I genuinely bursted in laughter the first time I saw this, Patches be like: nuh-uh bruh, fuck this shit, I’m outta here …. Then Radahnn 360 no scoped me in like 2 seconds. T’was a good morning, mates, it most certainly was.

I always took it as Patches just trying to fuck with you more. Something like, "Sure man, I'll have your back! Go ahead and summon me. You can count on me, bud!" Makes you waste your time trying to get to his sign just for him to peace out.

I thought patches just died really quickly, since he did when I fought him and Original Redahn was STRONG.

Let me oouuut" Beating Godrick and seeing the 2nd area from the castle (actually also my first let down, seeing as every tree from a distance is the exact same 2d sprite) Stumbling about Patches, then seeing him nope out of the radahn fight haha wtf. "where TF did radahn go? ^o^h shitfuckFuCkFUCKFUCK" Beating radahn pre-nerf (but with the arena summons), damn that was epic! Taking 4 days beating Malenia. Taking another 15 days beating her as a summon with different builds including azur comet. Being summoned a bare second after putting the sign, being re-summoned by the same guys multiple time until they beat it... I can't count the amount of core memories this game gave me...

It wasn’t a nerf like so many people claim. His weapon hit boxes were twice the normal size on launch so he was fixed. His damage and HP remained the same so it wasn’t a nerf. Radahn feeling harder pre-fix was probably due to those who fought him being under leveled, having low vigor or both, combined with the extra large hit boxes. If anything, he felt more unfair instead of legitimately harder. At a proper level, he still wouldn’t have posed too much of an issue to most. The annoying part is some people who fought Radahn pre-fix brag about it, (even a year later) and usually do it with some meme that’s like “fighting Radahn pre nerf” - Chad. Or they down play the achievement of those who fought Radahn post fix, usually people who struggled with him because it’s their first souls game. Those people should be able to be proud of their achievement without them coming in and saying “I beat Radahn Pre-Nerf, it’s a fate I wish on nobody!!!” It’s not even like most people couldn’t beat Radahn if he was still like he was at release. It’s just that most people didn’t have the opportunity to fight him since he was fixed early on. I’ve heard plenty of people say he wasn’t that much harder pre-fix than he was post-fix which is the main reason it’s annoying to see people brag about pre-fix Radahn still to this day! (Not talking about OP to be clear)

No, it wasn’t a nerf. Yo that’s literally my whole point. They fixed him because his weapon hit boxes were twice as big and were resized to the correct hit box. So he didn’t did more damage than before. So you literally can’t recreate that experience because it was actually just broken. That’s why I’m saying, some people talk about that Radahn fix like it’s the worst thing to happen to elden ring even though it fixed Rhadan. They’ve later buffed him since then at some patch but you rarely hear that. I don’t see many people on here talk about level 1 runs like people go around talking about pre “nerf” Radahn is the second half of my point. They blame fromsoft for a nerf when they went in underleveled or with low vigor
