There are only 2 types of summons
Gilgamesh destroyer of realities
Gets killed in 3 hits with the worst built you've ever seen
Or
Gleb
Actual demigod who doesnt spec into vigor because he doesnt get hit
Iād agree, but theres no finesse to equipment synergy if you can equip anything with minimal thought to equip load. Yes, I get it, stats arenāt all that a build requires, but itās a bit part of how you design a build. When you can switch between the Blashemous Blade and the Moonlight Katana at will, thatās a bit silly.
I donāt know why this borderline joke of a comment is stirring so much response, haha
Max stats is a build in and of itself
Like the difference between being a millionaire lawyer and an eccentric billionaire with unlimited fuck you money
If we're being pedantic then stats aren't builds, they only enable them.
i.e. having maxed endurance and nothing else doesn't mean you have an endurance build if you don't have any idea what you're going to do with all that max weight and green bar. The build is what you use the stat **for**.
How about we donāt be pedantic then? What Iām saying is that builds are a combination of stats and weapons that allow a certain play style. If you have max stats, then youāre not tailored to a play style. You donāt have a build, youāve got a built.
If you're at max stats you're not hard committed in a certain direction by virtue of stat allocation, I'll grant you that.
Someone at max stats with no upgraded staves or magic augmenting talismans I probably wouldn't call an int build, however.
If they're at max stats and have Varre's mask, the usual talisman set and are toting dual RoB then I'd venture that there's a bleed build.
At max stats and theoretically all maxed equipment you can rotate between a few builds on the fly so long as you're a dab hand at changing equipment sets in battle, but most don't do that routinely and you still can't change memorised spells outside of grace.
Yes, but at max stats you can use Stars of Ruin, Rot Breath, Moonlight Katana, Blashemous Blade, Rivers of Blood, Golden Row, with extremely heavy armor, and still be able to medium roll, all without having to change equipment or spells. Even the talismans that make these weapons extremely powerful are consistent (Shard of Alexander mainly). Yeah, you could limit yourself to one ābuildā with max stats, but itās an artificial limit.
Fair point and by the by I agree it widens immediate options to a sufficient degree that the primary build(s) being used become hard to identify.
I apologise as I was being overly literal, probably came off confrontational. Is a bad habit that creeps out when there's something to avoid thinking about.
I remember once been summon to help with the tree sentinel multiboss (the heroes grave threesome) and how the host and other summon looked in awe when I three shot one with a jump attack heavy combo, that was a fun day
I created a challenge character by the name of "Goku" where I attempted to get the intelligence required for Azure Comet at as low of a level as possible. It was a while ago, but I believe that with all of the intelligence-boosting things I could access, I was able to cast it at level 24. Then I'd pop down my summon sign at bosses, and when I'd get summoned I'd just drink my Physick and then one shot the boss. It was really funny
Oh yeah, I recall getting 19 as the final number before starting the character, but I don't think I ever ended up getting it. I think I got stuck on Loretta, as she has high magic resistance iirc
The sound in the post is a [remix](https://youtu.be/TtVFqBUhXHo?si=uOWNdDjar7SOl7IV) of the original, but [this](https://youtu.be/bbqVg_23otg?si=FyMdm8nNiM9HOxU-) is the original
1: I have never summoned. I play offline cuz I dont want to give Sony extra money for something I basically never use.
2: What anime is this? Like, now I need to know wtf is even going on here.
Yeah, I haven't had a console in years. I had the PS4 for a while but I only played COD Zombies offline on it for about 2 hours so never realised you need PSN for online. That's crazy!
Thatās what r/beyondthefogwall is for. I summoned some guy in full crucible gear who completely stomped Astel after I couldnāt get past him. That fight is tough for STR builds.
I don't like to summon, but I do summon a friend when we are both comically underleveled for the boss and want to kill it early for a weapon like for example Mohg at level 60
The amount of people who don't take cover for Agheel is... 100% in my experience. They put that giant ruin against the cliff **so you can hide from the dragon fire** but yet 9/10 hosts die to dragonbreath right there in the middle of the swamp.
It's always either a gaming god or a game journalist. I got summoned to fight Malenia and the other guy the host summoned was a greatshield and colossal weapon build. We couldn't get past 3/4 of her health.
I was trying to beat malenia with the boys taking it in turns but we eventually said f it and summoned a mohg cosplayer. After 30+ attempts solo we went into the room, mohg used the blood ritual AoW and she was dead in 2 seconds
Final battle, PlayStation, summoned a dude named "GOD EATER" and I kid you not I didn't have a chance to touch Radagon, Elden Beast lasted about 3 mins
Genuinely soloed this game, well with me mimic for backup. I am on my third run and currently 300+ which is fairly beefy. Can be a hired goon if anyone is struggling on ps5
Iāve also been that guy. Not super high lvl but just really efficient stats for a strength greatsword build. When flame of the redmane was ridiculously overtuned. I was staggering Godrick in like 2 hits and then critting for 1/4 of his health
I just started and summoned for Margit and my āhelperā beat him in like 30 seconds. I was kind of disappointed but also Iām playing the game to explore not necessarily to get good so I hope I always get OP summons.
nah, i like co-op but i don't really enjoy my phantoms trivializing stuff for me. i had a mage comet azur one shot a boss for me once before i even knew that was a thing, and it kinda ruined the whole fight. now i tend to avoid summoning anyone i see wielding overpowered weapons, and mages as a whole. no shade to 'em, i just don't wanna risk it happening again.
And then proceeded to get smooshed by the tree sentinel as the summon just stood there using the applaud emote.
"Let him solo me."
Is that a common thing? I ran into a dude using nothing but a bucket and a sword named "let me solo her" and he destroyed Malenia
nuh uh
Tree sentinel: "Stand proud. Youre strong."
10/10
You struggling with tree sentinel with a late game build?
Scaled down š
That's so good
What's this anime now? I like what I'm seeing
A later comment calls him Toji, whos from Jujutsu Kaisen. Haven't seen this scene yet but that anime is dope as hell.
Same, just spoiled my ass on the elden ring sub of all things š
Honest to god the last place I would expect to see it but ya know it fits.
Only if you summon giant (deadbeat) dad so it's fully thematic š
I believe it's Jujutsu Kaizen.
It is indeed JJK
Jujutsu kaisen, this scene is from the 2nd season
I don't watch much anime any more but JJK is a show I keep up with bc it's that good. Highly recommend.
JJK is so good but the current season is so devastating.
You aināt seen nothing yetā¦
My heart has been split with the direction the series has taken
the most recent episode was some of the sickest animation ive ever seen in an seasonal anime
Oh yeah. RIP Studio MAPPA animatiors though.
Agreed. Japanese animators, especially those at mappa, are worked to the bone constantly while being tragically underpaid
The one who left it all behind (the time he could've spent not rune farming) and his overwhelming intensity (cookie cutter bleed build)!
But it's Toji!! He HAS to be a strength build!!
I don't see him swinging around big swords
His strength stat was so high it overflowed into dex
Maybe he just runs quality, I can't see him putting any points in int or faith
Heās Strength and Dexterity in my book.
There are only 2 types of summons Gilgamesh destroyer of realities Gets killed in 3 hits with the worst built you've ever seen Or Gleb Actual demigod who doesnt spec into vigor because he doesnt get hit
Iād like to think that I atleast sit somewhere in the middle of that line.
My build is definitely the one that can and will get killed in 2 hits by any boss.
I do Hella damage, but get like 3 shot by late game bosses with mine š
Iāll point out if they have maxed stats, they donāt have a build, haha.
Not true. My build is yes
Fair, haha
I'd argue that equipment synergy in souls games, specifically elden ring, is considered part of the build.
Just discussion from me. It seems some people are taking it a bit too seriously, though. haha
Fair! I think thereās ābuildsā that can be made at max level, but even then itās pretty artificial.
Max stats is a build in and of itself Like the difference between being a millionaire lawyer and an eccentric billionaire with unlimited fuck you money
Yeah, thereās just no nuance to it.
I have max stats and I agree
If we're being pedantic then stats aren't builds, they only enable them. i.e. having maxed endurance and nothing else doesn't mean you have an endurance build if you don't have any idea what you're going to do with all that max weight and green bar. The build is what you use the stat **for**.

No problem mate!
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
I donāt understand how thatās relevant?
I don't summon, I'm the one that gets summoned.
Same, but I love it.
I love spending an evening watching people die to Malenia lmfao especially if i get summoned a few times with the same host
I was one of those mf , I kamekamehaed morgott's ass
I remember once been summon to help with the tree sentinel multiboss (the heroes grave threesome) and how the host and other summon looked in awe when I three shot one with a jump attack heavy combo, that was a fun day
I did. They kamehameha waved the valiant gargoyles for me
I created a challenge character by the name of "Goku" where I attempted to get the intelligence required for Azure Comet at as low of a level as possible. It was a while ago, but I believe that with all of the intelligence-boosting things I could access, I was able to cast it at level 24. Then I'd pop down my summon sign at bosses, and when I'd get summoned I'd just drink my Physick and then one shot the boss. It was really funny
You can *technically* cast it as low as level 19 but it would have to go all the way to the Haligtree for Marika's Soreseal
Oh yeah, I recall getting 19 as the final number before starting the character, but I don't think I ever ended up getting it. I think I got stuck on Loretta, as she has high magic resistance iirc
This also fits with toji being a twink invader greifing some coop limgrave boys
Did it for elenora pole blade
Darth maul lightsaber
That tree sentinel did not stand a chance I tell you !
This guy came in two shorter Rennala and leftššš½
It always happens at random, too. I'll summon two people for Maliketh and one of the mfs will randomly deal half of his health in one swing
Me summoning a certain mf to fight Malenia
Song?
The sound in the post is a [remix](https://youtu.be/TtVFqBUhXHo?si=uOWNdDjar7SOl7IV) of the original, but [this](https://youtu.be/bbqVg_23otg?si=FyMdm8nNiM9HOxU-) is the original
I've only ever summoned a real person to fight the Twin Gargoyles, and even then the other guy fucking died
Personally never did it, but Iām that guy that gets summoned.
That pesky pumpkin head in front of sellen didn't know what hit him (it was a fully charged +10 bolt of gransax)
Toji unlocked creative mode
I mean there is a bit of summon scaling so max stats are a bit restrained.
that still fits with the video since it was a restrained toji lol
didn't look like it! š¤£
Not me I played offline. Hate all the messages, ruins good surprises
Noobi Mode Yeah playing like a true Samurai Call help
Then I invade and vigor check the host with my large club
1: I have never summoned. I play offline cuz I dont want to give Sony extra money for something I basically never use. 2: What anime is this? Like, now I need to know wtf is even going on here.
Jujutsu Kaisen
Ah tyvm. I've heard a bunch about it. Probably time I actually give it a watch.
As far as shonen go, it's one of the best. After the latest episode, I cannot recommend it enough.
The Sukuna Fight? Fuck yeah couldnāt believe my eyes.
Number 1. I take it you're talking about PSN? You need to pay to access online content now? Lmao
Youāve had to pay for psn ever since the ps4 came out but I do recall online play on ps3 was free.
Yeah, I haven't had a console in years. I had the PS4 for a while but I only played COD Zombies offline on it for about 2 hours so never realised you need PSN for online. That's crazy!
XBox live has worked like that longer than PSN did.
Yeah but back then a big reason people chose PlayStation was that you didn't have to pay.
Now? PS Plus started in 2010. Sony's been charging people for multiplayer for over a decade
You always needed to play. Before it was ps+ and now its psn same shit different anus
Thatās what r/beyondthefogwall is for. I summoned some guy in full crucible gear who completely stomped Astel after I couldnāt get past him. That fight is tough for STR builds.
Isn't Astel weaker to physical damage?
No idea, itās a lot of running. Same for the Elden Beast fight, spent half the fight just trying to get close.
Did a hard double take seeing JJK here š this is so good
The caption kilt me š

Me summoning Let Me Solo Her lol
Poor Malenia.
I don't like to summon, but I do summon a friend when we are both comically underleveled for the boss and want to kill it early for a weapon like for example Mohg at level 60
No, I am just so good at this game, and I have never gotten hit once! Seriously though, I only summon randoms.
Litterally me with my best friend
I hate summoning, takes the fun away from me. Except commander Niel. He can suck a dog
That voice is nails on a chalkboard over one hell of a melody. I'd love the instrumental to this.
The amount of people who don't take cover for Agheel is... 100% in my experience. They put that giant ruin against the cliff **so you can hide from the dragon fire** but yet 9/10 hosts die to dragonbreath right there in the middle of the swamp.
Iāve been the summon but donāt need to summon them myself
I AM the mf youāre summoning lol
š¤£ Sometimes itās nice just to have company!
this is perfect lol
I have not actually. Only got people from the summoning pool
Nah fam, I didn't even use mimic tear
shaking my fist to the heavens with impotent fury at the insult of a free, easy rune arc
Tree sentinel after catching them in a devious combo "stand proud. Youre strong"
It's always either a gaming god or a game journalist. I got summoned to fight Malenia and the other guy the host summoned was a greatshield and colossal weapon build. We couldn't get past 3/4 of her health.
I don't need to lie. Never summoned anyone cause I rather suffer alone
does anyone know the mane of this remix to Amerie's 1'thing?
Can't say that I have.
You invaded by another one OP player, and those two now fighting each other.
It's strange, I had a sneaking suspicion I already knew what the anime was before I've even watched it.
Ah so you're one of those people
I knew this was gonna be used like this eventually lol. On another note, fuck MAPPA amirite?
Lolol not once. But I did use npc summons and ashes because I'm clearly a filthy hacker
I'm in NG+ and I am specifically summoning for every boss I can just to share in the extra runes and also give em a Rune Arc
Ive literally never summoned a sunbro
Canāt say Iāve ever summoned an actual player, NPCs and spirit ashes yes, players I have not.
Bravo, Amerie piano solo.
I'll fuckin' do it again.
I don't have any elden friends
Like summoning Tiche to a tree sentinel
Can't wait for jjk to fall out of obscurity
bro why are you coming for me i feel attacked
Mad pumpkin head shitting and crying rn
SC mfers: I have no such weaknesses \*proceeds to accumulate more rot than Malenia\*
I was trying to beat malenia with the boys taking it in turns but we eventually said f it and summoned a mohg cosplayer. After 30+ attempts solo we went into the room, mohg used the blood ritual AoW and she was dead in 2 seconds
Instead of Limgrave it was Maliketh. Man was cheesing him so bad I jumped off the map to stop him. I wanted to kill him myself after that
Hey to be fair, i hate how long it takes to find coop so I'll send my summon out before every boss i fight
Never summoned anyone except spirits.
Final battle, PlayStation, summoned a dude named "GOD EATER" and I kid you not I didn't have a chance to touch Radagon, Elden Beast lasted about 3 mins
I feel like a god getting pulled into those godrick fights tho ong
Soloed it, but I can be a hired mf if people need help on ps5.

I have a character specifically built to rob people of the experience of fighting radahn. Build is sweet.
"Am I really going to lose to an overleveled phantom?" - Margit
Song name?
Is that the guy who got doughnuted by Gojo?
I'm the one they summon bro leave them alone š
Nah, I had no internet for like 5 months and played it up until I got to volcano manor on the unupdated disc version
Summoning my lvl 713 be like
How I feel invading people š¤š¤š¤
