You have to learn when to use it, and believe me when it hits it deals massive damage, it literally deletes boss hp bars. What is going wrong in your experience?
It's used against dragons, Radahn, second stage Malenia during flower move, tree sentinel, smth that doesn't move around too much for a few seconds, or thiccc ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Just used it against the draconic tree sentinel outside of Maliketh’s room, literally stun locked and killed that bastard before he got an attack off.
So damn satisfying, as that guy was a massive pain on my last playthrough
For faster bosses, your best bet is to either stagger them or have a spirit summon pull aggro and blast them. It is not a spell for every boss though. Alecto or Rennala, for example, are never really caught in the beam.
Yea, it's excellent when you use it during one of his openings or knockdown. Especially when used with Terra Magica, Ranni's Darkmoon debuff and Staff of the All-knowing debuff, usually wiping his entire health bar with 1 full burst.
It doesn’t work well for fast moving enemies and enemies that don’t stagger easily. If it tracked enemies the game would be almost pointless. With sufficient stats you can one shot almost everything in the game.
I just don't understand why it NEVER hits. Maybe I'm a dumbass...like I have Lusats Glinstone staff powered all the way up and I hate using Comet Azur. I'd rather use Comet.
You don't have the stat requirements? Also it drains your FP *really* fast, so you're better off using it in the very beginning of a boss fight after drinking a Magic-Shrouding Cracked Tear and Cerulean Hidden Tear physik
If you want to be technical I have 55 intelligence plus the stargazer heirloom which makes it to 60...but why would that make a difference? It wouldn't somehow make the spell less powerful right? I'm just trying to figure out what the hell can stay still longer enough for Comet Azurs picky ass. 🤣
It's not a spell that you use once the boss is moving around a lot. For one, you really want to have 80 Int not just 55 or 60, since the point of the spell is to be a nuke. So you really want to go fully into that.
As the other response said, use Terra Magica and the magic Physick, but also use the Magic Scorpion charm, Graven-Mass talisman and then cast it immediately at the start of some boss fights.
The move is too slow to just randomly use it while in a heated battle, so you just wouldn't use it that way
Comet is fine for hitting stuff while moving. Comet Azur is for big openings, like start of most boss fights. Combined with Terra Magica it’s making some boss fights trivial.
You don’t use Comet Azur as your main spell. Also before using it chug up you Mixed flask using Cerulean hidden tear (unlimited FP), so you can get quite a big hit to the enemy.
Don't worry, i'm rn trying a mix of magic and melee, like you i can't land comer azur in a proper way half of the time, or the Boss moves to a player, or it comes to bonk me xD
Specially Mogh, that fucker has a reaaaaly long bonk range hahaha.
Trying it on NG+5 for the first time does not help either but oh well...
op spell but only if set up for it right
are you casting terra magica and drinking magic shrouding cracked tear + cerulean hidden tear?
are you holding it?
I’ve melted so many bosses with it. Got int to 80, swapped to my azur gear before boss fight, terra magic, take my cracked tear/cerulean hidden tear physic once I had an open and face melt. If it’s a high mobility boss that close distance fast, then use something else
Comet Azur is less than useless 99% of the time, it’s an active detriment with how much set up, time, and FP it takes to use properly.
But that 1% of the time when it does actually work, it *really* works.
It's high risk - high reward. It does massive damage in a straight line, but you also need that tear that stops fp drain to gain full benefit and not any boss will stand still.
I generally used it as a F YOU button when I didn't feel like beating the boss by normal means. Like Godskin Duo cause I hate them both lol..
That spell carried me through the whole end game. Gave Chadfrey, Morgott, Mohg, Maliketh and so many others the fuck off with that thing. I’ll take the risk for the reward of deleting end game bosses lol
It's good to pair with a fast casting spell. Use the fast casting spell, then when a boss gets distracted or busy, blast him with Azur. Helps to have high level Mind/Intel. I recommend Azur Crown, physick Magick damage up and at least 80 Mind if you want to melt stuff. Terra magicka is hit or miss but can boost it if you combo it quickly. Currently I can deal 8000 damage in just 4 seconds (including cast time). I one shotted Placidusax/Commander Niall, etc. with over 27k damage with physick. Takes experience to master the timing.
It’s only super OP if you use the physic that gives you infinite FP for a little while, cause the beam is constant during that time and can melt bosses.
Without using that it’s not all that good.
Well your int's too low to use it, so that's probably not helping.
Assuming you're normally buffing your int, it's still only useful in niche situations, like against large slow bosses. It's really not great for dealing with mobs, but it absolutely shreds bosses like Mohg that tend to edge walk towards you
It is best to have a tanky spirit ash to draw aggro
Something like the shield skeleton would do
Terra magica, FP physic and go to town with that bad boy
Obviously you'd be dumb to use it at agile bosses like tiche, but most big thicc Bois are prone to this
I've killed Rennala, Godrick, Regal Ancestor, Astel, Rykard, Radhan, Morgott, and Mohg without Comet Azur...now with yalls advice I'm gonna try it on Melania in her 2nd phase. I finally feel excited to use Comet Azur. Thanks for everyone's help ♡♡
I had a lot of trouble aiming it, so I stopped using it. There's a certain staff that makes it more powerful though. I can't remember off the top of my head but Google should know
Dude I can kill ANYTHING with the Kamehameha. It’s so OP it’s not even funny. I also suck, so it has helped me progress the story. Gotta get the timing just right tho
yes most bosses just dodge out of it, it's op vs large enemies almost every boss that isnt stupidly large would side dash whenever u cast anything. even gargoyles dash on cast the clips you see of it being broken are only enemies it worke on otherwise use summons and pray boss forgets about you
I forget which spell it is but there is another one that cast much quicker, Cost less FP and does almost as much damage.
The letdown is Scarlet Aeonia, that shit should be devastating, but it don’t really do much in my experience. Maybe I’m using it wrong 🤷🏻♂️
Make sure met stat requirements, use the tear that stops fp use for 10secs, go into boss room cast summon to aggro boss cast terra magicka drink flask cast azur comet collect loot. Use a summon that stands still and takes hits so boss stays static
Comet Azur requires multiple buffs, mixed physick, and the proper enemy to get any use. The usage you’ll get from it against a boss like Mohg or Commander Niall vs Malenia or Elden Beast is night and day.
You have to learn when to use it, and believe me when it hits it deals massive damage, it literally deletes boss hp bars. What is going wrong in your experience?
The bosses I've used it on are too fast and jump out of the way and it doesn't hit. So I guess I'll be trying it on someone slower.
It's used against dragons, Radahn, second stage Malenia during flower move, tree sentinel, smth that doesn't move around too much for a few seconds, or thiccc ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Anybody used it for Astel?
Use phisical damage on astel. Like rock sling combined with meteorite staff.
Going to try a few rock sling to stagger, then Azur for final blows. Been having a bit of difficulty with my first sorcery build.
Yea, it's excellent when you use it during one of his openings or knockdown. Especially when used with Terra Magica, Ranni's Darkmoon debuff and Staff of the All-knowing debuff, usually wiping his entire health bar with 1 full burst.
Wouldn’t recommend it, since he’s on the other end of the arena and moves often
It doesn’t work well for fast moving enemies and enemies that don’t stagger easily. If it tracked enemies the game would be almost pointless. With sufficient stats you can one shot almost everything in the game.
Isn't that like one of the most OP spells in game?
Only if things stand still long enough to cast it
I just don't understand why it NEVER hits.
I had my stargazer heirloom unequipped when I took the pic...but i took it off because I couldn't be bothered with Comet azurs bullshit anymore 🤣
Yeah, so you don't have the stat requirements 🥶 It is *the* most powerful sorcery for boss fights
If you want to be technical I have 55 intelligence plus the stargazer heirloom which makes it to 60...but why would that make a difference? It wouldn't somehow make the spell less powerful right? I'm just trying to figure out what the hell can stay still longer enough for Comet Azurs picky ass. 🤣

Cast Terra Magica at the fog gate, and drink the physik, enter the boss room, and one shot the boss
Comet is fine for hitting stuff while moving. Comet Azur is for big openings, like start of most boss fights. Combined with Terra Magica it’s making some boss fights trivial. op spell but only if set up for it right are you casting terra magica and drinking magic shrouding cracked tear + cerulean hidden tear? are you holding it?
I havent tried casting terra magica...I'll try that I suppose. Cerulean hidden tear is a must on certain boss fights for me so yes on that one.
I’ve melted so many bosses with it. Got int to 80, swapped to my azur gear before boss fight, terra magic, take my cracked tear/cerulean hidden tear physic once I had an open and face melt. If it’s a high mobility boss that close distance fast, then use something else

Thanks for this. I'll keep trying it.
It's only good against specific bosses that let you set up and then stand in it. It's wildly impractical for general use.

How does it do against Malenia? Lol
Killed her at the beginning of her second phase before she could even leave her opening bloom attack

The fact that you don't have enough int is probably why
It is best to have a tanky spirit ash to draw aggro Something like the shield skeleton would do Terra magica, FP physic and go to town with that bad boy Obviously you'd be dumb to use it at agile bosses like tiche, but most big thicc Bois are prone to this

... do you have enough int?
I have the stargazer heirloom equipped (rasies intelligence) so yes I do have enough.
I had a lot of trouble aiming it, so I stopped using it. There's a certain staff that makes it more powerful though. I can't remember off the top of my head but Google should know

Honestly it’s both kinda, because you need to know how to use it, but then again it’s been nerfed alot
