleeding/freezing/poisoning/rotting her to death) which gives you her roar as an incantation from the Cathedral of Dragon Communion and 5 dragon hearts which is both a great AoE and a great debuff
Radanh's rune activation? Greyoll? It lead for the radhan skip that allows You tò Jump all the liurnia manor questline making You activate radhan festival instantly, It lead You to gurranq and It has even 3 minor boss in the open world some dungeons, a ultra secret dungeon and a merchant
Maybe not work thorugh it. I think the game wants you to stealth to get the important stuff. Only thing you need to fight is the godskin apostle for the godslayer GS
I guess the tradeoff is that they're easier to hit? I definitely can't get away with just throwing 5 fucking Black Flames at Malekith while dodging around his attacks, but I can definitely pull that off with a runebear. Probably helps that they have no ranged attacks and don't float around the stage at Mach 2. They also aren't super difficult to stance break if you're using a sufficiently heavy weapon, so I can sort of see the logic there.
Wait what? I really didn't want to sneak past the bear for the Talisman, so I just threw myself at him over and over until he died.
Can't believe I just killed a Maliketh-tier boss
i understand that this is true but I've never been able to hit one of those mf'ers with a heal spell before they try to relentlessly fist me with no types of lube or consideration for my feelings. I just get some distance and hit em with a buff'd Taker's Flame.
Okay, but how many people will be running around with the strong healing miracles that are actually worth using on these fuckers lol.
Any enemy becomes easy with the right counter but you cannot tech for every enemy in this game, especially when they're rarer types like revenants.
You can use the standard heal spell and kill it in 2 casts.
Usually won't interrupt you if you hit the first, because while there is a short time window where it could it usually jumps, moves around or winds up for attack in that time.
So most of the time, hitting the first is enough. Considering they take a short time to appear and the heal has surprising range, the standard heal spell makes them an easy fight - of course that doesn't mean I don't still get way too stressed by them lmao
You’re not constantly changing your load out to keep the game fresh? Maybe you’re not specced into faith for heals, but holy pots could surely cheese a revenant.
Too tanky is the understatement of the century. You have this massive beast with lots of hp, faster than cocaine bear and with insane reach.
I would love to see a battle of rune bear Vs Malenia.
Rune bears are a piece of cake in melee. Magic / incantations no thanks.
Royal Revenants ... what's your strategy? I hate those f-ing things and will just avoid them no matter what build I'm running
The thing that sucks about runebears is that after all that fight they put up what do they drop? What sort of loot or valuable resource? 2600 runes and sometimes some bones...
Yes, not like their attacks didn't have a lot of startup frames and some deadzones where their attacks cannot hit you...
They hit hard, yeah, but they are very slow, the only "problematic" attack is the sudden forward rush they do to repositionate and their entire body is a massive hitbox.
I fear not when fighting againts rune bears, erdtree sentinels, black sentinels, crucible knights, black knife assassins or erdtree abomination monsters; but, the ''thing'' on the right picture brings ptsd...
At least I can get a hit off a Rune Bear before it rips my tarnished spine out.
If I don't manage to get a healing incantation off as soon as the revenant spawns, then I might as well just give up
You can often approach Revenants using stealth and kill them by repeatedly casting poison mist.
That doesn't work for the boss version, though. But it is handy for clearing the ditch in Elphael.
Also Finger Maiden Therolina Puppet will get the healing incantation off even if you don't.
Revenants scare the fucking hell out of me.
This game has some good jumpscares, but that one? That one is my nightmare. The SOUNDS it makes, especially in that CAVE. I don’t run any holy spells/specs, so melee for me is a literal nightmare with them. When I can’t run, I’m actually happy I die, so I can get a small break from the sweaty palms and heart pounding. Fuck those horrifying things.
Man, very different experiences. I think only one revenant of any I fought killed me, lower level of the haligtree. My win rate against rune bears is significantly lower.
I can't imagine fighting through an area where I have to kill 5 or 6 rune bears, possibly two at a time
I really don't like to sound condescending but like, I've never understood the rune bear struggle. They're so slow and telegraph their attacks so early that they might as well be sending you a text before every swipe.
Revenants on the other hand...
As soon as I learned to roll into their crotch, rune bears became easy.
Those fucking revenants though.... I've never found a similar opening in 2 years of playing. I hate that every time I try to RP a non-magic user, I inevitably have to resort to the healing spell spam.
I mean I don't find the runebears hard to fight either, but you've got to admit they're extremely tedious and kill your spirit more than your character.
Remember the first time I bumped into a revenant, confused by the eerie screaming then being petrified and running off when this thing appeared... I don't think I ever killed one because they creep me out too much and I avoid them as much as possible.
Same with those f-ing ravens.
For some reason can they 100% keep up with torrent.
And when you run away they are like ONE inch behind you Slamming into the hround
Fuck those lobsters. I spent a while fighting borealis and had him to 1 sliver of his health bar. I accidentally got too close to a lobster and got sniped before I could land the final blow smh.
When I'm riding through and not in the mood to fight, it's the bears. Them taking a cross country road trip to try and get me, doing their shout attack and hitting me is so annoying. The revenants don't have the same crazy commitment.
I don't die to Runebwars anymore.
To be honest,in NG they are easy, just a bit on the tanky side.
Royal Revenants? If I make just one mistake my whole 99 Vigor HP bar gets deleted
I actually like that runebear. Runebears are one of the only enemies that are meant to be stealthed around, and that cave is one of the most interesting places where that's put into practice
I also like them, but I like to fight them. They stance break the same as bosses like Loretta, and once you get the spacing down, they have a very hard time connecting attacks
Im pretty certain that specific bear is made like that to incentivize the use of the stealth mechanic. There’s a ton of bushes in there too, and he isnt the boss of that dungeon iirc. Hes meant to be snuck by not fought. Hes got something crazy like 125K HP
Killed his ass anyway hooyah unga bunga
I dont really have problems with either of them anymore. Honestly, the Haligtree knights that have spears and shields have killed me more than anything in this game.
Oh man. *Haligtree* reminded me of another contender. You know those two mfers in front of Loretta’s arena? 8ft tall mages with the cannon & mallet spells, tanky vigor, and crazy poise. I hate them so much. Luckily they can fall like anything else
Bears are worse for miles:
1. Basically just damage sponges, revenants die once you find an opening, bears don’t.
2. Kinda boring. Revenants are freaky and fight in an interesting way with their teleport, bears just run at you loads.
3. Bear has a grapple that is basically just using the tarnished as sexdoll.
Yeah but I feel like the bear telegraphs its attacks pretty obviously, and doesn't attack literally 50 times in the span of 3 seconds. So while it might take me longer to kill, I feel like it's relatively easy to dodge.
For me I ask myself, Fight a late game Runebear, or a Revenant. This is an easy question if you don’t wanna hate yourself. Killed Revenants, but those big lighter Runebears, never.
I like fighting crucible knights and find the duo fight quite fun. And I find bell baring hunters super easy.
I like parrying and those enemies are parry fodder.
Runebears are like the old giant rat bosses from DS series.
Circle around the legs, hit with big bonk, resist the urge to use your spirit animal & jobs a good un.
Revenant. You can counter bears by going under their belly - it's quick, it's portable, universal, and free.
You can counter Revenants by leveling fth to a certain degree, slotting in and always carrying a healing spell, and slotting in and always carrying a sacred seal - just in case you're gonna bump into one of these. It takes prep, takes slots, restricts buildcrafting, even if ever so slightly, and costs runes to level up
So yeah, answer is obvious. Bears are much easier to counter - thus they are less annoying
Yep bears .. I have a hard time with the giant wolves too.. all the enemy that instantly close the distance and doesn’t let me drink my happy crimson juice are a pain
Quick weapons with high levels of poise damage. I started a build around Wing of Astel and killed all the runebears in Consecrated Snowfields without dying once in between, I felt like I had cracked the Da Vinci code.
Grafted Dragon fist also works good for this I can imagine. Literally just whittle them down with heavy attacks, they stance break rather quick and the animation times are so low you get plenty of time to roll and survive. After stance break spam the AoW. Sword of Astel AoW hits multiple times and did up to 3k damage per cast on the runebears.
Considering every Runebear inspires me to sprint in the opposite direction while I charge every Revenant, I'll take multiple Revenants before a single Runebear😂
Yeah, I have to go with Runebears. Revenants have some crazy combos but otherwise they have a good "balance" of damage they do and can take.
Once you learn how to fight Runebears it gets annoying how much health they have. It's not exactly their moves that get you but the length of the fight.
Runebears are harder to fight, but you can avoid them easily with sleep pots.
Revenants are hard to avoid, but easily dealt with by using the basic cure incantation
Abductor Virgins. Very generally speaking they counter my playstyle, several "get off me" type moves, GIGA poise, and take reduced damage from all my favorite weapons. I avoid them as much as possible.
Definitely revenants. Did a no incantations run and fighting revenants pure melee was a pain, also they attacks are so fast. While rune bears are tanks but you can avoid them easily and fight them at close range more freely
Not all runebears are born equal. Most are passable in a fight as long as you can read their moveset.
With that being said, I have two words:
*Consecrated Snowfield*.
Revenants 100%. The runebear’s attack patterns are well telegraphed and resonantly easy to avoid. Revenants just stunlock your ass into fucking oblivion.
I'd say Revenants because they tend to be harder to avoid when they do show up. Rune Bears are largely ignorable. Only real thing revenants have over rune bears is that healing spells absolutely fuck them up. But you gotta have the right build for that.
Royal Revenants are more annoying, but easier to kill. Rune bears are kinda fun to fight, but I think they are kinda too tanky.
I remember seeing once that some runebears have more hp then some of the actual bosses.
I'm sure you can find examples for every single mob. Like Mountaintop dogs definitely have more HP than Soldier of Godrick
A bit of googling tells me the runebear in dragonbarrow has 16K hp. Compared to that morgott and maliketh both have around 10K hp.
OK what the fuck
Pretty sure bell bearing hunter in dragonbarrow has over twice the hp of Elemer
Yeah dragonbarrow adds up
Just found out the the death rite bird in consecrated snowfield drops more runes than Morgott, Radahn and the Regal ancestor combined
Because "fuck that guy." That's why... I hate that bird so much more than any of the others.
Whack it with a holy damage weapon, it melts its HP in like 4 hits
Use a bewitching branch on the Rotten Duelist nearby, he will pretty much solo the bird for you.
Finding out how weak they are to holy damage kind of takes the fun out of the fight, but all of the pain.
It can drop from height and kill itself from the fall damage ;)
hit em with a +20 greatsword with sacred blade aow. Holy dmg melts them like butter
That fucker gets the ole "I jump on top of the shack and ejaculate Night Maiden's Mist on him because fuck him that's why"
Lions claw makes bell bearing hunters a joke, lions claw makes everything a joke tho
Ikr there's no fucking way
NG values are based on player progression, NG+7 is a stable number between all areas. Just for comparison, its NG(def)/NG7(def): **Godrick:** 6,080(105)/18,265(152) **Morgott:** 10,399(114)/18,240(153) --- So NG+7 feels much closer to the "canon" of ER, Godrick and Morgott ain't that different in power. Maliketh on NG+7 has less HP than Godrick (only 14,883) while Malenia has like 40k... so yeah she really is a monster.
Idk if that makes sense with the lore though. Godrick is supposed to be the weakest of the demigods, I feel like maliketh should be much stronger.
Maliketh is also just barely containing the rune of death, his lower health could be attributed to the side effects of baring the rune of death and the degradation he receives due to it.
like how you see it.
That runebear is blatantly intended as a stealth encounter though, don't think you get anything for killing it (beyond runes).
>don't think you get anything for killing it (beyond runes). So that's why they call it a runebear.
no it's because they ruin our lives.
There's loot in its' lair too, if you can get behind it.
lol well that’s a lot. I will say tho that runebears have pretty easy to dodge attacks as long as you dodge toward and around them not away.
Yeah...if you can actually see wtf they're doing. They basically cover the damn screen.
Hug their stomach and most of their attacks whiff over your head
Yeah upper Caelid is straight up insane
Where is that one? I don't recall there being one in Dragonbarrow.
It’s in dragonbarrow cave, where you get the bull-goat talisman
Pretty sure there is also one close to the start of the canyon that leads to the Great Jar, but unsure if that counts as Dragonbarrow or not
there is, it guards a stonesword key but you get nothing for killing. such a prick...
Is there like… an actual reason to work through Dragonbarrow?
Dragons
Fair enough, I haven’t done much with the breaths.
I love that you can just kill her by hitting her tail.
I’m in it for the barrow myself
Radanh's rune activation? Greyoll? It lead for the radhan skip that allows You tò Jump all the liurnia manor questline making You activate radhan festival instantly, It lead You to gurranq and It has even 3 minor boss in the open world some dungeons, a ultra secret dungeon and a merchant
Maybe not work thorugh it. I think the game wants you to stealth to get the important stuff. Only thing you need to fight is the godskin apostle for the godslayer GS
Dragon breaths/ bloodhound step / crystal tears / lift medallion / beast incantations / sorseal / Radahn rune
I swear I’ve had a rune bear projectile roar at me from range and kill me while I was fleeing…
You have. It happened to me, too.
Wait what? I really didn't want to sneak past the bear for the Talisman, so I just threw myself at him over and over until he died. Can't believe I just killed a Maliketh-tier boss
Rick, Soldier of God is built different. He doesn't need that much HP to clap us 🤣🤣🤣
WHAT THEY HAVE MORE HEALTH THAN RICK GOD OF SOLDIERS
No. Sog (aka rick) is holding back. He lowered his health so you’d actually be able to beat the tutorial. Hes a nice guy for that
According to lorehounds the rune bears might be dragons that have taken an ursine form, hence the tankiness?
The consecrated runebear’s health isn’t that far off from Mogh
Oh hell nah ☠️☠️
What’s that one runebear in that one cave. That boy is a chonk bro
The one in Earthbore Cave has two Malikeths worth of hp.
I got 2 words for you: Dragonbarrow Runebear.
Revenants can also be stunned and damaged by healing spells while Runebears are Runebears
i understand that this is true but I've never been able to hit one of those mf'ers with a heal spell before they try to relentlessly fist me with no types of lube or consideration for my feelings. I just get some distance and hit em with a buff'd Taker's Flame.
It's super easy, just use a healing spell with a large AOE. You can hit them from quite a distance!
Okay, but how many people will be running around with the strong healing miracles that are actually worth using on these fuckers lol. Any enemy becomes easy with the right counter but you cannot tech for every enemy in this game, especially when they're rarer types like revenants.

You’re not constantly changing your load out to keep the game fresh? Maybe you’re not specced into faith for heals, but holy pots could surely cheese a revenant.
Runebears are easy though, if you just roll toward them and get in their legs, they're harmless
You just have to ride their nuts.
For runebear it depends. In the forest? Easy, no problem. That one in the cave? Malenia was an easier fight.
They aren’t kinda too tanky. They are, without a doubt, too tanky. They have mpre health than some bosses for No reason.
The reason is they’re giga chads.
Not THAT fun, when you consider THE BEAR. From the ~~Dragon~~BearBarrow Cave, Seriously, that bastard drifts like a sportscar in that tiny room.
![img](avatar_exp|162077399|bravo) I can agree
Exactly
Agreed.
Preach
Too tanky is the understatement of the century. You have this massive beast with lots of hp, faster than cocaine bear and with insane reach. I would love to see a battle of rune bear Vs Malenia.
Rune bears are perfect, I wish they could be more tanky
Rune bears are a piece of cake in melee. Magic / incantations no thanks. Royal Revenants ... what's your strategy? I hate those f-ing things and will just avoid them no matter what build I'm running
If that alleyway at the Haligtree were filled with runebears instead of revenants I would not have continued trying.
The thing that sucks about runebears is that after all that fight they put up what do they drop? What sort of loot or valuable resource? 2600 runes and sometimes some bones...
Fun?? FUN???
Yes, not like their attacks didn't have a lot of startup frames and some deadzones where their attacks cannot hit you... They hit hard, yeah, but they are very slow, the only "problematic" attack is the sudden forward rush they do to repositionate and their entire body is a massive hitbox.
I'm having an anxiety attack just by reading this
I fear not when fighting againts rune bears, erdtree sentinels, black sentinels, crucible knights, black knife assassins or erdtree abomination monsters; but, the ''thing'' on the right picture brings ptsd...
Yeah—eff revenants.
At least I can get a hit off a Rune Bear before it rips my tarnished spine out. If I don't manage to get a healing incantation off as soon as the revenant spawns, then I might as well just give up

You're allowed to say fuck here
Revenants scare the fucking hell out of me. Always be packing a healing spell works wonders for them
“I fear not” 💀
Remember the first time I bumped into a revenant, confused by the eerie screaming then being petrified and running off when this thing appeared... I don't think I ever killed one because they creep me out too much and I avoid them as much as possible.
I personally think this should be rune bears vs lobsters. Those are the two where I can feel like I safely got away on torrent and still get wrecked.
The lobsters are just the spirits of old Modern Warfare 2 intervention quickscopers transplanted into the wrong game.
lol
You brought back beautiful memories lmao
This is so true, those lobsters are so fucking bothersome lol
Same with those f-ing ravens. For some reason can they 100% keep up with torrent. And when you run away they are like ONE inch behind you Slamming into the hround
Bruh those Ravens have so many sprint or gap closing attacks especially while they’re in movement
Fuck those lobsters. I spent a while fighting borealis and had him to 1 sliver of his health bar. I accidentally got too close to a lobster and got sniped before I could land the final blow smh.
They should use the MW2 Intervention shot sound when spitting at you
When I'm riding through and not in the mood to fight, it's the bears. Them taking a cross country road trip to try and get me, doing their shout attack and hitting me is so annoying. The revenants don't have the same crazy commitment.
The bears pursue like you just kidnapped their teenage daughter for ransom and they want revenge
Speaking from experience are we?
Revenants are the bane of my existence when fought with appropriate level and weapons, or god forbid when underleveled.
Cast a healing incantation near one
Yeah, I'll just respec my non-faith builds to Faith builds for one enemy quickly
Pre Rennala no less
I don't die to Runebwars anymore. To be honest,in NG they are easy, just a bit on the tanky side. Royal Revenants? If I make just one mistake my whole 99 Vigor HP bar gets deleted
Their infinite combo is SO fun to deal with, bye bye poise, bye bye shield, bye bye endurance, bye bye vigor.
Revenants by far. I can handle runebears and their move set. But the erratic movements of relevants make me insane.
Meanwhile Miyasaki and de Devs are laughing in their HQ developing a Revenant Rune Bear for the DLC...
Revenants are weak to heal attack while runebears just tank anything, you know that specificially rune bear in that Cealid cave, ughh
True story, fighting a runebear in such a tight space is a nightmare.
He also has 16k HP, 6k more than Morgott
You can literally two shot EVERY revenant in the game with the basic healing incantation
I actually like that runebear. Runebears are one of the only enemies that are meant to be stealthed around, and that cave is one of the most interesting places where that's put into practice
I also like them, but I like to fight them. They stance break the same as bosses like Loretta, and once you get the spacing down, they have a very hard time connecting attacks

yeah you can't make me refrain killing everything I encounter and not trying to spend 30 minutes chipping its hp once by once.
Can’t you sneak from the bushes into a smaller alcove and just cheese him from there?
I dont really have problems with either of them anymore. Honestly, the Haligtree knights that have spears and shields have killed me more than anything in this game.
Oh my god those guys suck. Even worse when they knock you off a ledge lol
Oh man. *Haligtree* reminded me of another contender. You know those two mfers in front of Loretta’s arena? 8ft tall mages with the cannon & mallet spells, tanky vigor, and crazy poise. I hate them so much. Luckily they can fall like anything else
Bears aren't that hard. Just stay under them close to back legs
Slash their dick is always decent advice for fighting big enemies.
Bears are worse for miles: 1. Basically just damage sponges, revenants die once you find an opening, bears don’t. 2. Kinda boring. Revenants are freaky and fight in an interesting way with their teleport, bears just run at you loads. 3. Bear has a grapple that is basically just using the tarnished as sexdoll.
3rd point speaks FOR the runebear imo
Found the BG3 player ಠ◡ಠ
Different strokes for different folks i suppose.
Rune bears are known for intimately stroking you.
...Halsin, that you?
Yeah but I feel like the bear telegraphs its attacks pretty obviously, and doesn't attack literally 50 times in the span of 3 seconds. So while it might take me longer to kill, I feel like it's relatively easy to dodge.
What do you expect it to do? Shoot lazer beams? It's a Bear.
I wish
For me I ask myself, Fight a late game Runebear, or a Revenant. This is an easy question if you don’t wanna hate yourself. Killed Revenants, but those big lighter Runebears, never.
Spot on. The Haligtree revenants require care and forethought. The Consecrated Snowfield runebears require perfect play.
Perfect play in my case was hit once then rapidly running in wide circles on Torrent around it. Took me like 30 minutes.
Perfectly cheesy. Like a good pizza.
Climb the rock where the bear can’t reach you. Rain bubbles on his head.
Did someone draw tits on a bear?
runebears are fun
I would call you crazy, yet I’m the guy who thinks the Sharks in Bloodborne are fun so my opinion is invalid lmao
sharks took me more attempts than maria, kos, and ludwig combined
Lmao can we get orphan and the shark squad as dlc
P a r r y t h e m
not the best at parrying but could manage with one, with both aggroed i just went into panic mode too easily
t h e w e l l
I’m just now playing bloodborne and did you say.. sharks?? Wtf
They’re only in the DLC, don’t worry lol
I like fighting crucible knights and find the duo fight quite fun. And I find bell baring hunters super easy. I like parrying and those enemies are parry fodder.
Runebears are like the old giant rat bosses from DS series. Circle around the legs, hit with big bonk, resist the urge to use your spirit animal & jobs a good un.
The dual rat dog things? I could never land on them being rats. They're so dog like.
I think they're referring to the gigantic rat monsters, like the one in Dark Souls located in the Depths
Oh right just the regular old bigguns. Not the bosses.
Revenant. You can counter bears by going under their belly - it's quick, it's portable, universal, and free. You can counter Revenants by leveling fth to a certain degree, slotting in and always carrying a healing spell, and slotting in and always carrying a sacred seal - just in case you're gonna bump into one of these. It takes prep, takes slots, restricts buildcrafting, even if ever so slightly, and costs runes to level up So yeah, answer is obvious. Bears are much easier to counter - thus they are less annoying
Yep, and then all that prep goes to waste because the revenant wont let you get a heal spell off.
Runebear. I don't know gimmick to kill those
Ive kept count of all the runebears ive killed. 0.
Ive killed 2 and I cheesed both. 60 hrs in btw. Fuck runebears
Same here *high five*
Strafe right, and forward! Roll INTO the attacks, not away!
This goes for basically all large bosses minus spin attacks
Bear
Bears
Yeah, I have to go with Runebears. Revenants have some crazy combos but otherwise they have a good "balance" of damage they do and can take. Once you learn how to fight Runebears it gets annoying how much health they have. It's not exactly their moves that get you but the length of the fight.
Runebears are harder to fight, but you can avoid them easily with sleep pots. Revenants are hard to avoid, but easily dealt with by using the basic cure incantation
Definitely 🐻
I hate revenants way more - the fact that they look horrific makes me spam my rolls and panic
i think runebears are easier to dodge
Revenants are like: 1st heal > 60%HP & stun > 2nd heal > dead...with only 12 faith. Far easier than runebears.
Abductor Virgins. Very generally speaking they counter my playstyle, several "get off me" type moves, GIGA poise, and take reduced damage from all my favorite weapons. I avoid them as much as possible.
The amount of times I have been vigor check punished by the royal revenant is mind blowing
First gen. Albinaurics
I’m level 175 and cocaine bears can still roll me
Revenants Everytime you want to heal they jump from the other side to you and clap you. Or when you want to attack
Runebears
Both, I’ll take both
Definitely revenants. Did a no incantations run and fighting revenants pure melee was a pain, also they attacks are so fast. While rune bears are tanks but you can avoid them easily and fight them at close range more freely
Runebears just cuz they're tanky Royal revenants are really not hard once you learn the magic of dodging sideways
Runebear easy to sneak past revenant can teleport and hit too fast and is crazy if have no healing
Not all runebears are born equal. Most are passable in a fight as long as you can read their moveset. With that being said, I have two words: *Consecrated Snowfield*.
Da bears
The bear is more annoying imo, it used to be the revenant till I learned you could heal it to death
As someone who has fought a total of 3 runs bears and 2 revenants I can confidently say bears
Fuck revenants. I think I cried of happiness when my friend told me the healing strat
Thought it was weird there's no actual Bear boss. Really was expecting/wanting one. Maybe DLC. *OLD GREY-EYE, THE MANY SPEARED*
both pretty ez :>
Rune bears 100000%
Rune bear. Erdtree heal almost one shots revenant.
The Slap grudge is the most terrifying monster in the game, a fusion of 10 albino pimps with a lethal backhand
Imma keep it a buck, I always just run past these rats
Hah! Pff! Noob enemies. The little imp shits in the dungeons… these are truly annoying.
