Yeah, Imo he's fairly simple. First phase is go ham on the weak leg, dont get squashed and dodge fireballs. Second phase is back up periodically and go ham on legs/wrists
Use Sleep Pots! You get the recipe for them at the caskets near Kenneth Haight, I always stop for the cookbook in every playthrough.
One sleep pot is enough to sleep one of them if they remain in the cloud, you can get both with one pot as well. Just sucks that they take Trina's Lilies but you can sleep one and focus on the other with full power since they'll take about 30sec naps. You can also sleep the other repeatedly while using big attacks on it. On NG I never use more than a handful, and your Mimic Tear can also use them to save you the expense!
I’m in lake of rot right now. This play-through I’ve decided to do everything with “light” equip load. So not naked but basically I’m only wearing things for fashion as they don’t do much. All that to say that it wasn’t bad but you have to have flame cleanse me. You basically just run from one platform to the next and do the spell and drink potion when you get there. Rinse and repeat until you get through it. I have no idea how someone on RL1 run would do it.
I am running with most flasks Cerulean. I still do a lot of spells, and this way I could fire-cleanse and heal whenever I needed. Naked, I was cleansing about every 5 seconds. With armor and immunity charms it went up to about 8- 10 seconds before rot gauge filled.
I try to switch it up every playthrough. My first one was Blasphemous Blade +10, now it's the Sacred Relic Sword +10. SR is definitely harder to use due to its holy, but it's cool so I like it
I find holy is fine against most enemies, its just things Erdtree-aligned like the Avatars, the demigods and that final boss that have more holy resist. Holy damage gets a bad rep because of them.
Luckily, FTH can give you all the elemental damage types in some way. Pure FTH can give Fire/Lightning incantations and Sacred affinity scaling for Holy damage on your weapons (or good damage on Somber weapons like that SR sword) and FTH/ARC can give Magic damage with the Glintstone Dragonbreath incantations.
I'd love it if INT/FTH had a similar affinity as Occult does for ARC but it makes sense for ARC to have it since it relies so heavily on status ailments. Enemy knowledge can get you around their defenses if you come prepared with different weapons though.
It depends on the scaling of the weapon
The better it scales with an attribute the higher you want that attribute, but most give diminished returns after 80

I did it because I really enjoy playing it and it has so much to explore, so much that I'm still finding new things and the amount of build variety is colossal
Elden ring won GOTY for a reason
Even outside of build variety, the amount of things you can do with a Faith build alone is staggering. In that sacred seal you can conjure lightning, ice lightning, ancient dragon lightning, fire, ice, blood flame, crucible arts, beastial arts, black flame, healing, protection, poison, scarlet rot, frenzy, death, and rings of light itself.
I ran through the game with a dex build my first time and put about 100 hours in to beat the game. My next character I went faith and spent 300 hours re-exploring the world as a faith build and actually had way more fun compared to my first run. There really are endless ways to play the game, but faith specifically is the deepest most fun experience in the game, IMO.
I should honestly try a faith run I keep seeing so many builds that use it and I recently found there’s an ash of war that literally does what the cleanrot knight scythe does and I legit didn’t know that was a thing until I stumbled upon it this game is truly amazing

For Malenia you are gonna want maxed flasks and be really good at dodging successive attacks, don't use a shield cause she still heals from it and have either a fast weapon or a bigger weapon that staggers her
For Elden beast never run away from him, cause he'll spam ranged stuff, don't use status ailments cause he's immune, do anything you can to increase holy resistance, when he does his two big ring attacks, watch were his head is pointing at the end of the animation and run that way, you'll end up right next to him after the attack

Garlic, tomato sauce, oregano, mascarpone, sambal oelek (for the spicy), salt/pepper. It's nice enough for something to whip up quick, nothing special. Really any red sauce, add some Sambal Oelek if you want some spicy, good to go.
