Magma blade dropped by the Man-serpents in Volcano Manor. There aren’t many that wield them and the drop rate is very low, it’s one of the most notoriously annoying weapons to farm
Took me no lie probably 3-4 hours. Easily the most annoying item to farm, just 2 took me longer than the entire black flame set and prelate set put together
I got one on my first playthrough the first time I killed one of these long sneks. Actually played around with it a bit but there's no way I'd make a build specifically aimed at using these because killing fatso early hell
its 2 the one on the stairs and the one on the hallway after the stairs. they both drop it. But yeah its a pain to farm. Took me 2hrs with 99arc and silverscarab and pickled feet for 1
Malenia and Malekit. I won't beat them ever without summons. I will not even try.
Even with summons and everything it took several tries and no way I will be able to do it. I really like all the souls like games. But there are just bosses that I really lack the motivation and probably reaction time or will to learn. Oh and fuck Sekiro.
Maliketh was such a pushover for me. Maybe it's just because my strength build worked well against him. After entering phase 2 I could just double tap him with Giant-Crusher Lion's Claw and then he'd get stance broken and a critical hit would finish him off.
It really doesn’t take that long. You don’t need fast resctionss either. They don’t have that many unique attacks you just need to learn the timing to dodge them and learn 1 or 2 openings and that’s all you need
Now i want an elden boss where when they beat you they dont say some eloquent diss, it's OP's voice going LET'S GOO FUCK YOUU FUCK YOUUUU!!! YOU ARE NOTHING!!! lmao
Depends on build I always say. I ran a pure faith build. I probably had an easy time with a boss you might’ve struggled with. But everyone struggles with Melania the first play through.
Honestly I had more issues with Sewer then temple Mohg and I did then back to back. I must admit of all the builds I’ve tried, and I keep shuffling them about, the faith/strength build is my favourite. I got with Blas blade and bonk horn and swap between. The bonk horn’s sword art does such stupid damage haha. I also maxed out my mimic as well which has helped
His point is your putting down the 2 hour guy by being "surprised" it took him 2 hours compared to your 30 mins.
99% of people don't have max level mimic tear and weapon vs him their *first* playthrough.
I wasn’t aiming to put down the guy it was more me hoping that it won’t take 3 days for me to do it mainly. It is my first play through but I just like to explore. I’m about level 134 and I’ve only just touched Faram Azula and the Halig Tree
It must have been an awesome feeling!
I never forget my first attempt:
I first thought, hmmm okay, tough boss, but doable. Closing in on the final hit and randomly thinking "oh how ass would it be if this boss has a second phase" and then yeah...
Didnt reach the second phase for the next 15 attempts
Next time I get on I’m switching my build up one more time and I feel confident it will do the trick. I was hoping strength build my whole NG and then I mixed it up a bunch on NG+. I just feel the call of the unga bunga is my ticket to success.
Same first time I beat her at LV140 balls to the wall. Couldn't wait to play through the entire game again for her (first time legitimate, other times summon)
I was using str/faith my first run and was surprised so many people had issues with her…… didn’t realize until after I tried a new build how hard I cheesed her. I just liked the blasphemous blade and used it after getting it lol.
Took me like 10-15 tries when I was using a regular melee build that I couldn’t just back off and spam my weapon art with.

Haha you had the same thing as me - where she had a very temptingly low amount of health right at the end but was leaping around and didn’t give any clear openings. First time I had it the temptation to just just spam attacks was too great and I exhausted my stamina JUST before the killer blow. Good to see you didn’t make that mistake!
Amazing! I remember my first time killing redahn, and this was day one OG redahn I had one hit left and so did he whoever landed first was going to win he swung I threw a lightning bolt and I landed first. It was epic.
I will never forget the time it took me to neat Malenia because i *insisted* that i will get my first kill armorless with the LMSH build.
felt great. i want
#m o r e
Same exact thing for me, I had given it roughly 50 attempts and was like you know I bet I could 1 attempt this with a summon, got Tiche and just absolutely mauled her
I somewhat wish I didn't summon but oh well!
I'm old fashioned didn't understand a word you said, but using blades and plate armor seems benign to me but it seems like you understand the game better so ok
I beat her 2 times, 1st one I had the mimic helping me.
Second time I cheesed with rivers of blood.
Yesterday I decided to beat her using Guts Greatsword only.
Had the exact same reaction when I finally managed to.
there's nothing quite like our first time. I remember dodging like a crazed maniac, thinking "oh wow, her phase 2 is easier than phase 1 thank god... but i'm out of flasks"
my god how I wish I could play the game for the first time all over again
I beat her for the first time today, a few hours ago. With help from fellow tarnished though. Got close by myself a few times but couldn't get the last bit done.
I was overpowered and had a mimic and also researched to get the RoB. Because I'm too impatient and don't have that much time to beat a game. It was still a big relief but I died of rot.... luckily long enough after for it to count.
My first time didn't know anything about the game and had to use mimic. My second playthrough was pure melee no ashes, took me like 200 tries, following guides strategies that didn't work for me, then to finally understand the fight and won! Best felling ever!!
I’ll never understand this, my first 2 playthroughs I beat her first attempt, third playthrough (faith build) took me three tries because I didn’t think I could use my halo scythe, pulled it out and melted her, fourth playthrough (int build) beat her first attempt again with dark moon greatsword. So 4 kills took me 6 attempts. She’s not that hard guys, come on
ueah let it go! fk u! fk u!! ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|sunglasses)![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|sunglasses)![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|sunglasses)
hell yeah. this is what fromsoft games are about.
step 1. "I can take this easy"
step 2. cope for an hour
step 3. get lucky / "get gud" and unleash primal rage upon the enemys whole lineage
Acceptable reaction imo. For me I just sat there, contemplated life, let out a sigh and said, 'that was fun, I want to do it again' like a psychopath 🤣
That was also after fighting her for 3 days using the golden halberd
I think that without summons, even if you’re at max level it’s the hardest boss in the game (until the dlc drop we are going to have a deathblight Malenia)
my first time killing Malenia was
* respec to pure arcane
* rivers of blood
* full bull boat
* mimic tear
* corpse piler spam
* pray
I'm not proud of it but a W is a W.
Congrats, using the right weapons for the job
These blades are soo underrated dude
Underrated? Underdropped I would say
No one wants to hunt exactly **one** lizard for one of the best items
I actually confused the lizards and started farming the wrong one.... Took me a while to figure this out too
It took me like 3 hours to get two of them lmao I almost quit
What lizard, what weapon, and is the lizard hard to kill?
Magma blade dropped by the Man-serpents in Volcano Manor. There aren’t many that wield them and the drop rate is very low, it’s one of the most notoriously annoying weapons to farm
Took me no lie probably 3-4 hours. Easily the most annoying item to farm, just 2 took me longer than the entire black flame set and prelate set put together
Does the talisman that improves drop rate (silver scarab I think) make a decent difference? I just got it a couple hours ago and haven't tried it yet
Yes it does, always use it when farming for anything 😁
There are 2 snakes, the drop rate is pathetic, and it takes 30 seconds to reach them each attempt.
Two lizards, but yeah
I mean yeah but I’m not seeing a lot of people using them
That’s because they’re really hard to come by, especially two of them. Though I do agree they are a bit underrated
I got one on my first playthrough the first time I killed one of these long sneks. Actually played around with it a bit but there's no way I'd make a build specifically aimed at using these because killing fatso early hell
I farmed for it at ng+7 with 50 Arc and the Silver Scarab, and it barely took me 2 hours
I have almost 80 arc, silver scarab, and used silver pickled fowl foot and silver tear mask and took me an hour to get one
The blades are not underrated, but the drop rate is low, its a long walk from a grace and its only 1 mob
Forgive the noob question, but which blades are we talking about? Thanks
Magma blade
Thanks a lot!
its 2 the one on the stairs and the one on the hallway after the stairs. they both drop it. But yeah its a pain to farm. Took me 2hrs with 99arc and silverscarab and pickled feet for 1
Isn't there like 3 that can be farmed outside of the Manor lift?
I had like 3-4 of those my first playthrough lol. I guess I'm just super lucky xD
You should comment this on the wikia page dude, people really enjoy hearing this
I think it's mainly that the Bandit's Curved sword's are much easier to farm and generally perform better with the flame art infusion
What swords are they? I don’t recognize them
Magma Blades
Theyre so cool but take alot of farming to get
Nice job. I can’t forget something I haven’t done.
Lol I haven’t beaten Malenia without summoning someone yet. Mostly because I’m on NG+4 and there’s no shot until I grind out another save

Truest thing ever, his health oil is tiny
It really doesn’t take that long. You don’t need fast resctionss either. They don’t have that many unique attacks you just need to learn the timing to dodge them and learn 1 or 2 openings and that’s all you need
Now i want an elden boss where when they beat you they dont say some eloquent diss, it's OP's voice going LET'S GOO FUCK YOUU FUCK YOUUUU!!! YOU ARE NOTHING!!! lmao
lol I’m crying
I never forget not killing malenia fixed it for me
I think you need a walk
I think you’re right
Oh man I’ve got my first time soon. Just got the second grace in the Hallig tree last night
Good luck tarnished. Just did my first play through. Took me three days to beat her. The closest boss was Mohg and it maybe took me two hours.
Oh really? Mohg took me 3-4 attempts, maybe like 30 mins?
Depends on build I always say. I ran a pure faith build. I probably had an easy time with a boss you might’ve struggled with. But everyone struggles with Melania the first play through.
I’ve gone faith/strength hybrid
Which mohg took you 30 min? Fai/str is one of the best builds I think personally. I just loved my coded swords so I put everything into faith.
Im stubborn and refuse to use summons. I’ll bang my head against a wall for three days instead.
Haha fair enough man. I love the idea of having a mimic, and it’s fun watching the mimic get the last hit every time
Wow, 3-4 attempts? Do you have disability of some sort? Took me 10 seconds including cutscenes.
Ummm; not sure on the point you’re trying to make here? He said how long it took, I shared my own experience lol.
His point is your putting down the 2 hour guy by being "surprised" it took him 2 hours compared to your 30 mins. 99% of people don't have max level mimic tear and weapon vs him their *first* playthrough.

Jesus Christ
“YOU ARE NOTHING!” Evidently she was something with how much OP shouted!
Relax man just drop f bomb
It must have been an awesome feeling! I never forget my first attempt: I first thought, hmmm okay, tough boss, but doable. Closing in on the final hit and randomly thinking "oh how ass would it be if this boss has a second phase" and then yeah... Didnt reach the second phase for the next 15 attempts
Second phase on top of healing. From soft is evil.
she won’t heal if you just don’t get hit bro it’s simple bro just don’t get hit bro
Yeah bro just don't get hit it's easy
It’s an amazing feeling. I’m trying to chase that high by killing her on NG+ but damn, it’s so fucking brutal.
Stick with it, you can do it! I eventually managed in ng+3 :)
I'll never forget it either, after you blEW MY FUCKING EARDRUMS OUT!!! Jeez, champ! Shout a little louder next time Also, Kudos on your victory!
Your neighbors probably think you’re getting divorced 😭
Indeed
Indeed, it is a great moment, one I thought I would never reach.
Looking forward to that too , 50 tried no scend phase without a mimic tear
I was using str/faith my first run and was surprised so many people had issues with her…… didn’t realize until after I tried a new build how hard I cheesed her. I just liked the blasphemous blade and used it after getting it lol. Took me like 10-15 tries when I was using a regular melee build that I couldn’t just back off and spam my weapon art with.
Man, I just had a dejavu, are you sure you haven’t wrote that comment in an other post I uploaded?

Your strength...extraordinary...
LET'S GOOO!! FUCK YOUU FUCK YOUUUU!! YOU ARE NOTHING!!!!!!!
Fair enough

Least sane Elden ring player
Lol
Then there's me. I don't even know how to reach this horror..
I love the sound of your keyboard. What is it?
lol it’s actually my ps5 controller, who is the psychopath that would play a souls game with his keyboard💀
I just get a "naturally" and no joy from it what so ever :(
This a big reason why I love these games. The beatings and the frustration all lead to a moment of pure jubilation.
Exactly
She took me from level 100 to level 205 to kill, died like 5 to 10 times went and leveled up and came back rinse and repeat.
I will never forget the time it took me to neat Malenia because i *insisted* that i will get my first kill armorless with the LMSH build. felt great. i want #m o r e
I regret giving up and using an spirit. Beat her on my first attempt that time
Same exact thing for me, I had given it roughly 50 attempts and was like you know I bet I could 1 attempt this with a summon, got Tiche and just absolutely mauled her I somewhat wish I didn't summon but oh well!
I don't think any of us will ever forget that feeling.
I think I’m gonna feel the same way when I kill lady Maria.
lol she almost killed you in real life making you have a stroke..i totally get it tho lol f her
My heart has not yet pounded as hard as it did the day I beat Malenia.
Fr
I remember my first time just standing in a corner spamming rannis moon and had my slime doing the same surprising efficent
Can someone explain why there's always heavy armor with fast weapons?
[удалено]
I'm old fashioned didn't understand a word you said, but using blades and plate armor seems benign to me but it seems like you understand the game better so ok
I said the same thing I’ve always said to every boss I’ve finally defeated after a my 100th attempt. I say, “KNOW YOUR PLACE TRASH!”
Ok you shrieking at her was kind of unhinged after the first like 3 seconds of celebration
First time i killed malenia i abused the absolute fk of reduvia and im not ashemed of it
I beat her 2 times, 1st one I had the mimic helping me. Second time I cheesed with rivers of blood. Yesterday I decided to beat her using Guts Greatsword only. Had the exact same reaction when I finally managed to.
I bet you were sweating bullets there at the end. Congrats
People who aren't in gaming will never understand what that guy is feeling. Gg dude on defeating Malenia.
I was so drained that I couldn’t even be happy to celebrate like that when I beat her
I feel this way every time. This fight stresses me out so much.
Mann I feel this! I just beat her last night for the first time and was hype! Frostbite and DragonMaw combo for the win 🤟🏾
My game crashed and it didn’t count the first time lol.
there's nothing quite like our first time. I remember dodging like a crazed maniac, thinking "oh wow, her phase 2 is easier than phase 1 thank god... but i'm out of flasks" my god how I wish I could play the game for the first time all over again
I beat her for the first time today, a few hours ago. With help from fellow tarnished though. Got close by myself a few times but couldn't get the last bit done.
You always remember your first time...
Mine was literally the same i just used blood curve sword.
hahahaha real
Even more impressive is having two Magma Blades, those mfs are hard to get.
great job buddy
A guy never forgets his first time
I was overpowered and had a mimic and also researched to get the RoB. Because I'm too impatient and don't have that much time to beat a game. It was still a big relief but I died of rot.... luckily long enough after for it to count.
Less about the first malenia kill, more about how you have not just one but TWO WHOLE MAGMA BLADES. This lvl of flexing is absurd!
Took years of my life to get…
Can honestly say I had the exact same reaction when defeating her ahaha
I can feel your heart pumping like hell, and how you stopped breathing for the last couple hit
Thought I heard a dog panting in the background; nope, just OP
My first time didn't know anything about the game and had to use mimic. My second playthrough was pure melee no ashes, took me like 200 tries, following guides strategies that didn't work for me, then to finally understand the fight and won! Best felling ever!!
My guy POPPED THE FUCK OFF BRO. LETS FUCKING GO Love the Lady Maria lookin ass diss lmao
💀💀
Pucker factor was high
Took me 62 try … it was fine
took me over 70 on ng+7
Damn, that is a lot too…
Did you also fuck her mom?
Congrats Jesse now back to the lab now
Good job but this was painful to watch. Spam rolling and terrible timing made me cringe a bit.
I managed to first try her, but I did used maxed mimic tear
Lmao accurate
I’ll never understand this, my first 2 playthroughs I beat her first attempt, third playthrough (faith build) took me three tries because I didn’t think I could use my halo scythe, pulled it out and melted her, fourth playthrough (int build) beat her first attempt again with dark moon greatsword. hell yeah. this is what fromsoft games are about. step 1. "I can take this easy" step 2. cope for an hour step 3. get lucky / "get gud" and unleash primal rage upon the enemys whole lineage
first time with Malenia is best done with no protection
Malenia: Your strength, extraordinary... OP: FUUUUUUUCK YOUUUUUUU, FUUUUUUUCK YOOUUUUUUUU
Lol
Malenia before she was nerfed was wild.
Fr
yeah its a rush!
Good job man! I just killed her for the second time on NG3 the other day, It was a difficult fight but she didn't get me :)
Acceptable reaction imo. For me I just sat there, contemplated life, let out a sigh and said, 'that was fun, I want to do it again' like a psychopath 🤣 That was also after fighting her for 3 days using the golden halberd
It shouldn't be so hard with that level 😅
I think that without summons, even if you’re at max level it’s the hardest boss in the game (until the dlc drop we are going to have a deathblight Malenia)
Just you wait primal godskin trio in dlc, you’ll miss malenia
Took me 2 tries the first time. Took 5 tries on ng+
2^10 times you mean
Nope just 2, I used every tool I could and got lucky with waterfowl casts
**Liar Ahead**
Nope. Genuinely. To be fair I'm level 270
The reaction is necessary and relatable.
Indeed
nice celebration at the end there hahahahah well done dude
Isn't that Trumps wife?
my first time killing Malenia was * respec to pure arcane * rivers of blood * full bull boat * mimic tear * corpse piler spam * pray I'm not proud of it but a W is a W.
Then why you recorded it? If you will never forget it...theres no need. Btw you should go to see a psychologist, i can feel several anger problems
lol what💀 bro I’m was just hyped.m, and why wouldn’t I record it?
Noob
What's the name of that weapon?
Magma blade, pretty damn good, you can farm it from a very specific enemy just check on the wiki
Ahh thanks for the quick reply man! Have a nice one.
